Slight error in the timeline. The Soviets and Russians were perfectly happy with the NSV. What drove the development and adoption of the Kord was that after the Soviet Union broke up, the NSV factory was in Kazachstan, not Russia. Rather than purchase a license from Kazachstan, Russia decided to devekop their own design so as to be free of any license reatrictions. Within the goal of backwards compatibility (albeit with adapters) to existing NSV applications, they decided they might as well see what improvements they could roll in, and managed to make the recoil much more controllable even whule reducing weight (in the bipod mounted infantry, it weighs less than 60 lbs - IOW, the entire gun (minus ammo) ready to be fired by an infantryman weighs about the same as an assembled M2HB *receiver* (without barrel, pintle, T&E, or mount). It is quite a facinating weapon.
m2 browning knockoff
Not even close. NONE of the many Russian 12.7 HMGs are even remotely based on the Browning, nor was the Browning even the first .50/12.7mm caliber MG. The DShK, NSV, and Kord (the three best known Russian 12.7mm HMGs) are all more technically advanced guns than the M2 Browning, precisely because they are later generation designs, while the Browning is basically a late *19th Century* design (John Browning came up with it in the late 1890s, but didn't bother developing it into production weapons until WWI), and mechanically it's pretty.much the same as the M1917 Browning. That's not a slam on the M2 series - it works well, in the hands of someone who has been trained, and no proposed replacement has had *enough* of an improvement over the legacy guns that it was worth replacing them in US service (heck, we even waited over *50 years* after FN introduced it before adopting an upgrade with fixed headspace and a true quick change barrel... something we *could* have done as far back as the mid 1930s, had we bothered). The NSV and (to an even greater extent) Kord represent a major step forward from the M2 Browning and DShK - they are GPHMGs, literally designed from the ground up as a truly universal HMG, designed from the output to be equally usable and suitable as bipod mounted infantry heavy support MGs, fixed vehicular mounted HMGs, or tripod or flexible vehicular mount HMGs. Two of the features that the Kord has towards that end are visible in the video - the cable "charging handle" (allows great mechanical advantage for cocking, and is "universal" in application) and the forward ejection (not really needed in ground roles, but *crucial* in fixed enclosed vehicular applications and extremely useful in flexible vehicular applications. It's OK to acknowledge that sometimes, an adversary has a good idea, even when they are very bad people.
I've also made a video about the M2 Browning, which will be released in the next few days.

Rather an Enfield anytime.z Best BA ever.
i had a few of them and they were pretty interesting rifles. Partly because they could be had in mint condition dirt cheap, even if re arsenaled in Russia. Now that they cost as much as a decent sporting rifle, not so interesting. Idiots and speculators work together.
Several years ago I purchased a Mosin rifle for $125.00 which is in excellent condition.
i had a 1943 ussr rifle great long range rifle / no safety

Machinists of Germany make a better M16 smooth strong thick moving parts
ไทยเราน่าเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ HK ของเราโดยการมีพานท้ายที่เหมือนหรือคล้ายกับHK 416จะดีมากเลยครับ...
Actually, the "German engineering masterpiece" was already completed BEFORE HK developed this rifle. Most of the design and engineering was already developed, and used (Stoner, M16, M4, and AR15) in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s way before German HK engineers DEVELOPED this rifle. They simply took an earlier design, replicated most of the design and functions and improved it. You CAN say it's a better engineered M4 design. I personally built and own two AR15s and a 7.62/81 AR10. The HK416 is VERY similar to all three.
"most of the designed allready developed".. "better enginered m4 design". you dont know what the term "engineering" means right.. its not only the designer of the first assault rifle in history which is called an "engineer", you dont need to invent it. but thats fine, we also invented the assault rifle, its called stg-44, so i guess you still can call it a german engineering masterpiece. hey do you know why "made in germany" is considered as the ultimative quality assurance in all around the world and so much better than the stuff the people in your country produce? because it is.
Kleine Anschubhilfe.
Badass helicopter. Also, the coaxial rotor design means it can also survive a hit to the tail, which would put other helicopters down that rely on a tail rotor.
1:26 What is a "...Steel Brass jacket..."? There's Steel & there's Brass, two very different materials. So there's a special assembly process? Can't you elaborate please.
Generally, "steel brass jacket" typically refers to a type of protective covering made of brass and reinforced with steel. This type of structure combines the strength and durability of steel with the corrosion resistance and workability of brass. This combination is often used in applications where both strength and corrosion resistance are important, such as plumbing fittings, marine hardware, and ammunition casings.
@@MilitaryWeapons365 So there are higher then standard pressures in this round? Similar to the pressure difference between a .308 & a 7.62 NATO?
it sure looks like a gun that would belong in the metro games
exactly 😉
“High Rate Of Fire”??? Not Really.
The M3/M3a1 was a basic issue item (BII) for US armored fighting vehicles. I familizared with the M3/M3a1 annually as a member of a M-551, M-60a1, and M-48 tank crew. Rugged, simplistic, slow rate of fire and easily used.
You are an honor and a source of gratitude. Thank you for the memories.
One thing that you should mention is whether the Grease Gun was made for $20 1940's dollars or 20 of today's dollars because there's a difference. If It's 1944 dollars, then that amounts to $356 today, while still cheap, it's not the same thing as $20 today. And $20 back in 1944 was a decent amount of money considering that a loaf of bread is said to have cost anywhere from $.15 - $.17, that's cents. And a 1 bedroom apartment would cost anywhere from $20 - $20 a month,. So taken in context, an M3 wasn't that cheap, but definitely cheaper than anything else being fielded by the US at the time. Another thing of note, the M3's stamped construction wasn't something unique to the M3, just unique for a US made weapon of the time. The Germans were already fielding stamped steel weapons in the form the MP38 & 40. I believe that the MG-42 utilized some stamped parts and the STG-44 was made from stamped steel as well. Lastly, one thing that's worth mentioning is that the M3 stayed in the US inventory for a long, long time. It was still in use as a backup weapon for armored vehicle crews during Deset Storm. So its legacy endured to well after the end of WWII.

This "Battle Tank", in reality it is only a Tank, because it has seen no BATTLE yet (and probably never will)
Unfortunately it does not work, simple as.
So stealthy that it's yet to be seen on the battlefields of Ukraine.
Great videos mate. But the Watermarks are extremely annoying and distracting. Pls place them elsewhere so we can enjoy the video rather than seeing the Watermark all of the place

I see the Putin Propoganda Machine is strong with this one. The T14 Armata is an underpowered under-performing pile of spin doctor rubbish. Its last outing it had to be towd from thee parade lineup because the engine broke. Never seen battle, never seen extensive testing and only a handful of example exist and Putrid won't risk sending to the front because he knows what a pile of garbage it is. A Bradley could probably take it out.

Hot garbage. The engine is based off a German WW2 design for a super-heavy that never made it into production, for reasons that also included the complexity of the engine and its reliability problems. It's also a guarantee they can't build anymore T-14s, or at least not enough to make a difference since they screwed themselves out of the Western tech they need to build them. In fact, I'd go so far to say that the T-90 if built to spec and retains ALL of its components before hitting the field of battle ie: no stripping parts and components off them to sell, is superior to the T-14. But corruption hollowed out that tank as well and the war cut them off the tech they need to build them too. One thing I've learned in my 57 years of existence is, when the Soviet Union/Russia or China says they developed the best piece of military hardware ever, they aren't even close.
Thank you for your feedback. It really helps me create better videos.
A strongly doubt that "many" countries around the world were wanting to buy it. I don't know if you know anything about tanks or amoured vehicles in general, but the T14 has way too many of what is known as "shot" traps. Meaning that the design has quite a few places where a round will not bounce off the armour, but get caught in that armour and explode. The front and sides of the turret have several , as well as just beneath the main gun. If you look at modern NATO tanks, as well as the Israeli Merkava, you'll notice that the front armour on the turret is all smooth, there is nowhere for a round to be caught. You'll also notice that the gap between the the barrel and the tank chassis is very small, unlike the T14. The T14 has also not made an appearance on the frontline in Ukraine at all. For the simple reason, Russia knows it won't be effective and they don't want to take another hit to their already dented pride. They should have stuck with the T90, and spent the money on upgrading that rather than a new tank design. Would have been more cost effective and they were already building them.
Thank you for your feedback. It really helps me create better videos.

lol russia garbage equipment & military - biggest paper tiger on earth. there's a reason they can't take Ukraine after YEARS of trying (even WITH the UNPARALLELED DESIGN of the SU35 [which gets beaten every time by any variant of the F35) - China & Russia can't even get ahead when they steal technology and patents from the West (whilst also crying about the west being evil imperialists)
