I noticed you didn`t show how you got that back starter bolt back in.
Does the gearbox have to be striped off in order to change the Input shaft bearing?

En mi 206 había una fuga de gas en la parte delantera entre los tubos de escape, hizo mucho y se arrastró, arrancó y se encendió la lámpara de control del motor.
Mi carro es un Peugeot 207 a veces arranca y a veces no será por el sensor de oxigeno múltiple de escapé

I wouldn't unbolt the shock mount if anyone is planning on doing this. its very high torque and will be difficult to break without a big cheater bar. just take out the long bolt from the end of the swing arm, use a hammer to drop the swing arm out of the knuckle, and remove the tie rod end from the knuckle. you will have plenty of space by moving the knuckle around. the shock gives it plenty of give. of course you will need a cheater bar to break the axle nut loose.
Hi. I dont see where you describe vibration.? Im trying to diagnose a vibration under acceleration that increases with speed. No vibration in neutral so I dont think mounts. Could worn axles cause such a vibration? Great video by the way. Thanks.

Thanks for movie compliments! Watch at 0:25 to 0:30 if you feel a free play and hear a knock while shaking the axle up and down (not in and out) the inner joint is worn (the one the is close to the transmission). The drive feeling when accelerating is like you are in a laundry machine drum even I’ve never been into 😂

Do you have a check engine light on dashboard ? Can you read obd trouble code and see if there is an error code ?

you might accidentally moved the gears a bit in relation to one another. Even rotating them by one gear relative to each other may damage your engine, there are special dots cut out on the gears which point to the correct alignment, both of the timing gears should be perfectly aligned with those cutouts.

Great work and video. Chain issues put me right off the 2.2 when i was looking for a 159, really didn't want a Diesel so dug deep and got a 1750 Tbi (they tend to be more expensive than the others), even then i've had to get the gearbox rebuilt and the injectors cleaned/reconditioned ,worth it though, they are great cars. Hello, I could get the valve cover away and have acces to the side of it where the A/C and Alternator Belt is. I now ordered a tool to push the belt tensionier away. After that I can get the crankshaft pully out. Do I need to get the Belt tensioner away too? I cannot loosen its bolt. Did you need to take more things away except the crankshaft pulley to open the side cover?

Engine mount must be taken away to do the timing work, I have supported engine with a block of wood on the oil pan and a Scissor jack to let you the flexibility lowering and lifting the engine on mount re-install

The Cloyes part numbers you’ve mentioned also fits your GM Ecotec 2.2 engine (same block in opel vectors, Chevy Malibu and other cars). Do you need to replace also the camshaft sprockets ? The sprockets in the kit I’ve been using (TCK5 and TCK3 from FAI autoparts) and the Cloyes you’ve been mentioned won’t feet since you have variable cam sprockets)

@@orenweinstock6867 that’s my issue I have the same car as you mine almost feels like the torque converter but shifts good and is fast and mine happens on take off or when I slow down hopefully it’s that instead of the torque converter
I’ve started with the four engine mounts (initially thought problem is there) replacing all four - the wobbling you are describing remained. Then suspected Tranny has an issue but when reading a bit and asking all pointed to the CV axle - most of the cases it’s the long one (right) that fails but I’ve replaced both. Keep in mind tranny oil is dropped when getting out the shafts.
You can do the quick test of shaking cv axle at the tranny end up and down (not in and out) as described in the video if there is a free play and knock sound this is it
BTW, another possibility is worn wheel bearing. Please update …

Salut ! Je n'ai eu aucun problème de valve. les moteurs GM ecotech (comme le jts 2.2) ont de temps en temps un problème commun de chaîne de distribution tendue. J'ai réparé deux moteurs qui avaient exactement le même problème. une fois ce problème résolu, changez votre huile moteur tous les 7 500 km. cela augmentera l'intervalle de changement de chaîne de distribution.

If you're having issues separating the radiator from the condenser, there are two bolts on the bottom left and bottom right that you'll need to remove. I was super confused after watching this video and not being able to just lift out my radiator like shown in the video.

As he didn’t mention it, for anyone who has a seized sensor and they don’t have an impact tool, I heated mine with a blowtorch 👍🏻 but of course, be very careful when doing this as there are a lot of wires and plastic components that are around the bank 1 sensor
Another thing always clean off surfaces before replacing the part for a better flush fit
The shop quoted $1800 to fix the leaky struts on my lowered 4G. Previous owner lowered it the cheap and bad way (cutting the stock springs). I'm not much of a car guy but I do have access to all the tools already so I'm gonna use this video to try and do it myself. Bought some $300 coilovers with damping adjustment online. Not the best ones ever but I'm thinking they'll most likely improve the ride over the cut springs and two leaky struts I have now. Thank you so much for making this!!!

Excellent video, are the Monroe the only shocks you trust? Do you know anything about unity automotive struts & shocks and if they’re any good?
Brian, much appreciate for your response ! I have chosen the Monroe since it was available in ‘ready to install’ configuration, the original ones were KYBs. As for the front shocks, there was no ‘ready to install’ option so I bought KYBs and intend to take out the springs and drop in the new ones soon
@@orenweinstock6867 oh ok interesting, the problem I’m having is that I have these cheap coilovers installed and they’re complete junk. So I don’t have the original coil springs. I think my only option is to buy used oem for the front.
My moto is stock, hate those modifications make a car diff than factory setup. If I were you, I would be looking for a salvage car to get the old fronts out of it take the coils and order new KYB shocks at rockauto. Be careful as I think Cois/socks might be different per submodel (spider/SE/GS/GT...) I assume it is related to diff weights of each trim
