    Thank you for this I have been a CFS sufferer for (sadly) 29 years which was onset after binge drinking on my 18th birthday! Nothing has worked and no advice from doctors really. Have only just heard of the Perrin technique so going to look into this. Would be interested to know if you have heard of such happening after a big night out! Are you fully recovered or do you have any relapses now (seems approx 3 years since you did this video so would be great to hear). Hopefully good news

    When you say start with a small amount of fermented foods, what exactly do you mean. Like just two drinks of kefir, or 2 tbsp of plain yogurt - something like that? I've been taking probiotics for a while since I have MCAS from the Long Haul and they say the fermented foods are high histamine. That's why I've been taking the probiotics. But maybe the fermented foods are better for some reason.

    Interesting that what is call Graded exercise therapy has been removed as a treatment for CFS. My guess is that too many people were crashing and it was felt that the exercise was doing more harm than good. Perhaps the key is to just be so incredibly slow and incremental in progressing through a program, and maybe the problem is that most people weren't able to move slow enough.

    Hi Sarah - I recently found your video on the Perrin technique and found it very useful! You mentioned in one of the comments earlier that you're 95% recovered. Have you recovered completely now? I've been suffering with long covid for more than 2 years and about 90% recovered now. The problem I'm now facing is the inability to exercise strenuously. I can do mild exercises like yoga, pilates, brisk walks, biking slowly etc without any issues. The moment I do something that pushes my heart rate up for a decent amount of time, I get PEM symptoms. So, I have to be extremely careful about when to stop doing the exercise/activity. Are you now able to do strenuous exercises? Thank you for your videos, they are genuinely helpful!

    • @sarahchristine7869
      @sarahchristine7869 2 года назад

      Thank you! I would say that I am pretty much fully recovered. I still make sure I stay very in tune with my body and am aware of making sure I don’t overdo things. As far as strenuous exercise goes. That’s a hard one to measure for me, as I wasn’t one for really strenuous exercise even before I got Covid. I’ve always been into hiking and could do long, fast-paced walks before Covid, and have now worked my way back to that. But it has taken a long time. And if I do go on a hike like that I make sure I plan down time before and afterwards. I’m so sorry about what you’ve been through, and I hope that you get back to pre-Covid health really soon.

I wish I have found your channel sooner. Everything I’ve learned through the journey - you summarized it perfectly! Nervous system balancing, hydration, rest, diet, movement, healing from trauma, gratitude, sunlight, positive mindset. Health and healing is not complicated. I’m grateful for the journey as it forced me to stop and re-examine my life. Thank you for making these videos. Simple, practical, informative. I wish all the doctors would use it for their patients.

    Hi Sarah, thank you so much for putting in the energy to share your experiences with long covid. Quick question. At this point, are you still finding that you still need to practice “pacing”? i.e., do you still feel vulnerable to PEM? Anyway, I tested positive for covid 5 months ago. I wish I had known about “pacing” much earlier; 4 weeks ago I started to feel like I was on the mend and joined a gym!! 😳 Huge mistake! I went 2 days in row to the gym; one weights, one cardio. A couple of days after I was in a state of fatigue far worse than it had ever been. Sorry to share this too but I think it’s important. Over the next 2-3 days my urine was brown. I read more about it and now think I was excreting myoglobin due to muscle tissue death. There is some research out there indicating mitochondrial dysfunction in long covid patients, specifically, a dysfunction in the area of fatty acid oxidation.
