Trying DTF On Black Leggings
I wear black leggings almost every day and I got tired of not having a pop of color on them. I decided to decorate the bottom front of my leggings with a DTF transfer. I got the design from Creative Fabrica and modified it to the size I needed. I am loving this technique which I had never tried before but will definitely do again.

Meet ILA and Remy Our New Team Members at 2 And Or 4

After the devastating losses of our two beloved Pugs, Boo and Brandy, last year we felt ready to open our hearts again to new pups. We were determined to adopt and not shop since there are so many dogs out there needing homes. We worked with Pug Rescue of Austin (not many pugs available on the East Coast) to adopt ILA and Remy. Their mom is 100% Pug but the dad was a mixture of many breeds. Pug...

Too many “and umm”
Great idea. My young friend is getting married, a western wedding outside with taco bar. She asked me to make her a ‘bib’ , I love this idea, I think I’ll make it thinner around the neck, it’s October in CA & may still be a little warm.
I love the idea of making the bride a beautiful dining scarf for her special day! So many options for the fabric. I really appreciate your watching and taking the time to comment.
I made a Senior napkin BOA I just cut the kitchen boa shorter and put the towel on the ends. these are a big hit to give to seniors in nursing homes and seniors who are having trouble eating. Also great for seniors with problems just making a mess on their clothes. Your idea is nice but the towel works better than just fabric. I did make one of yours but folks did not like it.
I say "To each their own". Glad you found something that works for you. I, personally, do not want to wear a kitchen towel. I not only use my dining scarves at home, but take them to restaurants (I pick ones to match my outfit). My winter ones are great in that they keep me warm too and sometimes I wear one all day.
I always wear black too, this is a great idea to add some colour. I haven’t tried DTF yet, might need to give it a go. Great video Naomi 😊
Hi Karen, thank you for watching and always being so supportive. There are so many different designs that you can put on your bottoms to give them a pop of color. I am trying some butterflies, flowers and geometric designs next. I am putting together a DTF gang sheet (I don't own a DTF printer) of several designs I want to try. I may never have just plain black leggings again!
Great idea to add color and brighten up a plain pair of pants!!
Hi Barb! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I may never have another pair of plain black leggings again!
The leggings came out very cute
Hi Renee! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm loving the limitless DTF options this gives me. I just wear plain black cotton/spandex (I am allergic to most polyester) leggings so this is exciting that I can decorate them.
Looks very pretty!!!
@@cheeseit123451 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Where you get the ldesign
Thank you for watching and commenting. I setup the design myself using the "Chasing Snowflakes" BX embroidery font by Digitizing With Love. I purchased the font on Etsy.
Very nice idea for a lady!! I just love it! Thanks for the nice tutorial.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have so many of these. I have them made out of summer weight materials (cottons, linens) and winter weight materials (brushed cottons, flannels). It makes me happy when I can share a project that is useful to others.
After watching a few of these videos, I am starting to feel a little better about myself. I live alone and the tv is my dinner company. And I like saucy foods. Do the math LOL An apron just doesn't provide sufficient coverage. So this is next on my list of projects.
Hi Judy - Thank you for watching and commenting. I will be doing another video on the Dining Scarf to show you can make them longer (requires 4 pieces of fabric instead of 2 or 54" wide fabric) and wider if you feel you need just a bit more coverage.
Thanks Naomi! I have some of those swifter clothes. Were the Clorox ones moist?
@@MakingwithMarilyn Hi Marilyn, thanks for watching and commenting. No the Clorox wipes were not wet. They are dry, dusting cloths but seem to be discontinued. I am still searching for a comparable replacement.
the best explanation!! you are real teacher
Thank you for watching and commenting. I also appreciate the compliment. I love when I can share and it helps someone else!
youre a lifesaver thank you!

Awwww!!! I love them!!!😍 🥰
Thank you Sonya. We love them too!!!
The puppies are just the cutest. Congratulations on your new fur babies
Thank you Renee! We wanted to do rescue dogs but we never thought we would get puppies. They are a handful, but they make us laugh every day.
@@2andor4 I hear you on that. We rescued a kitten and now we have 3 cats that we rescued kittens
I am crying through this video, tears of joy. I am so happy for you and for the pups!!! And off topic, I love your hair color.
Thank you. I have cried many tears myself. I will always miss Boo and Brandy but it is because they were such wonderful dogs that I feel like I can love another pair of dogs. As to the hair color- thank you again.
They are adorable! Congrats on the new fur kids!
Thanks Barb! Puppies are a lot of work but bring so much joy!
So sweet, congrats to you and the pups. They are lucky to have found a wonderful home❤🐶
Thank You Ollie!
It’s nice seeing you back Naomi, and lovely seeing your little boy ❤
Thank you!!!!
Great tutorial Just moved into independent living and many residents wear bibs, these would be more fun and dignified Thank you
Thank you for watching and commenting. They are so much more dignified than a bib. Also, you can make them to match outfits or be themed for holidays. I just made myself a 4th of July one.
Great job!! I love your new table. What a great addition to your craft room!
Thank you Sandy! Really miss you guys!
Looks great so far Naomi!!! <3 Sending hugs!!!
Hi Naomi 👋Love your craft table.
Thank you Sonya! I'm really loving it!
That is how I made both my cutting and pressing tables. Lots of storage and new ways of organizing. I used the iris drawer units in some if my cubes to store different sewing notions and supplies. Plus, both units are in wheels. You will love your new working table
I love it already! Thanks for watching and commenting!
This new table is so big and I bet you are really enjoying it! Looking forward to Part 2.
Thank you for watching and commenting! I am loving the table. It is big enough for me to take a nap on!🤣🤣🤣 I have spent today editing Part 2 so I can post it tomorrow.
Hello it had been awhile
You are right- it has been awhile. I miss everyone!
It is a wonderful idea, I'm going to make these for myself and for gifts. Thank you for a great tutorial!!
Hi Diane, Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. It is such an easy project but so useful. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial.
Can you add color or change it, when the design is totally one color, like all black?
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. If I understand your question correctly, if you Are starting with a design that is all one color, even black, you would only be able to change the design to be all one color, any color you choose. In order to add additional colors to parts of the design requires you to add run the stitch simulator and add stops where you want to change colors. I hope this answers the question.
@@2andor4 yes it does...thanks.
I have thought about making my husband an adult bib but somehow did not feel that it would be something he would feel comfortable wearing. I will make this scarf! My husband is a golfer. I can embroider a golfer on both sides using green on one side and blue on the other side. I think he will be happy to use it anywhere! Also I could embroider a collage logo on each side or simply use collegiate fabrics! Love it.! TY!
Hi Marcy! Thanks for watching and commenting. I love your idea of embroidering a golfer on both sides of the scarf. This will make it more "masculine". Using darker plaids of brushed cotton is another way. I wish RUclips allowed posting of photos because I would love to see what you come up with. I do have an email listed on my channel page in the description (About) if you want to email me a photo.
For more years than I can count this has been happening to me. Whenever we travel I have to take extra tops. I’m over being embarrassed about it. My friends even bet on how long it will take!😝
Hi Kate! Thank you for watching and commenting. I feel your pain about having to take extra tops when you travel. Now I just pack scarves to match my shirts and when I'm not eating I just keep the scarf open. I even have one in my car for the times I have to eat on the go. I am experimenting with different closures including magnetic brooches.
VERY HELPFUL! A lot easier than changing each one.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. It is appreciated. Just remember that it will change the color in your entire design.
@@2andor4I was looking specifically how to change the color in the entire design. Thank you for making the video. I appreciate it.
Great comparison. How does the quality of the thread compare to Madeira? I just subscribed 😊
Thank you for subscribing and commenting. It is very appreciated. In my opinion, I find the quality of the Candle Thread equal to Madeira’s. It washes and holds up just as well too.
You inspire me thank you
What a sweet thing to say! Thank you for watching and commenting. It is so appreciated!
Hi Naomi! I really like this design and how it came out.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I am making another one for myself because I like it so much.
This is such a lovely design, it turned out really nice 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting. It brought back fond memories of my time volunteering at the school for the deaf.
Very quiet machine.
Love the sign language embroidery design!
Thanks Barb. It brought back some old fond memories.
Just wondering if this needs top stitching around outer edges so it doesn't separate when laundering?
I have not top stitched any of the ones I have made and I have washed them several times. I iron them after washing. It is my personal opinion and preference NOT to top stitch the ones I have make out of cotton type fabrics, including brushed cotton. However, I did top stitch one that I made out of microfiber (video will be coming), to use in my bathroom, because of the nature and thickness of microfiber.
I also have problems with my hands and am always dropping things.
I am chesty too. My chest catches it all.
What brand needles do you find do best?
I use BALL Points 90/14 for Sherpa and Fleece since they are technically knits,. I use Schmetz, Groz or Organ brand needles. Some machines are particular about which brand (thankfully, my machine seems to take them all). Regardless of what brand you use, change your needle often (every 6 to 8 hours of sewing time) since a new needle can make a difference on how your machine sews! P.S. It seems Schmetz came out with a needle for Fleece fabric but I have not tried it yet. I am going to get some and try them. www.amazon.com/Schmetz-Fleece-Needles-Machine-None/dp/B08SCNKGJ8/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3DWESLMDFA66K&keywords=schmetz+fleece+needles&qid=1705071503&sprefix=schmetz+fleece+needles%2Caps%2C70&sr=8-1
@@2andor4 oh thats great!!! I'm going to Joanns now! :) and I have found Schmetz better also just wasnt sure if there was soemthing better! thanks for thte info!!! much help!
I love it Naomi. What a beautiful way to honour your furbabies. The design turned out great!!! Congrats on 500 subbies!!!!
Thank you Sandy. It is just a way to keep them with me for one more Christmas.

Congratulations on 500 subs🎉💙🎉. Keep going!! You're doing amazing!
Thank you Demps! It is people like you who keep me going. My 500th subscriber turned out to be my 11 year old grandson who had just been allowed by his parents to use RUclips (he had YT kids) and the first thing he did was went and subscribed to my channel! I will always remember who was my 500th subscriber!
@@2andor4 Aww now that is so sweet!! You should make him a shirt that says 'Mr. 500' lol. Only you all will know what it means😃💙
Your hoodie looks great!
Thank you Barb! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
It’s amazing you got through that video Naomi. We lost our oldest Labrador in September and I can’t get used to him not being here. This is a beautiful tribute to your lovely pups xx
Thank you Karen for your empathy and understanding! Brandy and Boo were always by my side (literally - I couldn't even go to the bathroom w/o being followed)! I am so sorry for your loss too. I feel our dogs love us unconditionally and ask for so little in return.
And another thing lol, I love the music you chose while the machine was stitching out. It was so calming💆🏾♀️💆🏾♀️
Thank you for pointing out the music. I find it difficult to find free music that matches the vibe of the video so it takes me a while to search and find. Also - I always put the volume down to 50% on whatever music I pick because I do not like when the music is "screaming"!
@@2andor4 you're welcome! I went to the link that you shared to check it out because like you, it takes me a while to find free and good music to use.
I'm glad you figured out the issue! Your hoodie turned out so nice. It was nice of the company to change up their design to meet your needs. Your pups look great and again, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can feel your emotion through the screen💙🙏🏽🫂
Thank you Demps! The depth of my emotions has surprised me! I almost did not post this video.
