No it’s like on the frame it’s got a hose that goes in to on the frame. It almost looks like a fuel filter but it’s not…..someone says it’s like a vacuum fuel cut off valve…I don’t know

Found that it’s called a fuel tank roll over check valve.

Ah man... was so long ago I can't remember. I do remember taking the hose in so they would match it, because I couldn't for the life of me figure it out lol.

Thanks! I tried taking off the truck bed first, but there were so many things attached that I'd have have to unhook that it wasn't worth it. So if he did that method I can see why he would charge more!

According to google, " The polarity of the coil should match that of the battery by connecting it so (+) goes to (+) and (-) connects to (-). But don't worry about which way you install the battery (positive or negative ground) or which way you install the coil (regardless of coil markings) it will automatically adjust itself." Mine had a tiny plus somewhere on it.

Which frankly, is how all these videos were made: the Mazda book which made no sense, or other forums which tried to describe things. That’s the best I got for you! Sorry :P

lol I hear yah, thanks for reaching out! Long story short built a tiny house on the back of my ford F-150 and had an oops making the final window. Oops with a table saw. Really was a combination bad luck, stupidity, and equipment malfunction. Just had my last surgery Friday in fact, and happy to be done with all that. In the meantime, I am still woodworking and generally having a great time.

Hurm... I ended up changing the ignition switch, but my issue turned out to have been the distributor had to be replaced. Sorry it took so long to respond, I get lazy. Hope your issue has been fixed!

@@ninjaofalltrades4293 Hi.. there! Watched this a couple of years ago & finally here to refresh my memory & try this myself. I haven't watched the Chris fix video on bleeding the brakes yet. Don't you want to flush the old fluid out before bleeding the lines?? The cylinder in mine is so old I don't dare try this without totally flushing the old fluid out first. I see that you have a jack & stands. I don't have the proper tools to work on wheels & wheel lugs. Is it possible to flushthe old & bleed the new fluid without jacking the truck up & removing the wheels & tires?? I don't want to do that! I'd probably have a mechanic do the job if it's required to get the job done. Hope not! For some reason I'm attracted to women who can efficiently work on things, especially dark complected gals! 😘 That was cool..! 😎 I'm Jay.. ✌️😉

@@jhenry0688 good morning! It’s been a while since the video but because I had already replaced the cylinder and painted the new one blue I did not mention it in this video. But yes, do that first. It’s possible I only took all the wheels off so I could do the video, I can’t remember if the valve is accessible with the wheels on, I think it is. But yeah if you have doubts pay someone else to do it cus it’s your breaks and doing that wrong could make for an interesting day!

Yeah, I learned that sometime after making the video I think! I was like WTF?! The Mazda engineers really had no Fs to give in regards to repair design.

The one I took off didn't have one, but if yours is leaking see if there are any defects with the parts that meet. I'm sure you can buy a gasket as well. Options are Rockauto.com, auto zone, and the likes.

I was doing updates on all the things I could, but at the time (and which I didn't know) I had a bad distributor. Was going through process of elimination until I found what was wrong with the truck. Wasn't starting at all.
