Could've been even more evil with extra appendages (more edges on all those attacks and grabs), but this is a real nasty villain. I'd considered something similar as a player (sans Time Travel) and it looks BRUTAL. Don't even have Energy Absorption to refuel or Lightning Actions.
I think this video is wrong? Mighty 1 states: Treat the character as two sizes bigger for lifting, carrying, swinging and throwing things. They also add +2 to their Melee damage multiplier, AND they gain a +2 bonus to Melee checks other than attacks. You mentioned it's an "OR" which isn't correct.
These builds are amazing, any chance we can get like a spreadsheet with the builds on them?
Blink, Surprising power (Lightning action), iconic weapon, speedy fists, this is beginning to sound like one very very powerful brawler Edit: Now add additional limbs for more edge
Lightning Actions... The bane of all Villains!! Love the idea of getting the benefit of lightning actions without your villain having to be a speedster. Thank you for that, also Legendary actions (genius), I did something similar for my BBEG but called it villain points, but it worked.
Following Marvel Lore, the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak doesn't work on it's own; they need to be in good graces with Cyttorak and he alone choses if they become his avatar, or not. So I think the Narrator chooses basically. D&D5 can work here. I also use the "mob mechanics" from that game. Also, magic items can only be used by magic users, and tech / alien tech can only be used by someone that understands it. Love the Attunement slots. Although I understand the rank prerequisites, I don't agree with the example, as the crimson gem takes Cain Marko from rank 0 / 1 to Rank 4 Juggernaut. It's basically it's whole thing, the fact that it ups the users power.
The X-men powers are cool. Dreamwalking, the teleport changes, etc. But I feel that the most OP power in the game is just "copy power". I homebrew some things into it like, "has to have seen the powers being used" and cannot copy powers that area "tech reliance item" or "magic reliance item" just because they do not have the item that enables that.

Movements do not stack. You can't use Super Speed with Flight or any other movement. Enhanced Physique does not stack with other strength enhancing factors, so it would not stack as you said.
Interesting ideas all around gonna have to try some of these out

Thanks for the video. I don't understand why you would take Wallcrawling and Webslinging and Jump when you could just take Flight. Speed Run 1 later on increases Flight very well with no need to take Speed Run 2 and instead take Flight 2. Otherwise an interesting concept.
It's true, flight is just more flexible. Mostly, went into those powers for vibes.
@@iheartmonsters782 I had a feeling you had an unspoken purpose. Otherwise it is too easy to keep picking the same powers repeatedly because they are optimal.

I had a fun plasticity character that used the extra reach for quaking and really abusing a wide radius. There's so much fun to be had with that reach boost
It has a lot of implications and yeah, it’s so much fun to play with.
Been tinkering with the idea of Anger and Energy Absorption as a combo. Do this all day and Regain Focus is a much better plan - Thank you for the video.

the X MEN villain Juggernaut in the comics it used to take the whole team to fight him and then some of the stronger heroes like Thor or Hulk could kind of take him on one on one .
I don't know if this would help anyone else, but I've homebrewed Health to equal Rank x Resilence x 10. Minimum of 10 health.

Wow I hadn’t looked at Doom as it would have to be a very special situation for them to pull the most one the most powerful human on the planet. I will have to rebuild him I guess. This is the man who took on the Beyonder and won. Took complete control over Ultron. Has fought Ben Grim in hand to hand. His armor and force field alone has stood up to heralds of Galactus. Thanks for the information, But I want him to fight, use his armor, and magic. Doom should not have to rely on minions to survive combat with a group of heroes. He could eventually get overwhelmed but he will have already planned for his exit once he accomplished his goal. I’m not saying he can’t be defeated but usually he skips out or claims diplomatic immunity . Just curious, and I will check but my guess is Magneto would make short work of him with their current stats, but in the comics his powers did not work on Doom’s armor! I just noticed that his origin is magic, should he have Hight Tech first and then magic as a possible second. Isn’t he Reed’s rival, not Stephen’s. Though he is a capable wizard, He is a superior scientist.Oh well I still like the game but there are a few characters they seemed too underpowered but it usually easy enough change their stats. What’s you thought on making a more powerful Doom?
I agree. Doom is much more badass than the way I'm hearing him described according to the stats. He should probably be rebuilt or at least enhanced. Doom is no pushover.
Agreed, he should be way more powerful than he actually is in the game. I'm coming out with a video about making Rank X villains, and a lot of what I would do to kick Doom into overdrive is in there. But maybe in the future when I analiye a villain I'll add in a section on how I would improve the stat block (if it needs it). Thanks for the ideas.
not sure if you checked out the new Deadpool adventure Deadpool role plays the Marvel Universe . it has a new character She Hulk Lyra and she has a new power that will be in the X Men book . She has a power control called Power Slider in the comics when she gets mad her powers get weaker when it is explaining the power in the book it tells you what to do to make her powers act like the comics and become weaker . the book makes it sound there is also how this power will boost a power like Strong Guy

Solid advice. I used the Hand similarly, where it was more of a race to get to an item, rather than a straight combat scenario.

Thanks so much, very few people seem to be making build guides for this game. I'm confused about Lightning Actions. I know this isn't a combat monster build but I'd still expect to take Lightning Actions and use the extra action for a move. With Surprising Power, you could go 50% faster from the start by moving 3 times instead of two. I'm new, so please excuse me if I've misunderstood the rules
Thanks so much and it’s a fair question. I don’t do lightning actions as a personal restriction (I’ve used it a bunch recently). But if you were building this character for a game, yes, you should totally take it. I also didn’t calculate the speed when using your action to dash, as I thought it would confuse the math. That was for clarity purposes when looking at the fly speed.
for me seeing how some of the characters powers work in the game like Sebastian Shaw , Fang and the new powers . then some of the X MEN maps for key locations

Really cool concept and i really enjoyed this! Question, wouldnt it be better not to take mighty 1? If youre doing this for when you cant grow to titanic, wouldnt that mean the object also couldnt grow to titanic as well?
It’s a fair point. If you can’t grow to a larger size you would want Mighty to ramp damage. I just don’t have the room to take the Mighty powers as a backup the way I would want. But someone could prioritize differently and take them and it’s a good choice.

I hope one of the new power sets is a cloning power set or a generic summoning power that can be a cloning power if ya need it to be. I love multiple man and am very excited to see how they make his powers work.

Hey, new Marvel rpg content. I've been running The Conquest of Kang for my group and these videos have be a big help so thx
Rather than making and sacrificing a rank 6 hero. I would warp the story slightly and have the Player Heroes be variants sent by the Time Variance Agency (TVA) to deal with this incursion. With the Heroes being variants it makes it more understandable if they are defeated, to go back and pull them from a different timeline prior to being pruned, and the sacrifice at the end can be a shot at redeption or betrayal depending on the part of a Hero. Think of Silvi from the Loki series having her own moment to defeat Kang the destroyer knowing that if she does it will require her death. With the TVA hook you can reset the battle as many times as you need to if the Heroes are defeated to make it painfully clear that only using the sacrifice Mcguffin will work.
