I just bought a 555 28 ga and its a PIECE OF TRASH. it was a warranty claim right out of the box: barrel does not fit properly with the receiver and is a safety issue as stated in the suppliers documentation. Customer service was condescending and argumentative, they even laughed. since I bought this to introduce my grandkids to shotgunning, I failed to see the humor. I wouldnt shoot this piece of junk and I sure wouldnt let any one I love or care about use it

Maybe it's because my rifle is old? Like over 100 years old? lol. I have used a sporterized (Flip up sights milled off, tapped for scope) 1917 Enfield 30.06 for many years that I cleaned the cosmoline off of when I got it. I use fairly hot hand loads at @ 2990fps (groups grow if over 3k) with a 165 gr bullet, and it shoots sub-minute groups after I had the barrel crowned. That .3" difference he shows has me scratching my head. I am sighted in on 100 yds. At 50, it's 2" high. At 300 yds, it's 4" low, so I know that I can put the crosshairs pretty much anywhere on my game at 300 yds or less. Now.. My 50BMG is a different story. I don't know the exact measurement, but a 50mm scope on top of a picatinny rail, there's a lot of space between center of barrel and center of scope. I sighted it in at 50 yds when I first got it. Backed to 100yds and it was over 8" high. We've been clearing brush and trees and I may get to try 200 yds soon. Tough to find places to shoot the 50.

I've used free hand (with the gammo) and bipod and braced. But last, most repeatable shots were with a couple of sandbags I use to hold model airplane parts still and the - sites on my Tactical Solutions barrel which worked pretty well at 30 feet. Oh, it still looks like I was shooting a 410 with 00 buck but it was better then free hand. I'll look into the bags and mat. What scope were you using for these 75 yard shots. Good eyes is one thing but the 3-9 scopes I've used just don't seem to reach out well, though on my Gammo Break barrel, they do well. That's the silly Gammo scope it came with.

Just using a cheap Burris scope on this it’s a basic build and does what it needs to do. I do use better kit for my competition set ups.

To know what height you bullet will be at various distances, you will need to know your distance from the center of the bore to center of your optic. This distance is very important! I suggest you use Redfield sight-in targets. The thick bars on the vertical and horizontal are used to place your rifles crosshairs on exactly the same spot. There should be bar exposed on both vertical and horizontal. You center the crosshairs in all 4 directions every shot. You can't do that shooting at a circle. Two hundred yards isn't exactly long distance but if you want some excellent accuracy and excellent bullet performance, try Federal's Terminal Ascent or even better their Swift Scirocco II loadings. The Fusion isn't bad at all, but those two are better. Prices will be relatively the same.

What happened to the 10 in. plate. Guess we just have to take your word that it was .3 in. high at 200 yards. No visual confirmation. There's nothing wrong with that platform to zero it at 200 yrds.

I zeroed my 24" ar 10 at 200 yrds, my 16" at 100 yrds. The scope on my 24", every full reticle above and below center is exactly 100 yrds, drop down 5 is exactly 700 yrds. 4" target 700 yrds all day

You should never zero a rifle unless it’s completely supported with bags or bipod and bags. Your point that it’s not a stable platform is stupid, you can fire at 200 with that rifle as much as you can with any other provided its supported. The only relevant point you could’ve made is the Remington is a more accurate platform but the goal when zeroing is to completely support the rifle to eliminate that movement as much as possible. Get a couple of sandbags. What a stupid opening monologue. Then later in the video you pull out a tripod haha yet you didn’t use it to support your rifle during zeroing. I’m shocked you have any followers, guess they’re new and don’t know you’re full of shite

I've had my Girsan MC 28 V2 for just over 2 years now, got it in time to beat the hand gun freeze here in Canada and have been very happy with it. I have found it difficult to get accurate with it as it's my first hand gun and have fitted a laser pointer to it which helps. The gun runs flawlessly with good ammo and with more practice am getting better at getting on target.

    • @OutdoorsAnonymous

I have always shot my rifles in at 50 yards when I sight them in. I look at the trajectory for the load I am going to be shooting is and based on that information I know that at 50 yds with an 80 grain bullets it needs to be just about 1/2" high. At 100 it's 2.1"high and has 5" of drop at 400 yards which is my personal limit for taking game. I've been using this method since I was 12 years old on all of my rifles and it's worked great.

Gonna depend on your rifle and set up. I run bolt guns, with -30c going for birds ie ptarmigan(northern partridge), or snowshoe hare, you won't do well at all with a ruger 10/22, it simply won't cycle without mini mag, or high velocity rounds well over 1200fps. I do a 45yard zero, as at our rimfire silhouette range it's, 45, 67, 97, and 113 yards. With a bdc reticle on either of my MK II's, it's first hashmark down with 36gr Mini Mag at 67 yards. 40 gr standard velocity loads, is that same reticle mark at 45. I just ended up finding the B.C for the chosen load and shooting it over a chrono, got an avg velocity and did a drop chart to 100 yards. With that same 45 yard zero, I've hit an 8" AR 500 plate at 330 yards with cci stingers.

This is an NFA item. It's a shotgun intended to be fired from the shoulder with a barrel less than 18". You need a tax stamp to own it in the US. But you might be good to go to in Canada, as the Turkish masterkey 12 gauge can be purchased there. The laws restricting these will be lifted within the next few years once the issues arrive at the Supreme Court.
