To me trade in Hunt is... "normal". In a sense that I'm pretty sure often, both player anticipate the shoot, peak, and shoot, for exemple. So... both player shooting same time, and with a high chance of OS, how do you want avoid trades exactly, I don't get it ? Even In a world with no delay at all, trades seems pretty normal... And YES IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH PING. Wtf Otherwise, YOU have an INSANE advantage, if bullet are cancel when yours kill ennemy on your screen. I play with 10 MS, so I should have an advantage over people with good connections but 80 ms for exemple ? I don't get your point at all, how the hell it impact you ? On tour screen you see yourself and other shoot at the same time, and both die. Again. What is the pb ?

It really says a lot about how much I disliked the trials mode when I would rather prestige 100 times to get the skins 😂

So "get one good game in with team mates, then play like a little rat and run instead of participating in the game" :-D That's the kind of audience and playstyle that Crytek nurtured. Good stuff... Enjoyable to the other people in the game, especially since many people play like this. Mmm, I wonder why this game isn't growing to crazy audience sizes...

Last night I disconnected from Hunt right at the start of a match. I tried rejoining but it just froze the game and after another reset it wouldn’t let me rejoin. I lost a level 50 Hunter with Deathcheat and 2x Rampage. Games buggy

The fact that companies sell their games in regions where they do not have a dedicated server is really disappointing.I bought the game and my nearest server shows average of 116 ms ping on this game and now as you explained it i think the game isnt made for me and have to return to another game with dedicated servers ig.

I just got into the game and I hate trades. It makes 0 sense to me, honestly makes me want to quit it.

What can I say about this topic ? I uninstalled the game after a total of about 3.8k hours and I'm not going back as long as these things like high ping players and trades are still a thing ) It's just waste of time for me at this point trying to enjoy this game anymore ) And revive bolts are another topic but sadly they gonna for sure add it to normal game after event

Due to high ping players and CHEATERS our experience on EU servers is so bad and gets worse with each update. We're playing on 10-20ms EU and get fked left and right from russian / asia players. We often have trade windows in the couple of seconds up to ~ 5 where we die even tho the other play is LONG gone client side from both of us. Can only hope they change something soon.. the game gets more unplayable each update

I started playing the bow bc I thought it’s just fun and is good for disrespecting people, but when I got a hang of it I realized that it’s the most useful pve tool of all and a really strong pvp weapon too. Now it’s part of my default loadout for a long time and probably my most used tool/weapon in the game

Lol, prestige. Happy to actually get into a round to play for a little bit. Level 4 and people quit the lobby when paired with a low level.

Prestige twice to get the 10% bonus so your 1k reward rolls over faster and then never do it again.

This dude speaking about "high ping" players and goes into extremes of people who have a bad connection but like in most situations it's gonna be 10 ms guy vs 50_60 ms guy which is not a "bad connection" but if they both shot at the same time then why tf would 10 ms guy win 100% of the time? It doesn't even need to be t the same time it can be milli seconds later that the 10 ms guy shoots and he would win most of the time... what he actually wants to happen (and what he is actually saying) is that he doesn't give a fuck about the ping difference and poor entitled guy wants his ping crutch back 😢😢 I'm not saying trades are the solution but what I'm saying is that the newer system is much more fair yes it is by no means worse.. Maybe because he doesn't have his crutch anymore so he starting to realize he actually sucks but the way that he sounded like an entitled brat at the end annoyed me.. Since he is talking about an extreme and he doesn't realize that most fights happen between 10-100 ms ranges so everyone should have a chance

I get the bullet trade from a distance but when I am close range and shoot someone and there shot goes after to me don't make sense I've died plenty times like that.

Great video. I never knew devs view trades as a win. This confirms once again that they are mediocre gamers who rarely play their own game. When you play this game 2-3 hours daily and get at least 2-5 trades a day, it adds up to over 100 trades every month. If you would experience this amount of paon as a dev, you'd quickly realize that the trade window needs to be narrowed. To be fair, I lost hope. Every patch adds new bugs without fixing old ones. They introduce new wild mechanics or balance changes just for the sake of adding 'new content'. Where is the old game I fell in love with? Because this feels like I am playing a parody of Hunt - Hunt ClownDown. We are hostages to the devs' decisions because the UI update showed us they don't really care about player feedback. Reddit was full of posts with hundreds of upvotes saying the new UI looks terrible... But the monarch said he wants a UI similar to Call of Duty, and he got it. Btw I watched another video today called 'Why I stopped playing Hunt: Showdown' from SlyJhon, and it's baffling that the issues he described in 2021! are still present today, with a bunch of new issues sprinkled on top.

I guess I'm bad, partly because I have been playing for like a week, but I have only managed to get one hunter to lvl 50, and max kills I've gotten in a game is 3. Trying to achievement hunt and get 5 hunters to lvl 50 but it's hard lol

Basically they allow dead players to still shoot even tho there actually dead catering to bad ping.

This is a great video until the ~28 minute mark where the wild ranting starts. I would have left that out as it does not really add anything to the content, more so takes away from it. The explanation and visualization of things was well done and articulated.

dude i was playing while seeding one day and i kid you not i thought my shots were more accurate. and i actually tried it again and it seemed the same. now it makes sense

This explains why when I have gotten into full cover and suddenly drop dead. Had many cases where I killed a player and a huge delay later I get shot by a dead player. So many times where I get killed by a player that isn't even visible, not wall banging, just not a single frame that they show up on video Also why trades happen so often. I don't have high ping at all

In EVERY SINGLE DAY i try to play Hunt i know for a fact that i'm gonna trade at least once (100%) there is not a single day without a trade.. and when i'm playing alone, if the first game ends for me in a trade, i stop playing for the rest of the day.

And I've never seen them claim it's a real competitive game, not that it excuses anything.

Hand crossbow will be required to be in your kit and if you get downed someone could grab it off your body and use it to revive their own team mate from a distance. There is risk in bringing this in a different way.

I recently started playing this game again after purchasing it during its beta phasing and this game is by far one of my favorite games in this type of genre in general. Some of these changes definitely seem very strange to me especially coming from somebody that primarily plays as a solo it's hard enough to kill people whenever they revive multiple times against one player against three does seem very odd that they've made it a little easier for teams to revive one another. The one thing that I will say I kind of like the new game mode that's coming in just so I can get more actual practice against other players definitely have a hard time learning the guns when sometimes like you've said you barely see anybody sometimes just due to the fact that things are so spread out occasionally on certain maps and then whenever I do get into gun fights I'm kind of lost because maybe over my 60 hours I may have had 40 actual gun fights that kind of went back and forth when I didn't get just absolutely destroyed immediately and shot from 100 yards 200 yards away

Very sensible reaction. Calms me down a bit to know you share some of my concerns and I'm not just in an echo chamber filled with rage kids and redditers but there is reasonable people realizing Crytek's contradictory behavior of late.

Keep in mind it’s a event they can take away revive bolts if ppl don’t want it that bad etc. enjoy the fact that crytek doesn’t suck and disappoint like every other game right now I was not even expecting a holiday event keep this interesting like this I will keep playing👍

the revive bolt is silly... it should be only 1 bolt. not more, maybe 2. the shorty crown is gonna be used by everyone if its not balanced. Some changes i dont understand AT ALL. what are they thinking?
