When I read Michael Azerrad's book (the original version, not the "amplified" reissue), I tracked down every single and compilation Kurt and the guys were on (that I didn't yet have) including "The Priest They Called Him" with William S. Burroughs from Tim Kerr. And this, via mail order from Sub Pop. And Dave's two albums with Scream from Discord. In fact, I ended up buying a few more Tim Kerr and Discord releases that year because they sent handwritten thank you notes with the order.

I’ve known bowery electric for a while but one memory that sticks out to me most is leaving school early one day taking some shrooms with my friends taking the metro downtown and just having black light on repeat over and over it was a gloomy day and zilker looked beautiful we then went to this hole in the wall cafe and met this lovely women who treated us so nicely as we were peaking in the cafe…We’ve all since moved away and I miss Austin and my friends everyday

when this came out i put it beside Lifeforms by FSOL and SAW2 by Aphex Twin and I didn't rate this (I also had a Commodore Amiga so i knew what cruddy 8 bit strings sounded like) but it has aged really well like 808 State United State 90 ---> props Moby xx

Have been listening to punk and offshoots of punk from 1976. Am pretty well versed especially the older stuff. Have never heard this band or of them . Unbelievably good.
