Try comparing it to the new Flexovit UTG or MAXX3 grinding in Zirconia and Ceramic which is way different to the std mild steel metal grinding. Comparing a v6 to a v8 in the vid, you should try it plus runs cooler rather than heating up the metal Blueing like this on here

… trying to figure out the order the spacers go in, I’ve removed both spacers in an attempt to install a blade on a new tool, one has a circular hole the other is square with radius ends… there’re no videos that show the complete assembly 😢

A wet dry vacuum will have a smaller intake than a straight dry vacuum generally. You can see this on any steam cleaner. This is to provide more static lift for lifting water out. A more detailed comparison might of have been a static lift in “inches of water” vs the dry only which may or may not show the capabilities of each tool.

My blade still doesn't spin

I had the Makita DTD148 then I purchased the newer model DTD171 but it's not as quick at driving. Someone please explain why because the DTD171 was supposed to be a newer/better replacement to DTD148.

You should have removed the bottom washer below the blade to show what should have stayed in place. Especially because the saw arrives with no blade already in place se we have no reference. Thanks

This had absolutely no issue removing or reinstalling the lug nuts and it took off the axle nut without any struggle. Sounds like it's got some muscle to it. Time will tell

Just took 20 years off the life of the shed...

has anyone had issues with it not cutting? Where the wheels spin but blade just never starts cutting through the material, it just "scratches it"

the bolt is RIGHT HAND conventional thread, left to loosen, on my M18 model 2631-20. I nearly ruined the key attempting to loosen by torque to the right to loosen. Maybe different models have different thread, caution!

I cant see the hole in the blade. My brand new saw has a brass ring inside that seems too small for the arbor.

This is a really bad test! a normal grinding wheel against a ceramic fiber wheel. Even a normal VSM wheel would be better. Here, completely different discs are compared. Of course, 3M Cubitrion 2 mateial is at an advantage. In the meantime, however, there are cheaper alternatives to the Cubitron that work at least as well.

Wouldn't it be quicker and more definitive, to undo the nuts with the torque wrench and see where you had to go in NM to start the unfasten process, therefor seeing the NM achieved on the fastening, by the Makita??

Fan of both tools but the test was not fair. Bolts or nuts should be install with a torque wrench set at same specks then removed with each tool. The Hitachi broke the bolts initially, not a fair test.

Why would take off the same wheel. The milwaukee got the kids test. They ate not as good as the hype. I would definitely take the hitachi over the milwaukee based on that video alone. Worthless demo

Holy cr@p that is decisive!! Time to throw out all my Flexovit discs and replace them with the 3M product. Which is strange, because all my sanding discs are 3M Cubitron, never thought about the grinding discs!
