Weeping Spring-Cover up- Branson 5520 BL200 *Spectra hv101 level*
Hello all today i am tackling the next issue and that is a weeping spring about 20 ft from the back door. My plan is to cover with rock and then get some dirt and cover over it. Not sure if it will work but ill see. I am taking most of the rock from a foundation wall that used to support a barn over 100 years old. I take a closer look at the spectra hv101 and make sure that the pad for our shed if level .Then i gotta get the branson 5520 out to fill in some holes in the front that i made the day before. Wouldnt it make more sense to use the holes to make the toplink as parallel as possible to the lift arms, so you implement travels without tilting forwards or backwards through its motion? Then use the toplink length to adjust tilt? Itll keep same tilt through whole lift/lower, IF toplink is parallel to lift arms.

    I have a 3032 E John Deer I use it mainly for my arena drag for a horse arena. I have no knowledge of the proper way the 3 point hitch should work and just learned about the three holes.. Thank you! Now to my question .... The toppling twists, my arena drag is a lot lower in the back than I remember it to be. The area of the top point seems too long but I do not know if shortening the top point will fix the low tilt of my arena drag. PLEASE HELP :)

    I have a 5520R that has 300 hours on it. On mine you do not need to take off the air cleaner housing - just unsnap the 3 cover clips and you can pull the air filters out to blow them clean and wipe out the interior. I suspect the same condition exists for your tractor. I have never seen anyone put oil in an oil filter before installing and I don't do it either. Just oil on the gasket before installing. The Branson dealer parts guy said I could change the transmission filter without draining the hydraulic oil at 50 hours (he said that is what the dealer does). I tried that - big mistake. With the backhoe frame (on mine) the transmission filter access is tight and you get bathed in the oil trying to swap the filter. Just drain and change the hydraulic fluid like the manual says is what I learned!

    Your advice is exactly opposite of what Tractor Mike says in his video. He says the top two holes are for implements that need downward pressure- box blades, plow etc. The bottom hole is the least aggresive and is used where down pressure isn't required, like for brush hogs and mowers that are supported by the bottom links and their rear wheel. WTF?????

    • @ClinchRiverHomestead
      @ClinchRiverHomestead 2 года назад

      Everyone has specific needs and the grapple is great but I find myself going for the forks before the grapple they each have their own pros and cons. Someone on a budget the forks can get you pretty far . For a saw mill where you need more precision of placing logs yes the grapple is probably best. For a more all around tool the forks are a great choice as you can do a lot more with them that a grapple can't do. Thanks for the comment

    I just bought a Branson 5520ch for my hobby farm last spring. Ive got 50 hours on it, bucket, grapple, and snowblower (canada). Its been great. It's so much easier to use than than any of my previous mid size tractors. Im really looking forward to blowing snow with it. I will probably buy a backhoe next summer, as I want to to dig some drainage, and a root cellar. Instead of buying a counterweight box, I just welded one myself. Its a farm tractor, not a matching outfit. I also have an old box blade and hay cutters. For a couple with 130 acres, it's been the absolutely perfect tractor. I have a 25hp Bobcat tractor for lawn work, hauling water, etc that my wife can blow snow and work with whem im gone as well (im a pilot), but for larger jobs, the Branson is exactly what I wanted. It's been amazing for my sawmill. It's the perfect size. Spent the summer milling lumber to build a new barn next spring.
