Thanks for sharing your family vacay video. It was so helpful and of course fun to watch 😊. I'm trying to decide which Nickelodeon resort to go to first - Mex or DR? 🤔. So far, the DR has the beach ⛱️ locked down...but does the Nick resort in MEX have any excursions offering transportation to a nearby swimmable beach since the one near isn’t? I really love 😍 the idea of plunge pools outside of every room, but other reviews i came across complain of cold water? Also, I notice that this "standard" room is an upgrade at the DR resort. Also how deep is it, and what are the standard public pool hours. I read that the Nick DR resort pools and waterpark shuts down at 5pm - is that the case in MEX? What other CON'S or BEWARE messages that didn't make it in your videos. TIA

@perfectmisadventures I am planning a trip to hotel xcaret and have a family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids ages 5,8,10 I saw the other comments that you had other family members go with you but it will only be us so you think the resort will allow us to stay in one room? As you stated some rooms have a double beds a sofa couch which is a lot of space for small children.

Nickelodeon Resort Riviera Maya: Dangerous situation, please read before you go: Bathroom door shattered completely in the middle of the night and the hotel claimed no responsibility. A very bad accident could have happened. The pieces of glass went far and the hotel member told me this is not the first time this happened. There is a big risk that a bad injury can occur, I would never take a chance again. On the last evening of our trip on Feb 9th, 2024 the main bathroom door shattered out of nowhere. The pieces of glass went as far as the balcony. It sounded like and explosion. I woke screaming and scared thinking something happened to my kids. The evening management showed up. We moved rooms to a downgrade in the 3rd floor as I paid for an expensive 1st floor room). I wanted to moved hotels or return home but the flight change was expensive and the hotel was not going to pay for my family to stay somewhere else. The sad part is that this is not the first time this happened, the evening management told me. It appears to be an engineering or material issue. I was not able to sleep and I am now sensitive to loud noises. My daughter was walking around the area of the “explosion”’a few minutes before this happened, which could have result in a very serious injury that I don’t want to even imagine. The next day as I was leaving, the morning management informed me that this happens and they were not responsible for it and if I wanted to make a complaint, to please right to customer service. I said, I need at the minimum a refund for the rooms downgrade and the extreme inconvenience of having to pack and move to another room at 1 AM. They said: sorry, nothing we can do about it. I have emailed customer service twice and all they have said is that they are reviewing the case. Two weeks later I have no answer. It is my responsibility to let other guest know of the danger of this bathroom doors and if they still decide to go, to at least be aware of it and ask management to check them and ensure an issue like this which can result in a unfortunate injury ( that by the way have to be handled in another country as most people come from other places than Mexico) for themselves or their loved ones. How old were your kids at the time? I'm planning on bringing our kids who will be 2 & 4. I see Xavage park won't work for kids under 5. Would the parks you went be allowed for our kids?

Look not hating on the one in Mexico but they are trying to sell a week long room for me and my dad for $10000. And we have a membership thats 50% off so $5000 so dumb so we have to go to the one in Dominican republic and we went to Mexico before and liked so much and we checked prices recently and saw that but its ok we're just a bit mad at it.
