🤣 I agree, my wife and I were here last year and it’s hands down the best so far. Wish we took our kids though. We skipped on a few excursions not enough time. We hardly stayed in the hotel.

This is a great video! I was nervous about taking my kids because I couldn't find too many xcaret videos with families but this makes me feel a lot better! We will be visiting for the first time this coming June!! Super excited!
Heidi, ohhhh the treat you are in for! I went there just over Thanksgiving 7 days with my family and it all went great. Everything he states in the video is true and you have to see in person the extra mile the staff goes. You don’t have to worry about ANYTHING. You don’t even need to take a towel with you to the pool, they have carts of towels everywhere. Get in there, get lost from reality for a few days enjoying life and come back just relaxed, refreshed, and ready to get back to work. Don’t worry about Covid either! There were a couple areas where there was little to no social distancing but get this, 5 of us went, ZERO got COVID-19 after being tested. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy lounging by the main pool, with my family, eating burgers and marquesitas while a band comes out of nowhere and puts on a great performance. Have fun!

Agree! We have been to several other resorts (check out our other videos) and although still fantastic in there own way, none of them quite live up to our vacation at Hotel Xcaret.

Our vacation was over Christmas this past December and we can't wait to go back! There were some improvements being made to Xplor while we were there, so I imagine things are only getting better! We hope you have a great trip!

A couple of questions, please. Are life jackets required in all water activities and pools? How deep are pools/rivers around the hotel and specifically the river swimming at Xcaret Park? I'm really just asking if they are too deep to stand in for an average 5'8' person. Oh, and are there fish in the river around the hotel? Is it sea water or fresh water?
So you cannot stand on the river swim. It is fairly deep. Even in life jackets, the best swimmers in our group got tired. Its a long 45 min swim. I doubt they will even let you try to go without a life jacket if you tried. The main pool with the bar, you are able to walk across as an adult. The rivers become deep, but you can stay near the shore and you will be fine. Lastly, there are fish in the lagoons and rivers. The water is salt water, it comes from the ocean. We hope you get to go.

This was in 2019 December, so our kids were 4,5, and 7. You can do many things with a three year old, however there are also many things you cannot do because of age and height requirements. I would wait till she is 6 if you want to do Everything

Hello there, so I'm booking this exact trip for my family of 6. Our quote came out to about as much as yours, 7k for 4 nights. Now, my question is, does this include meals and drinks? Like, the swim up bar, the fancy restaurants, the beautiful breakfast you guys had, or is that separately? I'm planning this with patience so as to do it carefully lol. Any info would be appreciated. EVERYTHING is included, except dinner at two restaurants and breakfast on Sunday at a special location in the church. All drinks, all the remaining restaurants, all the excursions, everything else is included. Please feel free to ask us any other questions. We truly loved this hotel.
Our stay was only 4 days as well and we feel like we made the best of our time in Mexico. Our strategy was to wake up early, have a great breakfast, and then get to the parks as they opened. We were often back to the hotel for a late lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Our only regret is we wish we had more time to explore the resort. Thanks for watching!!

Your kids will have such an incredible time. Most of our video was shot on a GoPro Hero 7 Black, a Canon M200, or iPhone 10. The GoPro was most convenient due to its compact size and being waterproof . Don't forget to purchase extra batteries and an assortment of mounts.
If you had the option to do this trip again tomorrow....would you go with the kids or just as a couple? My wife and I are debating to go as an adults only trip (30's age) or to take our 2 boys who are 5 and 6 years old. We are really on the fence. We fear the kids would keep us from being able to really do a lot of things offered. Do they have a kids club where you can check the kids in for half a day? Thank you for your feedback
We wouldn't hesitate to take the kids again. Ours were 4, 5, & 7 at the time of the video and short of earlier bedtimes, we never felt like they were holding us back. As long as your boys are adventure seekers, they should have a blast! We never used the kids club, but I understand it to be a great option and give you a chance to feel like adults. Happy traveling!

Hello and thanks for watching. We have been to several other resorts in Cancun which accommodated our family of five. Unfortunately, at Hotel Xcarat will only accommodate four to a room. For our visit, one of our kids stayed with their Grandma in an adjoining room.
Kids 5 and under are free at this resort and you can call and they will let you put an extra kid in your room if they are 5 and under. 6 and up you’d have to get an extra room or Invite grandparents and have one of your kids stay with them.
How old were your kids at the time? I'm planning on bringing our kids who will be 2 & 4. I see Xavage park won't work for kids under 5. Would the parks you went be allowed for our kids?
@perfectmisadventures I am planning a trip to hotel xcaret and have a family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids ages 5,8,10 I saw the other comments that you had other family members go with you but it will only be us so you think the resort will allow us to stay in one room? As you stated some rooms have a double beds a sofa couch which is a lot of space for small children.
We stayed at Hotel Xcaret twice, not Arte. From what we can tell many couples stay at Arte and more families stay at HX. However when you stay at Arte you have full access to all the amenities at Hotel Xcaret
We have ben to Mexico all times of the year. Our favorite are fall and winter, however there really isn't a bad time to go. The temperatures do not fluctuate to much, what does is the humidity. It seems like there are two confirmed cases in Mexico city. I would take precautions such as thorough hand washing and making sure to not touch your face. The scariest part for our family are the plane rides, but you cannot live in fear.
They allowed you to book 5 in a room? We are considering going but they only allow 4 people max and we are family of 5. Our kids are too young to get a second room. This is my dream resort.
No they are very strict on max of 4 to a room, even though the rooms can comfortable sleep 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children. We have a grandma that goes with us so we have one child booked in that room, but we stay a family of five in one room. If that makes sense

We toured the kid's club and it looked amazing. The staff were welcoming and the activities looked fun, however we did not use the kid's club this time.

There are many things to do with a 3 year old, however there are many things they cannot do as well. If you have an adult who will sit out with the 3 year old while everyone else does the activities that is the only way it will work. We had to do this with certain things, as three of the kids were under the height requirement when we went
We visited Moon Palace many years ago and loved it. The new Grand Moon Palace is definitely on our "must visit" list. Do you have any other resorts you would recommend?
RUclips has made it very difficult for creators. We were forced to use their small library of music in fear of being challenged for copyright infringement. I hope to purchase the rights for more authentic videos in the future, but as this is a hobby and I am not compensated for the work, I chose to use the music that RUclips has made available for free.
Our stay was only four nights. We definitely tried to enjoy all the hotel had to offer and stayed pretty busy. A couple days longer would have made this the perfect trip.
There are all sorts of deals and discounts available. The price depends on how many people are going, their ages, and what type of view you would like from your room. We also have a travel agency and would love to help you find a great price
The video was taken at the resort in the Riviera Maya, near Playa Del Carmen. I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that this was the only resort owned by Grupo Xcaret, but there are plans to open two more resorts in the near future.
Worried about safety. Does anyone know if it's dangerous? I know you are in a guarded resort but what about the transportation from airport to resort? I heard of kidnappings

@@MrTagalish Totally understand. potty breaks call when its seems there are none around. If you all choose to do the river swim take note that it is about 45 min and can be a lot for liitle kiddos. Our youngest did it when he just turned 4 when we did it and he made it, but got a tired. There is also a place halfway through the swim that you can get out and go potty if you need to.
Is everything absolutely included or were there any other additional charges? Are all the food stands there included or are they available for purchase?
The only time we touched our wallets was to tip the amazing staff (they work so hard) and to purchase the photo package. Everything else in the video was included with the purchase of the stay.
Our youngest was 4 when the video was taken. He is a pretty good swimmer, but still needed some assistance. Everyone wears life jackets so safety won't be an issue, but the swim can get long, especially for the little ones.
Thanks for the feedback. The trip was about $7200, but all meals, drinks, and excursions were included in the price. A bit more expensive than other resorts, but short of tips and a photo package, we never touched our wallets once we were there.

A couple of questions, please. Are life jackets required in all water activities and pools? How deep are pools/rivers around the hotel and specifically the river swimming at Xcaret Park? I'm really just asking if they are too deep to stand in for an average 5'8' person. Oh, and are there fish in the river around the hotel? Is it sea water or fresh water?
So you cannot stand on the river swim. It is fairly deep. Even in life jackets, the best swimmers in our group got tired. Its a long 45 min swim. I doubt they will even let you try to go without a life jacket if you tried.
The main pool with the bar, you are able to walk across as an adult. The rivers become deep, but you can stay near the shore and you will be fine.
Lastly, there are fish in the lagoons and rivers. The water is salt water, it comes from the ocean. We hope you get to go.

This was in 2019 December, so our kids were 4,5, and 7. You can do many things with a three year old, however there are also many things you cannot do because of age and height requirements. I would wait till she is 6 if you want to do Everything

Hello there, so I'm booking this exact trip for my family of 6. Our quote came out to about as much as yours, 7k for 4 nights. Now, my question is, does this include meals and drinks? Like, the swim up bar, the fancy restaurants, the beautiful breakfast you guys had, or is that separately? I'm planning this with patience so as to do it carefully lol. Any info would be appreciated. EVERYTHING is included, except dinner at two restaurants and breakfast on Sunday at a special location in the church.
All drinks, all the remaining restaurants, all the excursions, everything else is included. Please feel free to ask us any other questions. We truly loved this hotel.

Our stay was only 4 days as well and we feel like we made the best of our time in Mexico. Our strategy was to wake up early, have a great breakfast, and then get to the parks as they opened. We were often back to the hotel for a late lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Our only regret is we wish we had more time to explore the resort. Thanks for watching!!

I'd love to take my kids here....wht type of camera did you use? Was it water-proof?
Your kids will have such an incredible time. Most of our video was shot on a GoPro Hero 7 Black, a Canon M200, or iPhone 10. The GoPro was most convenient due to its compact size and being waterproof . Don't forget to purchase extra batteries and an assortment of mounts.

If you had the option to do this trip again tomorrow....would you go with the kids or just as a couple? My wife and I are debating to go as an adults only trip (30's age) or to take our 2 boys who are 5 and 6 years old. We are really on the fence. We fear the kids would keep us from being able to really do a lot of things offered. Do they have a kids club where you can check the kids in for half a day? Thank you for your feedback
We wouldn't hesitate to take the kids again. Ours were 4, 5, & 7 at the time of the video and short of earlier bedtimes, we never felt like they were holding us back. As long as your boys are adventure seekers, they should have a blast! We never used the kids club, but I understand it to be a great option and give you a chance to feel like adults. Happy traveling!

You will love everything about the resort. The architects did a wonderful job designed the resort to be incorporated with nature. How was the Disney resort? We hear they are also amazing!
@@PerfectMisadventures yes it was wonderful not very new for me cuz Im from Puerto Rico and they had a pool designed of el morro and they had different villages I stayed in jamaica and stuff its a wonderful expirience also they have activities to do daily for kids greetings from Puerto Rico🇵🇷✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿❤also recomend visiting Puerto Rico and staying in San Juan hyatt place its very awsome and the beaches are gorgeous
@@julianrivera9040 We went as a couple to Puerto Rico in 2010 and had an absolute blast. We loved exploring the rainforest and El Morro was just breathtaking. We would love to take our children back soon and show them the beauty of the island

Hello and thanks for watching. We have been to several other resorts in Cancun which accommodated our family of five. Unfortunately, at Hotel Xcarat will only accommodate four to a room. For our visit, one of our kids stayed with their Grandma in an adjoining room.
Kids 5 and under are free at this resort and you can call and they will let you put an extra kid in your room if they are 5 and under. 6 and up you’d have to get an extra room or Invite grandparents and have one of your kids stay with them.
How old were your kids at the time? I'm planning on bringing our kids who will be 2 & 4. I see Xavage park won't work for kids under 5. Would the parks you went be allowed for our kids?

@perfectmisadventures I am planning a trip to hotel xcaret and have a family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids ages 5,8,10 I saw the other comments that you had other family members go with you but it will only be us so you think the resort will allow us to stay in one room? As you stated some rooms have a double beds a sofa couch which is a lot of space for small children.

yes there is a 4 person limit, we traveled with grandma and one kid was booked in her room and stayed with us
We have two kids 22 and 21 thinking of booking HXA because they are older. Are there a lot of honeymoon couples or are there families with older kids?
We stayed at Hotel Xcaret twice, not Arte. From what we can tell many couples stay at Arte and more families stay at HX. However when you stay at Arte you have full access to all the amenities at Hotel Xcaret

We have ben to Mexico all times of the year. Our favorite are fall and winter, however there really isn't a bad time to go. The temperatures do not fluctuate to much, what does is the humidity. Hello neighbor! We booked our trip through Costco and found their rates and service to be exceptional (probably the only way we will ever book another vacation). It seems like there are two confirmed cases in Mexico city. I would take precautions such as thorough hand washing and making sure to not touch your face. The scariest part for our family are the plane rides, but you cannot live in fear.
They allowed you to book 5 in a room? We are considering going but they only allow 4 people max and we are family of 5. Our kids are too young to get a second room. This is my dream resort.
No they are very strict on max of 4 to a room, even though the rooms can comfortable sleep 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children. We have a grandma that goes with us so we have one child booked in that room, but we stay a family of five in one room. If that makes sense
Hi! How old was your youngest one at the time at Xcaret? Does he have any limit at ziplines and other activities. My son is 3ft 6 inch( 42 inch and weight 50) I wish he can join us all the rides. Would you please advise? Thanks

There is a max of 4 per room, sometimes having three kids can be a pain when booking rooms, especially at XCARET

We toured the kid's club and it looked amazing. The staff were welcoming and the activities looked fun, however we did not use the kid's club this time.

There are many things to do with a 3 year old, however there are many things they cannot do as well. If you have an adult who will sit out with the 3 year old while everyone else does the activities that is the only way it will work. We had to do this with certain things, as three of the kids were under the height requirement when we went
What other parts of the Rivieran Maya have you visited?
We visited Moon Palace many years ago and loved it. The new Grand Moon Palace is definitely on our "must visit" list. Do you have any other resorts you would recommend?

Such a perfect time to go, its not too hot and the humidity is so much better than August

Our stay was only four nights. We definitely tried to enjoy all the hotel had to offer and stayed pretty busy. A couple days longer would have made this the perfect trip.

The video was taken at the resort in the Riviera Maya, near Playa Del Carmen. I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that this was the only resort owned by Grupo Xcaret, but there are plans to open two more resorts in the near future.

Worried about safety. Does anyone know if it's dangerous? I know you are in a guarded resort but what about the transportation from airport to resort? I heard of kidnappings

@@MrTagalish Totally understand. potty breaks call when its seems there are none around. If you all choose to do the river swim take note that it is about 45 min and can be a lot for liitle kiddos. Our youngest did it when he just turned 4 when we did it and he made it, but got a tired. There is also a place halfway through the swim that you can get out and go potty if you need to.
Is everything absolutely included or were there any other additional charges? Are all the food stands there included or are they available for purchase?
The only time we touched our wallets was to tip the amazing staff (they work so hard) and to purchase the photo package. Everything else in the video was included with the purchase of the stay.

Our youngest was 4 when the video was taken. He is a pretty good swimmer, but still needed some assistance. Everyone wears life jackets so safety won't be an issue, but the swim can get long, especially for the little ones.

Thanks for the feedback. The trip was about $7200, but all meals, drinks, and excursions were included in the price. A bit more expensive than other resorts, but short of tips and a photo package, we never touched our wallets once we were there.
