Solid episode! Here is my takes. Adamson - Develop OJ Ojarikre's offensive skillset and make him a more all-around player ADMU - Recruit more tall and good bigs and let them develop. DLSU - Keep on recruiting players kahit stacked na ang lineup so everyone knows all of the players will fight for a spot. Also tutukan din si Henry Agunnane especially we see him develop his offensive skillset even further kasi may flashes naman sya, defense is there for him pero if mas ma develop ang offense nya he'll be a good all-around big. FEU - Convince the graduating players of the FEU Baby Tamaraws to commit to the seniors. Pag maganda ang ipapakita nila panigurado they'll have offers left and right from other schools.

For UE, I hope they hire either Coach Eric or Coach Ariel because they're teaching coaches and has a big emphasis on fundamentals of the game. Coach Frankie is also a good choice kasi disciplinarian ang approach nya. But whoever coaches UE, let's hope that he fixes the mess the UE management has right now and completely change the culture of the whole program. And sana din ma involve nila ang Juniors program. Coach Jack may deserve blame for what he's done last season but the bigger problem is how the UE sports program (not just basketball) is badly mismanaged and for who will be the next coach, he has a big challenge of him. Rumors suggest Coach Boycie Zamar is a frontrunner and for me, just make a program director and be in charge of the hiring of a new coach as well as recruiting. For Andy, I do hope he considers D1 ball since aminin natin, mas mataas ang level of competition dun. Pero solid choice parin pag nag UP sya at least may mins sya dun compared sa D1 di natin sigurado kung may mins sya depende kung saang school sya mag commit. Coach Jack definitely deserves the lions share of the blame for the collapse pero UE's mismanagement of its sports programs for years/decades should be equally blamed not just this season, Hell just look at what's happening with the women's volleyball team, the coach resigned before uaap season starts due to a difference in direction in building a grassroots program (and this a SGA backed team na ah) pero the news inside is UE management doesn't want to shell out funds for scholarships for a HS program since UE decided not to field a juniors volleyball team since the pandemic. Its a sad state all around. the earlier they realize na iba na galawan sa UAAP walang pagbabago kahit sino pang coach yan imo - Lim & Altamirano had active backers/alumni with MVP and SM, will it be the same results if tanduay stays as the main backer?. Zamar meh been there done that, Vanguardia - will he be able to translate into the college game. I'm intrigued by Buendia since he is on the younger side and might have a different view on the game.

Correction re: Coach Frankie. Coach Frankie has been in the college scene naman recently, last 2019 for Perps. He has transformed Perps rin to be a contender despite limited money, napandemic lang. For me, I think it's Coach Frankie and Coach E. If now and future, it's Coach Frankie and Coach E. Coach Frankie knows how to handle FSAs, and make them a beast (check Ola, etc.).

Sam's team will be waiting in the finals. Semis will be Maui's team (twice to beat) vs Gab's. The G-Team will take game 1 semis with QMB freethrows. M-Team wins game 2 via Francis Lopez three or dunk but somebody will be suspended for the first game of the finals. S-Team will win Game 1 finals because of Motor Mike . M-Team will win Game 2 after consecutive 3 point shots from KQ. JD (or Jorick) will win Game 3 through a buzzer beater. Happy New Year Boleros!

I was choosing between Maui and Gab's team, but I'll go with Gab's because I think J-House (and mostly any other PG would also for that matter) had a really hard time without spacing, weapons, and a rim threat. I feel like he and QMB are underrated and are great as the offensive engine and defensive anchor, respectively. Also has some nice shooters and then Tounkara as a versatile forward is tuff, though Maui does have the Tounkara stopper in Lopez. 🤔

Gab: I agree that Coach Tab is a great in-game tactician, but coaching in the UAAP encompasses the whole program itself; recruitment, player development, and actual game preparation and implementation. The recent history of Coach Tab shows that he is lacking in the first two. Until season 85, Ateneo was able to take advantage of the championship calibre talent of their high school players who transitioned to their college program. But when that went dry and Coach Tab was forced to recruit or develop the remaining players, the results has been a fourth place and eight place finish. Sure, he makes the best of his available talent; but Coach Nash and Coach Jeff produce similar results. If Ateneo does not get to the Final Four next season, he will surely be gone from the program.
