I probably wouldn't mind this song so much if it were mostly like its second half. Once you hit 1:13 and until it loops, I love it. The mix of the piano and dubstep sound works well imo, but when its just relying on the dubstep it falls off for me.

Id argue shadows battle actually holds stakes just as high as Sonics considering how if shadow didn’t stop black doom they’d give another attempt to take over the world and not mentioning how in most scenarios shadow would likely lose control of himself if he lost and if shadow just didn’t try? Shadow generations proves there's a place for 2d modern gameplay if it done right and separated from the 3d. They should make a modern 2d mobile game

Since Robbie Daymond voices BOTH Mephiles AND Akechi, I’d imagine a Phase 2 for his DLC boss fight in Strikers going like: Akechi: **laughing maniacally** “You may have survived last time Joker, but DON’T THINK YOU’VE WON JUST YET!” **Akechi sends out a wave of berserk shadows at Joker before Sumire aka Violet cuts down an entire wave of shadows to protect Joker.** Akechi: “Well, well, well. Yoshizawa-san, I didn’t think you of ALL people had the GUTS to intervene like that.” Violet: “Joker-senpai is someone very special to me and I WON’T let you take him away! Any one tried to guess what level this was going to be when they arrived at this hub location? I honestly didn't know what Sunset Heights sounded like, so I at first thought it reminded of Network Terminal part in Sonic Forces. I really do like both versions. And design wise, Shadow Generations nailed it. My gripe is that I would like to see a bit more of the level after the Radical Highway portion.

Having Mephiles being voiced by Robbie Daymond makes me imagine if there was a secret DLC boss fight with Black Mask Akechi in Persona 5 Strikers with a level pack including Sumire as a playable DLC party member. Akechi to Joker: “Long time no see Joker…. Now…..LET’S FINISH WHAT WE STARTED!” Futaba: “What the hell?! Akechi?! But I thought he-“ Ryuji: “I thought after the Maruki incident that Akechi just disappeared!” Yusuke: “It appears that Akechi did in fact survive after we defeated Maruki.” Makoto: “But that still doesn’t explain how he followed us into the jail like if we didn’t notice him!” Sumire: “And what does Akechi-san mean by ‘finishing what they started’ with Joker-senpai?!” Ann: “That blood shot look he’s giving Joker brings back certain memories, and NONE of the good ones…” Zenkichi: “What the hell are all of you talking about?!” Haru: “Well, since he’s chosen to be our enemy again now…… why don’t we…..cut off this last loose end?” Sophia: “Noir’s anger has risen significantly after the appearance of this ‘Akechi’ person!” Morgana: “Be careful Joker! Akechi doesn’t look like he’s messing around this time. Whatever you have to do, just don’t lose!” Sumire: “Please don’t lose Joker-senpai! I believe in you!” Joker: “Hmph, well ‘Akechi’, if you *ARE* the real deal….. We’ll just settle our promise right here….. RIGHT NOW!” **The boss fight would be a 1v1 style fight with Joker and Akechi in a circular arena similar to the Akane’s Joker fight, but the second phase would be a 2v1 + an infinite shadow horde** (If Strikers had Sumire as a DLC character to the main playable roster, I’d imagine she’d be important to the DLC Jail and when Akechi went to Phase 2 of his boss fight in said DLC Jail dungeon by making the surrounding Shadows berserk like how Mephiles here creates his clones, then Sumire would step in to take out a wave of shadows to fight alongside Joker as his backup for the second phase like how Omega was for Shadow in his fight with Mephiles in 06)

You know what's crazy? I didn't really paid much attention to the original Movement songs from Chaos Island in Sonic Frontiers but since playing the Shadow Generations version of Chaos Island, I've been listening to the remix a lot lately.

I was born in 2005 the same year shadow got his own solo game. I feel like he and I are both linked in a strange way

I hope they'll actually make a full song with this remix. I'd love to hear it.

I was worried about the act 2 stages being boring like the 2D segments in Sonic Forces, But I was blown away. First time the 2D version of the level was better that the first.

I can't believe I'm actually stank face-ing to a Sonic soundtrack. All aspects of the game were great but they cooked beyond belief with this track.

This stage was nightmare fuel for me, took me twenty minutes to beat as I got stuck on one section with turning road for ages. Doom Wings is my nemesis

While still sounding modern with the choices of synths and drums, this track really reminds me of the classic 2D Sonic game OSTs in how bright, upbeat and jazzy it feels. I wasn't expecting a level so late in the game to capture such a joyful throwback vibe, but I certainly had a huge smile on my face when it did.

This level and music has certainly become a franchise highlight for me. It's such a strange, creative, and mesmerising combination of aesthetics. I've always been a fan of how the music in the Sonic games would play around with modern pop music of their times, going all the way back to the hip hop influences of the early 2D games. It never occurred to me that blasting through robots while breezing through a volcanic landscape could be such a chill vibe.

As I fall here, I recall the fading glance she gave me and the vow of vengeance that I took in her name. Why'd you bring me back into my darkest hour? Why'd you bring me back to cables, cars, and towers? From this highway, I've since taken off the turn now retribution burns! (Lyrics from Juno Songs)
