Hey, That's a really cool rig. I was thinking of doing a Chevy, but I have had a lot of issues with the transmission on mine. I have had it rebuilt twice and it only has 128K on it. I was wondering, have you had any such issues? Mine is a 2017, so yours has a bit of a different drive train in it I believe... Thanks!

A metal shackle is safe when used as the attachment point on the vehicle when used with a proper attachment point. If the rope or strap breaks it will still be attached to the vehicle. Soft shackles are better/safer when used in between two ropes, straps, or a combination of the two. Soft shackles shouldnt be used with any attachment point that has sharp angles or edges.

Kenton Lake in the beginning? As a Tennessee resident, I’d rather go up to Wayne Forest than go to the Smokies 😅. It’s way, WAY overrated in my opinion. People ask me about coming down and I usually just tell them not to, it’s just a tourist trap mostly. Hopefully you still had a good time though.
