A little about us:

Who says BASS GUITAR is a boring instrument? Chris Squire with Allen White 1985 - READ DESCRIPTION
Просмотров 1846 месяцев назад
There is no known video footage of Chris Squire playing this amazing "solo" during the 90125 World Tour. But since there is audio, I have meshed it with video of the Whitefish solo from a 1998 concert. Since Chris made changes to the solo all the time, it is impossible to completely match video with audio, so I barely tried (with some noticeable exceptions). Chris Squire passed away on June 27,...

Like Kansas. Rolling Stone hated them (one reason they’ve never been inducted or even nominated to the R&R Hall of Fame). What a bunch of morons. I wouldn’t choose any of their top 10 songs!

Frampton wasn't that big of a deal before this live album. In fact, he may be one of the only artists who basically ONLY charted with a live album, because he put such a crazy good show on (and blew people's minds with that damn talkbox). Honestly, if you've heard his studio albums, the production really robs them of the energy his live albums have. A modern band who uses the talkbox quite a bit is Chromeo, a dance-pop duo out of Montreal. Their keyboardist is the one who uses it, and I'd say one of the best illustrations of it is their performance with Darryl Hall (yeah, that one) covering Hall and Oates' "No Can Do" at Darryl's home studio.

When Freddie Mercury calls you a “ sewer rat decaying in a cesspool of pride” you know you messed up. lol. Queen has 200 songs to hear. There are so many brilliant songs as every member composed songs. Brilliant band! You gotta listen to all of the deep cuts albums as they are journeys. Legends.

The Wall is the obstacle to Christianity in my opinion. The writer was know to have been searching spiritually during this time. Crossing the wall to the other side finding harmony and looking back encouraging others contemplating crossing by saying there is no loss.

I think it's about Robert having sex with many women. And he keeps saying to himself, stop it. But he can't help himself. There was a movie where men like this were called Manwhores. 😅😮. Luv this song, love the GOATS 🐐🐐🐐

This is one of the best songs ever went cranked to 11 on a great sound system. As always Led Zeppelin are the Gods of Rock, no one else is even close. Most legendary bands have a couple/few hits, maybe a little more for the Beatles & Stones, but with Zeppelin just about every song on every album is an iconic all time great song. Simply the best!

Peter Green was so great. Awesome emotive guitar work. I love Buckingham-era FM, but everything before it is still solid. Genuinely surprised he had never heard the Santana version. That "Abraxas" album is gold from start to finish

Santana's version of Black Magic Woman may also let you introduce Gabor Szabo who not only wrote the end melody "Gypsy Queen" but also was an guitar inspiration to Carlos Santana. I really hope you are familiar with his music!!!

You ARE pretty sheltered huh? Could be music of the devil. I'm not sure I've even heard this version, of course the Santana version many times. There's bluesy goodness here but there's also a dose of acid rock at one point, yes Santana tends to have a Latin feel and there's a different rhythm. Good stuff for both versions.

It’s not Swing. It’s Jump Blues. It’s a combination of Swing type of orchestration and Blues. This is why there is a harmonica in it. Aerosmith’s rendition is pretty close to the original with Perry’s guitar mimicking the horn section.
