i'm so glad this video was randomly on my recommend page... i'm not a professional artist (yet) but i'm definitely a jack-of-all-trades hobbyist and i've been feeling self-critical lately about my inability to "commit" to one art form. i love the way you reframe this into a strength... like, i may not be the "best" at fiber arts, ceramics, guitar, writing, or filmmaking on their own, but i can combine my skills in each medium together to make something that only i could make and something that uniquely expresses my self. plus, it's fun to play and sometimes fail! thanks for this perspective ❤️

I have major depressive and anxiety along with a super fun auto immune disorder because the crushing depression wasn't enough to deal with I guess, they say God doesn't give you more than you can handle but then again I don't believe in God so there's that. Anyway I went through a divorce, my ex decided his late 30's was a neat time to get hooked on heroine, you know some dudes buy a fancy car mine chose hard drugs to each there own, but after 2 years I had to nope my way out of that mess well having the worst flair up of my life from the stress and now I'm on immune suppressants probably forever YA! Anyway haven't made art in months as I've been kind of going through it. I'm glad I happened upon this video thank you for the pep talk! I will try to just pick up a writing instrument and F around and find out which is great for art but not so much for drugs. Remember kids play stupid games win stupid prizes!
