UPDATE: at the very last possible moment the Crown Prosecutor "stayed" the charges. Our defense (self represented) was to challenge the jurisdiction of the court (Provincial) hearing Federal charges. The other document we relied on was the Canadian Bill of Rights. It now has been proven that there was no authority and thus charges were not in force, when served by a "part time" worker who had been "blessed" by Ministry of Health, when in fact, they had no authority. No more than a regular citizen.

The problem to use bitcoin as a pay currency is the high fees it has by transaccion, bitcoin cant be used as pay currency, bitcoin cash is different with his low transacction fees and can be used as pay currency

I am trying to learn about bitcoin. Other than for long term investment in case bitcoin goes up, what is the benefit if you have to pay a fee when you buy it, and a fee you use it. Unless you’re in El Salvador and load your wallet at a Chivo ATM!

Reverend Hodl, I watched all 3 parts of your documentary about Bitcoin in El Salvador. The videos are very informative, concise and well edited. I like the simplicity on how you tell your findings. I'm glad you visited El Salvador, and enjoyed your stay. I'm a Salvadorean myself, but have lived in the US since 1991, in the Virginia, Maryland, & Washington DC Area. We're in 2023 and so many things have changed. I lived the whole civil war and started traveling to the US since 1986 as an interpreter. Due to the bad situation for the last 3 decades, I avoided to visit El Salvador, or would go every other 3 years. At one point, I didn't visited it for over 15 years, 1998-2013 specially due to so many crimes going on caused by gang members. Now thigs have changed for the best, and now I'm visiting 2 or 3 times a year. Well, wish you great success with your reports, and you're always welcome to El Salvador!

Salvadoran authorities are not corrupt. I was hoping that you did not offer a bribe because if you did, they would have arrested you.
Some parts accept Bitcoin, and some areas don't, and prefer cash or they have problems with their network, so they prefer dollars which is the national currency. The safest country in America, and I hope you had fun.

@@cfcf6216 fiat is by decree. It is created from thin air and only viable because of a belief system. Whereas bitcoin has proof of work, a finite amount and it can be audited every 10 min.

It sure will be. The training and education has it's roots in El Salvador and is now being exported. El Salvador is leading the world. That said, it still takes time but we are definitely moving in the right direction.

Great video series of El Salvador Bitcoin community and thank you for being honest most think moving to a foreign country will be easy especially the accepting of Bitcoin in all stores.
I believe the free market will be the guide. If a shop or restaurant that accepts bitcoin is busier than those that do not, the merchants will adapt. Nothing needs to be forced or mandated. That is also the approach of the Gov. They are patient and allowing things to progress. Thanks for watching the videos 👍
