I am glad you recorded the incident at the checkpoint. You handled it well. It was interesting to see how you, with your limited Spanish and the officer, communicated and understood each other. I loved that you didn’t chicken out and continued the communication.
El Salvador has the most kind and welcoming human beings there are, is what I keep hearing from tourists who visit. I can’t wait to take my family there this summer for a whole month. 😊

Both of the officers were cool. They were there for protection of a world class surfing competition.

yup Cops are really friendly unless you are a gang member or DUI, they only had two options: break protocol/law by being kind to a tourist and allowing him to go or follow it and pretty much put a ticket to the vehicle's plate into the system.
But in no way or form they will take you out of the car and do anything that can harm you, I always feel safe with my family whenever I encounter them and I remember they have been standing up in the sun for 6 hours in dark clothes.

A local told me they call those trees Fuego (fire) trees, for their brilliant orange. They really are spectacular.

Thank you for your fabulous video! We are planning to move from Poland to El salvador to star a small resort business at el cuco Beach and also take the opportunity of paying with BITCOIN, and that makes our life easier. Viva Bukele and Bitcoin!!😂

Best of luck with your plans. I've met so many people who are planning to move or have already moved to El Salvador. These entrepreneurs are well researched, have done the hard work to understand bitcoin and they have a real firm grasp on the global economic and political situations. It was been remarkable how similar we think.

Great adventurist video 📷. Next time though, don't get too nervous at check points. Thanks to BUKELE, Peace officers and soldiers would not do anything outside the law. So if you're straight just act friendly.

Yeah, the two officers were straight up and there for the surfing competition security. I think everyone felt safe and confident. I appreciate their work.

That’s right the oficers are to obey the law. We just need to do our part every body have the ID handy. No need at all to be nervous with them.🇨🇦

Salvadoran authorities are not corrupt. I was hoping that you did not offer a bribe because if you did, they would have arrested you.

Quite unbelievable that you didn’t get written up by that cop, count yourself very very lucky, they take that very seriously and also your ID if you don’t have your ID with you when you get pulled over you will be seeing the inside of a jail cell, for christ’s sake have all your documentation in order before heading out, you don’t wanna find out the hard way what happens if you don’t have everything ready, I have an uncle that spent 2 days in jail because he didn’t have his ID with him, I’ve heard, best case scenario if you don’t have your ID you can get out in only a couple of hours and pay a fine if the cops have the staff and if they care enough, if not, you will just wait to be fingerprinted and it’s anyone’s guess until they come get you, stay safe out there, enjoy my little country 🙋🏻‍♂️
