Living Sacrifice is one of those few bands that you don't need to be a Christian to enjoy their music

Yes!! I was blessed to see these brothers back in the early 2000's at a local church and WHOA; they were AMAZING 🎉🎉 🎸 🔥 That was during the time they released their Hammering Process Album. 🔨 👀 See time stamp 8:50 Also see time stamp 3:10 "the floor got wet during the Hammering Process," he meant. 😊 The sound they produce is powerful and other-worldly! 🌎 😮 And no; they do not sound like Slayer. Please! 😂 Not even their self-titled album sounds like those Catholic shredders (Slayer), yet many critics will say otherwise. Yes, the lead singer (Tomás Enrique Araya Díaz) was raised Catholic.🙄 You have to dig deep into ridiculous subjectivity (aka stupid opinion) to draw the conclusion that Living Sacrifice ripped off Slayers' sound and lyrical style. 😉 But I digress. They are gifted! No doubt! 😎 Shalom!

I am liking the music. I am Born again and like all kinds of worship music. I used to love secular metal. I woudl not want to compare myself to a secular band like Metallica who so openly serve the devil. I also would not want to have any fans. I want to make fans of Jesus only. A fan means you are an idol to them. I fought this for a long time but the Holy Spirit won. I gave up even the Beatles because I was once such a big fan. I gave up Devin Townsend recently because I was a fan. I do not have favorite bands today. I love top sing to God and play to God and encourage others to worship God. I do not miss any of it! God fills me with so much more! I love that you are making worship music but I pray you are careful about wanting fans and pray no one makes idols of you. Metal can be Joyful also. It does not have to be dark or make some feel angry listening to it. It is about the power of God and majesty and might! I am not judging your music or hearts for the Lord. Just had a lot of life experience and I love the Lord with all my heart soul and mind and I love you like Jesus loves you.

I went back to that store and offered to pay after confessing I stole it. They forgave me and wouldn't take my money.

I stole their first cassette tape from a Christian store. Cutting lines on it while listening to it..painting skate boards in California. Clean 33 years now. Thank you Lord Jesus..and my mom.

living sacrifice at the revelation room in canton tx in 2001 (i think). i was 11 and it was my first show. it was at that show i knew i was gonna spend the rest of my life in the music world

Reborn was the first time I realized that their is Christian metal. It changed everything for me.

In “No Longer” at the beginning right when it does into “Fear get away from me” gives me chills every time. Top 5 albums for me of all time. Just picked up the repressing limited to 500 copies.

Wow this brings back memories! I used to play LS on my radio show in college.

I remember being at the Norva for a Demon Hunter concert during the Stronger than Hell tour. It was my first concert too. Demon Hunter didn't play that night cause the lead singer was sick, and one guy was mad about that. He was cussing up a storm and everything over it. Well, now it's time for living sacrifice to do their sound checks, and during Lance's, he said, "I don't care how good this f***ing band is. I'm still pissed." And the timing could not have been more perfect, cause Lance did a quick drum solo right after he said that. It was like he had heard this dude and said, "oh yeah? Well watch this!!" The dude completely changed his tune. Now I must clarify that lance did not hear him. How could he while doing a sound check? But it was an amazing show and we even chanted for about 2 minutes for LS to comeback out on stage. It was an amazing experience, and since they had some time, all the bands came out after LS finished up and socialized with the fans. I made sure to get The Autographs of Living Sacrifice on the back of my ticket printout, which i still have framed up on my wall. I don't know if there's such a thing as a drum hero (as a guitar player, I have my share of guitar heroes) but Lance is definitely on the list of drummers who are worthy of that status. He's a ridiculously good drummer and a cool guy all around.

I love their first three albums, especially "INHABIT" which is the most brutal raw Christian death metal I've ever heard. It is amazing. I am not too crazy about the Reborn style of music but I have high respect for the post-Darren Johnson lineup. They should have maintained their original style in my opinion, but it is what it is.
