In my day a car that looked set up like that would be a total sleeper. You'd figure it for a low 13 high 12 sec car, bet him a hundo and lose your ass. A guy named Tony Hopkins ( Belleville Illinois) had a 69 Nova like that. It ran 9s. Trouble was, Tony had a rep for the baddest cars around so no one figured it for a sleeper. He lost his life in a terrible car accident on Interstate 64 (1982 I think) along with 2 friends and a 4th that survived. The 4th individual succumbed decades later as a result of injuries due to that accident. It was not related to street racing or anything , just a tragic auto accident.
