Nowadays, this place looks tacky, shoddy, with that lousy paint job, the red, the blue, the pink, the yellow, rather than European Renaissance look it was once known for and became a magnet to McGoohan to film his show there. A village can lose it's lure and charm with buildings that have the wrong color paint on the exterior. Too abrupt for the eye.

Best thing about Whitby the town is so dog freindly.

I couldn't get on! I've been going to Thorpe Park since 2009 & although I have grown since I was 15, I've always gotten on Colossus! This year though, I got turned away because the belt wouldn't reach! I know for a fact that they've changed the belts so they don't extend, because every year since '09, I've always gotten on & know for a fact that I haven't put any weight!

Very tight especially on the legs for me, The Vekoma Flying coasters are a lot more plus size friendly

I can only just squeeze in the big seat at 57 inch chest yet I carnt fit on the smiler which is advertised at 56 inch chest so I don’t think the measurements by Alton towers are accurate

I’m 6 foot 4 in height and 57inch waist and weigh 150kg and can ride everything at Legoland, all rides are plus size friendly

I’m 57 inch waist and I can get on Kobra and rattlesnake, the most restrictive rides at chessington is Vampire and Mandrill Mayhem

God bless you for this, it’s always anxiety inducing thinking about whether I will fit on the rides

I tried to get on colossus twice at 18 stone and couldn't get on the ride I think they need to make the strap longer so accessible to everyone.

Love your video and the TV series. Question. Was Number 6's flat in the TV show real or a sound stage on the inside? I would love to know if it really exists on the inside and outside and if it's still left intact or not.

I went to Alton towers today and was very worried about not fitting, due to my size the first ride I went on was oblivion I sat in a seat with the double buckles without realising it wouldn’t close, my heart sank but then they moved me to the one across with the single buckle and I fitted perfectly fine which had me confused because from what I had learned the double buckle was for the larger guest but I couldn’t fit in the larger seat but fitted perfectly fine in the smaller seat

I am slightly bigger than you based on the measurements you gave, do you have a list of what rides you are able to ride as I'm taking my kids in the Summer and just want to know what rides I can ride with them (I already know I can't ride any over shoulder harness rides). Thank you for this video.

I'm really happy to see the issue of plus-sized friendly theme parks being discussed so openly. There was one time I wasn't able to ride Colossus at Thorpe Park and it was really embarrassing. It sort of put me off going back to theme parks but this video makes me want to give them another go 😊🙌

Sad that you couldn't fit in Galactica, its a great ride! I have been lucky to have a moderate size and weight, unfortunately thats not the case for many others. These are just safety restrictions so that the ride doesn't break down or fault. You know what they say, there's plenty more fish in the sea ( or rollercoasters! 😜 )
