    Thanks so much Tim for putting together this video. Many of our users doing motovlogging they have being setting the input gain at -5db inside a closed helmet. I would recommend disconnecting from our app when streaming to the camera too. Let me know if that helps improving the audio. Ride safe, have fun! Michele - Instamic CEO

    If theres a gain level on the mic somewhere, turn it down to minus 5 or 6, it'll clear up the crackle of the audio.

      @@meandmyshadow7839 if you use the phone app to assist with the connection it should adapt the volume- or you can tweak it to no more than 6db in post and preferably just 1 or 2 db. At least since it’s 32 bit you shouldn’t clip but there were some close to clips and chirps from an over volume. You’ll tweak it for sure.

    I like the clean look on the helmet's outer shell. Test it in different positions. It may or may not work better away from your mouth. Don't know the specific instructions. As far as work goes, get that done first and we all will be waiting for the next video whenever that happens.

    Sounds fine, soon as you make the call you're happy using it, stitch a patch over the bottom magnet to keep it there. Probably won't lose it on the road but when you put your helmet down or on bike sissy bar etc...

    Can you explain the accessories you have. (Not so much the camera items for filming but all the others.) Like the u shaped mirror, amd the tire guage, cup holder, and the bag i see on gas tank. What they are, how they connect to the bike, and if you have a link so you could get commission if we bought it. I know I want to get the tire guage thing and I need a bag to put my gun, and basics like gum, insurance and registration.. to name a few. Just not sure what to get

The tire pressure monitor system TPMS is called Sykick (Amazon) around 50 bucks. Works off of Bluetooth stem caps. That's a start, anyway lol

    I think its a personal choice. When I ride behind my hubby I wear knee short, sneakers and a T shirt, but when I start riding my bike by myself, I will wear Jeans, boots and , T shirt (or when it gets cooler a jacket and chaps ( which i need to buy before that time.) But I think as I get more comfortable riding I might go back to knee shorts. But we see. As for a bike or gettinv a new one it is according to how much I drive this one. Hubby says i I ride a lot he will buy me a Harley next year. It wont be a new one but there are a lot of new Harleys out there for sale. I might just ride my 750 til the wheels fall off. I mean its in excellent shape. It had 977 miles on it when I bought it. I am still breakkng it in at new stage.. if I add a little chrome to it. It look even better. So i may just keep it ...

    When braking from real cruising speeds (let’s say 70) try to leave the clutch engaged as long as possible. This will make bike much more stable on the trajectory. Don’t be afraid of stalling the engine-it won’t happen as long as wheels are spinning. Leave the whole clutch/downshifting business to the late stages of the process. Focus on progressive braking. Ideally the whole thing goes like this: Roll off the throttle (important:), then start with rear brakes. Fraction of second later start to progressively applying front brake. As the front suspension loads up go easy on the rear to prevent wheel lock and sliding. As we still have our clutch engaged the torque from the engine keeps the rear wheel from getting locked. As the speed have dropped to about 20 mph you may pull the clutch and start downshifting.

      No worries! This might sound a bit complicated, but the safe and efficient emergency braking is a fine skill indeed. Many aspects vary on different bikes. That’s why practice it in safe environment first. Get a good feel of how your own bike behaves. Make this braking process fluid and automatic. Practice is everything! Just don’t overheat your brakes:) Ride safe!

    A number of years ago i almost went down on my old shadow, cruising up to a light here in town, light turned yellow, i grabbed almost a full fist of front brake, was some gravel pebbles on the road, was in the spring so it could of been left over from winter, front tire kicked, and i managed to release the brake and came to a stop before i ate pavement. BIG time learning curve... Great video and lots of good info!!

    Thanks for the video. Great info! Talking about the friction zone on where the bike starts moving. Do you have a preference where that release point is? On my bike it is almost at the very end of where you release the clutch so it seems like I am releasing the clutch forever before the bike actually starts moving. I think I be more comfortable if the bike started moving when I get about 3/4th of the way out with the clutch. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @meandmyshadow7839
      @meandmyshadow7839 13 дней назад

      You can always make an adjustment to fit what you would prefer. For me, I like to start to feel the engagement of the drive about half way thru the clutch release. It all depends on what you get used to. I know that on a few test rides of other shadows, the release point was closer to the end, and it felt a little weird. The trick is getting the release as smooth as possible. Once you get that down, it really doesn't matter.

    After looking around and sitting on a lot of bikes, I have come to realize that my "dream" bike is not a brand, but rather its a "style" a "look" a "feel"...challenge is finding a bike that fits those for me in one bike lol like the Dyna I had, it had the style and look I wanted, but not the feel, my shadow has the style, and look that the Dyna did, but has the feel I like but not the comfort I want for longer trips without changing the look by adding comfort modifications. My choices are now narrowed down to 99-2003 Yamaha road stars, 99-2005 Suzuki intruder/boulevard 1500, and 99-2005 Kawasaki Vulcan nomads or the Harley Dyna switchbacks

      Make sure thatbyou do not see any water in the oil Check the tires for dry rot. Check the chain for rust if has a chain. Make sure it starts without choke. Let it run and look for leaks Test all of the lights. Test ride it as well

    You can tell I am a newbie. I did not know they had "riding" jeans. I have a few questions. Do they fit like regular jeans like loose fit levi's.? I am not much on tight jeans on a motorcyclee... Just to be honest, butt sweat is not fun. All that might be nerves and as I ride more that will be less 🤣 ....

      So far they are great. They fit good and are comfy The knee pads take some getting used to but over all they are great. I got the Street Steele brand at Cycle Grear

    What about a video of what parts you change out for non factory parts? And any special perk parts you have on it (like i saw the one that measures tire pressure)
