I remember in 81 or 82 i was 11 or 12 years old and while out in the las vegas desert at the mint 400 someone had a display and was selling brand new sand scorchers and rough rider kits (i think thats what they were) and i was amazed by them but My dad obviously wouldnt buy me one at the time but in 1985 i did get an rc10 for christmas and im 54 and still into rc.

On certain weekdays ive knocked over Recycle Bins, full pull, occasionally. Then theres the guy i knocked off his Scooter & landed on top of the Detta ,he limped off , i drove off with a broken rear wing.

Traxxas nitros are made cheap if you want to get in to nitro go with hobao .

Very cool vid, and nice work. Lots of memories. Grabbed a RC-10 in 1987 and never looked back and have been racing since. Bought a Losi GTX in 1996, and raced it till 2006 when Losi quit making a 1/10 scale nitro truck. First release Xray Truggy in 2006, it still wins to this day, against brand new gear. Really ticks those new guys off when I snag a trophy with a truggy that has about 18 years under it's belt.
