7:35 basically the gameplay is babysitting. Your allies won’t last 30 seconds before they need you to come and save their ass and they are also a defeat condition. 99% of the game will be hyrule captain asking for your help.

Poured so many hours in the original in the Wii U and you may have just sold me into getting the switch one. Absolute jewel of a game!

I haven’t played this this game BUT it looks cool I did play age of calamity and age of calamity is one of my favourite games ever but I do hate the divine beast segments also why are 2 of the sages from ocarina of time playable but the others not

Hyrule Warriors is awesome, both of them. I think Age of Calamity is a better BOTW follow up than Tears of The Kingdom, it took the characters, story, gameplay mechanics of BOTW and actually expanded upon them. Glad to see the HW games get some well-deserved love!

I don't understand how you actually make a healer tanky I either have healers that are squishy with god level heals Or tanky healers maxing out at 10k crit heals best

It always annoyed me a bit how people call Warriors gameplay "button mash-y" as if you couldn't say that about nearly EVERY action-oriented gameplay... It's a bit like Street Fighter or Smash Bros imo. You can button mash and do just fine, but it's with the thoughtful use of combos that the gameplay really shines. Same with Hyrule Warriors. I must say though, the other Nintendo-focused Warriors games aren't as good as this one. I know people like Age of Calamity, but I just couldn't get into it. It has really poor performance, so I constantly got a headache trying to play it and doesn't feel as good to play as the first one. 🤷‍♂️

For me HW is one of the most perfect games for: "I have a hour to kill, but I don't know how." It is so much fun. But it gets tiring if you play it too long, so an hour fits perfectly. With all the adventure maps and their battles, you also don't really replay the same battle everytime.

NGL this video tickled me pink. I love this game even with all its flaws. It was hours upon hours of my childhood I adored on my 2DS, despite not playing any of the games at the tine except Windwaker (as i never got the phantom hourglass/spirit tracks expansion). Ironically so far it's the only dynasty warriors game/spin off i can tolerate. I tried Pirate Warriors 4 and it was fine but I never felt as thrilled As i did with Hyrule Warriors back in the day. AoC was really good too but it did lack the same charm as the original probably due to the much much smaller scope of the game. However I pray one day it gets a magnificent sequel with the same team.

This game introduced me and my sister to Zelda. It will always hold a special place in my heart

Just started the video and have to say, I love this game. My cousin got it on the wiiu and i played it with him, then DE came out on the 3ds and i played it there, then it rereleased on switch and i played with my sister. I have spent HUNDREDS of hours in this game and never finished unlocking everything, and god its just such a testament to satisfying game design. Its not exceedingly deep, even with its combos on various characters, but it is FUN.

I litteraly spent 5 months clearing all the 2d maps and unlocking all the secrets and everything. Played on WiiU and later my sister bought me the complete edition for 3ds, which had like 300% more content. Good times, one of my favorite musou games.

This game also made me realize that Impa’s my number one childhood crush.

I think the visual flair is also a huge reason why i love this game. A few of the other warriors games are visually way more boring brown and grey with attacks that lack the impact a lot of the moves in this game have. That and the characters in this feel way more unique in their fighting style compared to something like the fire emblem warriors games. I'm a big fire emblem fan and not much of a zelda fan yet i prefer hyrule warriors over the fire emblem ones.

there are a lot of possible spin offs for dynasty warriors with not just Nintendo but the gaming industry as a whole. we can get a hyrule warriors game where zelda goes back in time in the tears of the kingdom and get to see the old sages. a game that is highly requested is xenoblade warriors. Persona 5 Strikers was the most popular and best selling spin off game in the Persona series so there is a good chance that we will also get a Persona 6 Strikers, especially because both Persona Q and Persona dancing were also turned into entire series

You should play _Age of Calamity_ now! That game is so much fun and has a pretty good story with amazing voice acting (for the new characters, especially). That game deserves at least one more DLC pack. It sadly feels incomplete, even after the extra stages and characters they added. I doubt we'll get new DLC this late after it released, but I hope Nintendo continues this partnership in the future.

Age of calamity never quite captured the charn that the first Hyrule warriros did for me. Ive got hundreds of hours in one and maybe a dozen in the other. And, really, im not sure why. (Heck, i got more into the first fire emblen warriors more than AOC. And the writing in that game is BEYOND cringe. I dont know why AOC doesnt click for me when that did.) This was a great video on explaining the highlights of the game. Id love for it to get a propper sequel, or at least, the spin off characters to bleed into the main series. Cia and lana are among my favorite characters in the entire zelda series. At least in my own rose tinted glasses of a game i played years ago. :P

This game and its re release on Switch is legit one of the most addictive and replayable games ever. I've played it for so long and still have stuff to unlock

Thinking about buying this game...

A nitpik I have with the game is that I wish that certain aspects of it were clearer. A couple things would be the A rank requirements because they differ from level to level, some require 1500 enemies defeated while other require 2000, same goes for damage and time taken, I wish there was a way to know what the requirements are without having to redo the mission. The other thing that comes to mind is some of the Skulltulas requirements don't seem to line up sometimes for whatever reason. Some being "defeat ????? Before ?????" it would be nice if these got revealed after mission completion but oh well.

Yes I love the OG (played Wii U and Switch) but Age of Calamity did absolutely nothing for me. Which is unfortunate! I’m not a Zelda fan whatsoever, but the OG had something special. I need to replay it one of these days, it really is one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time even if I don’t play it anymore. Once you unlock most things, well 😅

Me and my sister played this game all the time on the 3ds. I mainly played Toon Link, Zant, and Zelda :)

The Definitive Edition made Spirit Tracks Zelda playable, therefore it's my favourite. And they were _so_ faithful to her character. Someone loved the heck out of Spirit Tracks and that makes my heart so happy. I played the original version, Legends and Definitive. Legends is the only version I didn't really like.

I bought this game for my birthday two months ago, and it has been so much fun. I'm currently finishing the Twilight Adventure map, and I'm not slowing down any time soon.

The first time I played this game was when it came out on Switch. I played it with my dad in multiplayer. I actually just stopped playing after beating Cia in the story mode, and never really touched anything else. Now, a decade later, 7 years later, I’m playing it again. This time I’m really diving in. I’ve beaten the entire Legend Mode and I am currently over a quarter of the way through the first Adventure Mode map.

Incorrect. Hyrile warriors has no sequel. Age of Calamity is a prequel to Breath of the Wild.

the original release of hyrule warriors was the first ever game i pre ordered. i love this game to death. but i also love the original fire emblem warriors and i just want more of a community around both in this day and age but i dunno if it is even possible.

I had a very similar experience with Fire Emblem Warriors. These games really have so much depth that is easily overlooked by most people who don’t give them a real chance. Glad you had a good time with HW and if you like the gameplay you might like Fire Emblem Warriors since it has better AI for the other characters you deploy since they use the weapon triangle in combat and can actually defeat enemies well when not controlled
