Hey! The wah comes from a digital pedal board, I think I used the cry baby modelisation though ;) I used to have a real cry baby, cool pedal!

Thank you very much! :) My guitar goes right into my 20W Hugues&Kettner tube amp, recorded by a sm57 microphone that goes right into my audio interface. I used the distortion from the amp, the other effects like reverb/chorus/delay are added in post production in my DAW

Thank you! I honestly can't remember the strings gauge I used, it was so long ago :p But right now, for drop C I would put something like 11/14/18/30/42/59 It depends on how you like your tension, it varies quite a lot from a player to another

Hi! I didn't used a lot of effects when I recorded it. Just the distortion and reverb from my amp. Then I added some eq, compression and sometimes delay in post processing. Also I used the neck pickup of my guitar through the whole song

@mattlefrip yeah... the whole making of this album was painful for them. Philip recorded the vocals in New Orleans, and dime, vince and Rex recorded in Texas. Phil was suffering a lot with injuries on his back, and become addicted to hard drugs to pass through the pain that he was suffering. The result was the heaviest and the darkest Pantera album, with incredible songs like this one, floods and sandblated skin.

Hi! I am not sure which sound you are taliking about exactly but there is multiple guitar parts at this moment. I just did the rythm part but there are also high melodic parts. It sounds like distorded guitars with reverb and/or delay to make them atmospheric and almost synth-like

If you're asking about the background guitar behind the riff, it's an ebow; a device which essentially sustains a note forever. There's loads of ebow options out there, and it sounds like the track here just has it going through loads of reverb and delay. They might also have a little bit of pitch vibrato either by effect or by bending the note slightly just for that sort of violin effect.

You are not the first to ask. I never took the time to look into digital tab apps, but I will one day! I'll probably tab this one in the future but I don't know when

It is a custom 17/90 string set. I haven't found yet a set that suits my liking for this kind of guitar and tuning. There is not tons of options on the market right now for bass VI guitars. So I experiment to make a set of strings that feels good to me
