Im not a fan of Adobe either but the cheapest plan is 9.99 a month, not $20. The $9.99 a month only gives you 20 gb of online storage and not the 1tb. I dont use online storage so I pay the $9.99. Now I dont know about you but thats pretty low cost for both Lightroom and Photoshop. I dont know of any other editor plus catalog programs for that price. Short of using Darktable which is free opensource. But its really only a Lightroom clone. You would also need Gimp with it to get the EDITING similar to photoshop.

I was excited about this tool until I found out it is only for Windows, Mac, and Ipad. I even checked github but that site hasn't been updated in 9 years. I am a Linux user. It's about personal taste and preference for me. I have nothing against the other OSs. I sent them a message hoping that they will come out with a Linux version but it is probably a waste of time.

This is very informative I have used it in the past but started using wps office formally kingsoft office. Now I am using google docs only because of the talk to type feature. Thanks to you I am going to give libre office another try.

Microsoft Office was once free. It came with the computer. It was called Microsoft Office Works.

And I been doing the do for a loooong, even at a time when it didn't work so well.

Useful video, thanks. One feature it doesn’t seem to have is measuring distances on pdf plans & maps. This was included in my (paid for) copy of Acrobat v6. Have you found any way of doing this?

I appreciate your time BUT you made the classic error so many YT producers do and that's add a cheesy background music track that serves no purpose. Worse, it's almost at the same level as your dialog. I agree with your notion about Libre Office but I stopped listening after about 3 minutes ☹.

That is the point subscriptions is a way those big companies forced you to update / upgrade the software, and pay big money for it, even if you do not want or do not need. I remember using a very old legal version of word, excell, powerpoint for windows XP for years, and it worked like a charm, but with newer versions of windows 10+ it does not work anymore (I am sure ms managed to guarantee it would not work properly) I refuse to pay for any subscription so I moved to those free solutions: Office: LibraOffice Video Editor:DaVince Resolve CAD: FreeCAD (by the way it is light years better than Autodesk Autocad and much easier to use) PCB design: Kicad Modeling: Blender Photoshop: Glimp Audio: Audacity and so on and so forth, we all need to stop those greed corporate companies from charging irreal prices for the junk they create, full of bugs.

Another good alternative, for some maybe not for everyone, is SoftMaker.

I'm a big fan of Linux and LibreOffice. One thing I struggle with in LibreOffice is printing envelopes.. something that Word does easily. Can someone help me with this?

Libre Office has become a must for my use case. I have it installed on all my PCs and try to convert as many others as I can.

I had already started by cancelling Netflix - a subscription I had had for about 15 years - and in the last few years I barely watched a series - so my next step was 365... and I forgot to address it. I agree - I don't like subscription model for personal use either - there are some reasons in business - at times.

Save yourself money and headaches and move on to Libre office, I already did.

Libra Office is a must. I have been using it for years and wouldn't use anything else.
