I appreciate your perspective! GIMP can definitely have a learning curve, but many users find it rewarding once they get the hang of it. As for Thunderbird, it still has its loyal fanbase, but I am testing a different client now. A lot of companies and individuals still use e-mail clients. That may not be for you and that's fine. Choices are great to have. Thank you!

@annoyed707 Hey, I also use Bitdefender, you can temporarily disable bit by going to protection, open antivirus, Advanced, and then toggle off the Bitdefender shield temporarily while you create your rufus disk. Hope this helps.

@behramcooper3691 Hi, Yes it does. Just go to task settings, Screen recording, screen recording settings, and select your audio source. You should see your default audio source from windows and just select it. You can also record from your mic while screen recording. Hope this helps

Hey, You can go to settings Click Accounts in the left panel Click Other users Click Add account, Click I don't have this person's sign-in information Click Add a user without a Microsoft account .Enter the account details Click Next to create the local account. Once you have created a local account you can remove the Microsoft Account. Hope that helps.

Yes they do but not for free. If you are familiar with Microsoft's paid services that incorporate Co-Pilot, Google does the same with Gemini in their Workspace paid services.

Hi Robby, I have seen that error before when doing an upgrade from 7/ 10 or 10/11 etc. Theres likely a driver or application in your current installation preventing the upgrade. You will either have to identify what's causing the error, or back-up your data and do a clean installation. Hope that helps. Thank you

Hi, I believe its the first line or two in the install guide that states "If you are running it without Docker/Podman, and choose to do a manual install, some dependencies might not be available in the standard repositories of all Linux distributions, and may require additional steps to install." It may be your specific distro, or you can try running it Docker/Podman, Hope that helps.

It would be impossible to answer that without knowing what your pc is. If its really old it will likely be slow and as a result not a good Idea, However, I put in on an AMD A-8 5500 with 8 gigs of RAM that's 10 years old and it works fine but your experience may be different. You can always roll it back to 10 if you do an upgrade, not a clean install. Thanks for watching

@tekskilldev8310 Hi, those passport drives are formatted differently with proprietary disk tools on them. I would just use a cheap ole thumb drive you can pick up for $10

@@RayKnowsTech Ray I watch your videos as I am a subscriber. Thank you for quick response. You are right when I put a small thumb usb, it showed up in the device slot and was possible to proceed. However, my thumb is only 2gb so was unable to write image that large. I will buy a cheap one as you suggested and then try. I think it will work. Keep doing the good work!!

Was able to get windows 11 with usb flash. Took about 30 minutes to complete the whole process. Got all the files and folders from windows 10 back and how I can tell it is windows 11 because the start up button and pinned apps are in the center of the monitor instead of at the far left buttom. Thanks say! Microsoft 11 download and rufus did the trick. I am sure Ray you have helped a lot of people. Keep at it Merry xmas.

@CelestOnFire Hi! I personally wouldn't put 11 on a system that old. Its likely the processor wont be recognized by 11 and even if it is it will likely be very slow. However, I have done it and you are correct you would need to go to 10 and then upgrade to 11. Thank you!
