Volvo V70 Alternator Replacement P2 2001 Petrol
Просмотров 78 тыс.11 лет назад
Here I Replace the the alternator in a 2001 V70 turbo petrol Auto. After a'Low battery voltage' message during driving, and a subsequent confirmation of no alterntor output. It's always worth giving the the alternator a little knock with some wood or a hammer handle to see if you can get a few more miles out of it, but it will ultimately need replacement or overhaul. Good luck with yours.
Window stuck down Volvo V70 2001 front electric window.
Просмотров 152 тыс.11 лет назад
This was a very quickly thrownn together video showing how I restored window operation on my v70, I got lucky and a disconnect/reconnect fixed it, but there's still some useful info here anyways. It is worth trying a battery disconnect/reconnect to solve this before stripping the door down. (need stereo code on reconnect).

2001 V70 XC 2.4 T PETROL Propshaft already removed during fault finding, vibration at speed, could also be felt around roundabouts or significant right turns at speeds of 30mph or more. I didn't get the driveshaft out at all, I've removed many over the years, this one was particulary seized in, I had very little ground clearance, so decided to leave it there for now, plus the fault has been imp...

Просмотров 33 тыс.12 лет назад
Installed a Detachable towbar to a 2001 V70 XC, Approx 1-2 hours work if it's your first attempt. Used volvo specific wiring, for £20, it's not woth cutting into the loom and potential damage if you get it wrong.
TXCVOLVO1 V70 XC ISOFIX INSTALL
Просмотров 87 тыс.12 лет назад
Just fitted an ISOFIX bracket into a V70 XC 2001, this job can be completed in about 3 - 5 minutes if your not waving a camera around. The kit was sourced direct from a Volvo dealer for around £20. This is NOT a 'how to' video, just a 'how I' video. If you use this video as a guide and cause damage or injury to property or persons as a result YOU are responsible.

    My mechanic recommended to get my throttle body rebuild to have the car drive like brand new again instead of just cleaning it , is it a better option ?

  • @UpsideDownCanoe
    @UpsideDownCanoe 2 года назад

    Worst case scenario the mechanical motor operating the butterfly value is worn out, so you either have to buy a new throttle body for 700 euros or rip one from a junk yard and have volvo calibrate (if you get one from a car with the aame engine it MIGHT work without calibration) it for you. What I did was buy an upgraded throttle body that replaces the mechanical motor for an electric motor for 300, and now I don't have to worry about it again. Also there is a 125 euro upgrade kit you can buy from BJPracing that you can install yourself but then it's a 50/50 if you have to go to volvo and recalibrate it for about 100. Hope this helps anyone who didn't solve their problem by cleaning the ETM.

    My s80 to turbo is leaking water and can't find the spot. Seems to be dripping from the middle above the oil pan. Maybe about around the engine area in the back of the engine perhaps. I could see drips but not sure where to start. Usually it starts to drip more when I turn it on. Can anyone help me so I can have a idea of where to start looking more into.
