This is from the performance with the Colorado Sympony Orchestra at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in 1992. That was one of /e best performances that I have seen.

    Music in 2024 doesn't hold a flame to the music of the 50;s, 60's, 70's and 80's

Not a cell phone to be seen, just people dancing and enjoying the music. I miss those days. I went to a concert a few years back and I couldn't even see the stage due to everyone holding their phones up to record the show.

The classic bassist in this video is Charles Burrell, the "Jackie Robinson of Classical Music." This must have been an amazing experience, not just for the audience but also for the Moody Blues as well.

They got a bit too glitzy with the dancing girls and Hollywood style intro honestly. i like the simpler versions better.

I grew up in the 90's listening to the Moody Blues b/c it's what my parents listened to. We had the old VHS of this exact concert and despite being too young to read at the time, I recognized the picture on the VHS case and would replay this song over and over. This is my favorite song from my childhood that shaped my music taste throughout the years. Dynamic, rich, and full of passion for the art that is music.

They're one of my faves as well. I always liked this song as it was a hit when bands (Beatles) were trying to make political statements. "Just a singer in a rock 'n roll band". Well said John. Chèers
