Nowhere does it say that "the accuser" wasn't Azazel either. The nature of "the accuser in Job is not consistent with a Son of God who is on YHVH's side. For example "the accuser" tries to get YHVH to violate His nature and harm Job Himself. Note how YHVH says that "you may .... but do not take his life." That behavior is consistent with Azazel the serpent.

But she's correct - the church should be a voting block. I'm sure you agree we, as Christians, should vote. And that vote should be one that minimizes evil and maximizes adherence to Godliness. If one candidate is for abortion up until birth and the other is for a 6 week limit, i'm going with the 6 week limit because that will stop thousands of abortions. If one is moving us more toward communism and government control of our God given rights, I'll go with the other one.

This title though does not leave out the possibility that this is still "The devil" or "lucifer/morning star". And the hebrew title for "The Adversary" is in Old Testament and was traditionally used to refer as one particular being, where just "adversaries", though spelled the same in Hebrew, isn't given the same weight

I haven’t listened to the whole thing so maybe my opinion will change. But at 7:17 mark, he says something really disturbing. He says he God has to the rest of the book vindicating his character. That is absolutely wrong. God does not have to do anything. God chooses to spend the rest of the book trying to get Jobe and the rest of mankind to understand more about who their creator is. This is for our benefit, not to defend himself.

If you study this Hebrew word "saraph" you find it is a function of angels and divine beings surrounding the Most High's burning love. It is clear from the context of the earthly contexts, the serpent was opposing "saved" Israel. Because "saraph" is based on "faith"; the bitten one could look and live. The saraph creature that sinned that took up a serpent function, opposes faith. The Sinless saraph Son of GOD stands for faith, those who are bitten can live. The Hebrew word STN, means to "oppose or be an opposer". The serpent was opposing GOD as an opposing elohiym power because it was allowed a tree representing his power and authority in Eden. This context is developed in Numbers 21 and later in John 3.

What about the book of Job? It definitely refers to hassaton coming before God with the sons of God. That person would not shake my faith in what I believe

I don’t think this guy knows what hes talking about. We all know in John that we are made through Christ, and the angels fell way before Adam and Eve.

Revelation 12:3-4 “…Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth…” That’s where we get it from. The Bible CANNOT be separated from tradition. Christianity and Judaism are tradition-scripture religions. This is the problem with sola scriptura. This is the problem with Bible scholars who read only the text and claim there’s no evidence or reason for this belief… Be careful following these scholars.

Rethinking with a PhD Christian that thinks the bible is full of metaphors. He does not even believe what he is teaching. I heard him say that the Garden of Eden was a metaphor.

Being human I had mixed emotions while watching this discussion. Partially about whether data was properly prioritized over the "why?" intention behind the recording of Job's event. The death penalty is a punishment higher than life w/o parole that criminals can plea bargain down from. Without it, we might have mass murderers and serial killers pleading down from life to a lesser punishment. And the only reason why the death penalty is expensive is because progressives make it expensive.

Why don't people care about the bible anymore? Because they all worship the image of the Beast. Revelation 13;11-16 is America. Two horns are right-wing Christians and Catholics. The Image of the Beast is right in front of you. Compare Exodus 13:16, Rev 13:16 & Matt 5:29. What you fill your head with and give your time, money and strength proves who your God is. It's Jesus or the Beast. The world is the Beast. Revelation 18;4 is calling. 2Thess2:11 is here. It's ALL FULFILLED! Luke 21:24. Times up.

I found Dr Heiser’s work from researching ancient aliens. I am the son of a minister and I always had questions and theories about the plurals in Genesis, Genesis 6, the witch of Endor and Greek mythology and gods. My dad nor any other minister in my Pentecostal denomination ever had an answer that made sense. I struggled with these questions throughout my life and they caused a lot of doubt and questioning my faith. Dr Heiser’s work has made sense of those questions and has reinforced my faith. I feel like I’m reading the Bible for the first time. I thank the Lord for leading me to this information. I wish I found it earlier and I was saddened to read of Dr Heiser’s death. I wish I could have met him. Through him God has revealed the history of our faith. It makes so much sense now.

Revelation 20:2 "And he laid hold on the DRAGON, that OLD SERPENT, which is the DEVIL, and SATAN, and bound him a thousand years". Am I to believe that what I am reading in Revelation is not what I am reading?. Satan, the Devil, the Dragon, The serpent, The accuser....no matter what is listed, simply, it's that same 'adversary'. Revelation 12:10 "for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night". THAT same 'accuser' was the one standing before God, "accusing"...(against) Job. Hey listen: A 'ship' can be a Galleon, a passenger ship, a battle ship or a space ship....all are 'ships'. Should we debate about this?

"P.S.A.? WTH is that? In all my years of church attendance, I've never heard that phrase used before. For me it is, "why do i need to know this stuff? Follow Jesus. Do as he did." Study the Holy Spirit and you will know who helped these men write the Bible. What the Bible meant then and now? It should be the same. If God said no then, it is no now. I do not get all of this confusion. Then you are studying the Bible and haven't learned that we are to be studying and learning on a continual basis in groups, having discussions, and by doing this you understand things so much more. We are ordered to continue in knowledge. There are so many things that we are not doing that we should be doing. We work on getting people saved, and we drop them there, we are not educating them in the Bible. Them coming to church is not enough. This is just things I learned in the last 6 months, so I am just as guilty, but I am working on it hard.

How does God have any unanswered questions? God knows what Jobe would do and has nothing to prove to any adversary. It’s Jobe’s children that paid the ultimate price just for the sake of a story and to satisfy the advisory all for something God already knew. Terrible theology.
