Its interesting when you mentioned the idea of not being able to manufacture authenticity. I think the idea that the earliest church was more of a family that didn't always "schedule" these gatherings really stems from the fact that this was Christianity in its early days. Not too many believers, but like you said, were a "Familia" regardless. I believe though that there was an idea of individualism in that state of the church, because although it allowed for a collective community to prosper, having fewer individuals allow for a each individual to feel like they are an important part of the body of Christ. I guess that's another issue with megachurches but I don't wanna touch too much on that. Thank you for these videos, Blake. please keep it up

Thanks for your comment! Means a lot!
And yeah it’s really an interesting thing. I just think the more Church centers in on the familia aspect there will be more health. It’s pretty tough because it does call people to really do life with each other and be vulnerable

@@rethinkingchristianity I think the most modern example we have of this is Boenhoeffer's "Life Together". Even speaking Biblically and exegetically, we don't see it anywhere outside of Acts 2. We see other places where people are being admonished to that type of life, but we don't get the information to lead us to think it was happening at any other time in the Scriptures.
