    i think its very interesting to give "wind magic" tropes a unique color to tint the air thats affected by the character, love it in genshin

    Looks decent, great job! As for the lighting though, as it says Avatar in the title, wouldn't it be more adequete so that the character shoots it out of their fingers rather than coming from the sky? I think it would be very cool like that

      @@teem9675 hi ! the animations for this one are from the unity asset store under Frank Climax. he has a bunch of free ones and some paid :D for animations id also recommend Grruzam (also in the asset store) mage model is UE4's mannequin and the dummy is from ♥RUBFISH♥ in gumroad :)

    This may be the best VFX video I have seen. Inspiring. (Favourite is ice without the projectile 1:27, that sudden ice statue after charging then pointing to the dummy ftw, would be perfect if you were to add that 1:36 part of frozen impact particles + smoke) I have some constructive feedback: 1. For water splash, it shouldnt do like 3 waves on impact, but only 1 like the other water projectiles 2. Fire projectile has way too big impact. Its so small, yet its impact fire is like 3 times its size, its illogical and breaks immersion. 3. Lighting distortion is too heavy/strong, needs some toning down as currently it is like an energy shield pops up lol (its like impact frames, which you did good to reduce :) 4. For air to feel good, needs collision/pushing

    The evolution of each of the elements over time, as you added simple things like distortion, or lingering graphics, damage cones, and the like really show how the layering of the effects transforms how impactful the event feels. I think it would actually be a great way to illustrate how versed a character is in that element. You may have worked through these to a 'final' feel that you wanted, but the intermediate steps before it have some use too. In TLA, Aang isn't perfect with these at first, neither is Katara. Katara actually just barely manages some splashes initially. The character moves don't quite have the quality of the different elements; with earth being more jolting and rigid, air being ...I don't know...aloof (here it feels too aggressive and tight), and water being flowing. But that takes a lot of animation work to capture. The fire character animations are the closest, because generally the style there almost feels like you're "punching out" the element from your fists or feet.

    Could you implement an open ocio lut as a shader? I use Linear values for film vfx. If my sprites were 16k Lin images could a shader act as a 2D lut on the whole screen?
