All right, being from Holland I don't have any illusions about being objective in this :). But if you ask me , It starts of with 2 very dubious decisions against the two Dutch fighters. I love Sefo, but I don't see any reason for him to have the upper hand against Aerts (I think even an extra round would have been a lucky decision for Sefo) and I think the ref ended the fight between Hoost and Sapp way to soon. Did anyone think Hoost looked like he was to hurt or shook up enough to continue the fight? Hee looked sharp as a knive. Sapp on the other hand looked like he just fought a war and was about to collapse. BTW, I read comments about Sapp being the end of K1. And I get where it's coming from. But figures like him, the fact that people from every background could compete, is also precisely what made k1, in my opinion. But amazing watching this stuff back after all these years. Thanks for the upload!
Who else was watching on Eurosport? Bonjasky was my favorite fighter back then. I dearly enjoyed his 2003/2004 run. Abidi was my favorite "underdog" to root for.

Who remembers all the Musashi robberies? I dearly enjoyed when Bonjasky, who was my favorite fighter anyways, beat him both times in the finals. One time Musashi didn't even had to fight in the Final 16 and was qualified for the Final GP automatically. And in one of the two finals the gave him 2 extra rounds.

This shit has the most baki vibe i've seen
1:08:53 horrible sound
musashi was an embarassing joke for japan clearly being held up and dishonestly getting ahead
Anyone know the name of the song / theme that is played during the breaks?

worst k-1 ever.
Such a brilliant display, beautiful
Legendary back when life was human
Hoost was lucky Lebanner broke his arm that day .
tranen van goud
K1 finals in Japan where the modern Gladiators. The atmosphere was amazing as well.
The Japanese judges were a complete disgrace in this tournament.

Andy Hug forever!

Man, the Botha vs. Abidi fight was such ass.
Gott hab ihn selig.
Peter Aerts is a great fighter!
Poor Ray was suffering that day trying to take the attention away from his left leg by showboating 😂 Ray Showboat Sefo still an absolute beast 💪
Peter can't help but give Andy a Hug 😂

The first highlight is Hoost knocking out Maurice Smith, who went on to beat Mark Coleman for the UFC Heavyweight title.

Everybody gives the hometown hero extra allowances and better scores on decisions.
