Surprise! There’s a 3rd adjuster. Also, on the FZ/MTs, there’s one out of the three adjusters that’s painted white which is synced to the ECU, which should NOT be adjusted, but rather used as the setting for your other two adjusters.

I’m new to the motorcycle world so I might be wrong but i don’t see the purpose of tuning after installing an aftermarket exhaust. I see that the MT-07 has an 02 sensor. The ECM gets the input from the 02 sensor and makes fuel adjustments depending on the reading. Well at least that’s how it works on fuel injected cars.

Hey Brad, I got an MT07 second hand that has the carbon akra exhaust but the DB killer has been removed. Can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back installed. If I work backwards to get the muffler off, do I need to loosen the header bolts? Or can I just take off the muffler bolt and be good?

there was a piece missing between the 2 seats. i was having trouble bolting mine back so i put some zip tides. the bike was running rough. i though it needed a tune up but it has mouse food in the air filter.

Thanks a lot for the detailed video. I did get the coils out with a small rope loop around their connector pulling from the top with one hand and the other doing small rotations from the side.

The bikes computer will self adjust, no need for a tune, those plugs looked just fine.

When you are uploading the new map, does the bike have to be turned off?

$1700?! WTF? For that kind of money I think there are better choices out there for sure. I'd try just removing the baffle first. That's just stupid money for an after market system.

Thanks for posting this, I'm making a custom backrest for the bike and realized I needed to get the light out. I'm actually mounting it on the two main bolt holes that hold in the light onto the frame. This video gave me everything I needed to know! =)

Hey B-Rad, do know if the process is pretty much for the same for a 2024 mt 07 ?

I did both 🤦🏻‍♂️. First I went pc 5 and the ots tune was ok. But everyone in the mt07 community will roast you to death telling you a flash is way way better ect. So I got talked into sending mine to 2wdw. So now I have a pc5 sitting around for no reason….

I noticed on my stock r7 that there are tons of pops and crackles on decels. Of course it is incredibly muffled and very subtle, but you can definitely hear it, especially after downshifting. The bike runs lean from factory.

My workshop changed my spark plugs at 10k last year.. feeled like scam bc yamaha manual says just at 20k. I have a MT07 2021. But it was propaply due who knows haha. Next time I will do it by myself.

Do not torque it to 32ft pound, the manual has a mistake in it, tons of people have stripped the threads using that torque value and had to replace the oil pan. 17-20ft pound is plenty of force.

I am ordering the power commander 6 for my 2022 MT-07. I am adding a Yoshimura R77 exhaust. Installation should be the same as for your 2021, I would think. Will this unit come preprogrammed enough to overcome the factory setting for running lean?? Great video and thanks.
