I think why people are arguing about Prime & the Movies, comes down to 2 problems, 1. Prime has been considered canon by Ian & the show's writers & 2. The Movies are supposed to represent the games to the public, and since track-records of canonicity & outward perception have been all over the place, fans have become protective over both & their portrayals. I personally like both adaptations even when they don't represent the franchise 100%. I do have a more critical eye on Prime, just due to the fact I don't like the "Sonic has to learn about being a good friend" thing, that feels like it's been done too many times, doesn't bring much to the table to make it different from other interpretations/adaptations, or even feel like it accomplished what the show set out for itself. However despite my problems, I still enjoyed the show overall. I think the adaptations are interesting, but I see why fans fight so much over it, the franchise felt like it's only starting to get back to where Sonic Generations left off quality-wise. Something not new to this franchise.

Game Sonic is never clumsy and dorky like Prime and Live action. Unlike Prime, game sonic isnt treated like the class clown who always gets the class in trouble. The literal reaction to Sonics appearance to his friends is basically "Oh no its Sonic, what is he gunna break now" Dont even get me STARTED on how Shadow views him. That tells me the viewer, that Sonic isnt a character that is reliable. That tells me this character is annoying, a trouble maker and one that is not a hinderance. That is not Sonic. Not only did you change his personality with these flaws that dont seem to alleviate and change him for the better, you changed how the OTHER characters see him, which goes to show how Sonic is in their eyes. Not heroic, not cool, not a foil to Shadows serious approach to his competence. Just a fool Live Action Sonic is just...overly silly with non of the charming wit and patience that Sonic displays even in the older animated shows. Hes like Daffy Duck in the live action films. Just annoying whenever he isnt moping about be a hero. No matter how "inconsistent" Sonic maybe in the games, he still has that whimsical swagger about him. The finesse when hes using his speed, and the confidence/cocky attitude that makes you want to be this guys friend, or talk shit to his enemies. Either way itll all feel good. IDW Sonic does a great job at this so far from what Ive seen. My question is though, how is Sonic a supposed "Static character" ......inconsistent. Inconsistent implies change that isnt the same as another instance of the subject in discussion. The reason for the "True Sonic" comment is because we should have a vivid general image and feeling about a character so that no matter the adaptation and interpretation the image is clear on how the character should be. A reckless, at times careless, silly Sonic is not Sonic in the YEARS of games and other media. People will say that "this will introduce Sonic to a younger audience" well now you are just showing a different Sonic. You are marketing it as the TRUE Sonic. Its like how people see Superman now, where Injustice gave this idea for people that Superman is only a good character when hes pissed off and killing people instead of being a symbol of hope.

It is a shame that Sonic Smackdown does heavily rely on fighting game references for the majority of the moveset without doing a lot to "sonic-fy" them, as i think using the reference is not necessarily a bad thing.........if they're used as a template (some moves like sonic's Light Speed Dash is nice, but i wish there was more stuff like that) Comparing this to Idol Showdown, a 2D fighting game fan game for the vtuber group Hololive, like yeah that game also uses fighting game tropes and homages, but at least they try to theme it around injokes/stream moments to make said references less obvious (Ex. Korone's whole moveset is basically Ryu (or just a lot of shoto characters in general), but stuff like Korone's Tatsu (or in this case, her chainsaw move) is a lot faster and have a bit more forward force motion than Ryu's Usual Tatsu Move, so it's different enough for you to not notice at first)

As much as I like WoW, the way they fumbled Aisha's character can't be understated. A lot people focus on the whitewashing (and rightfully so) but I think this is the first time I've seen someone point out the flanderization of her personality which led to some negative stereotypes. On a much lighter note, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the chemistry between Bloom and Jim.

This was my favorite movie of the entire year!! I legit started tearing up and crying watching it. Everything I ever wished for in a movie came true🍿 I grew up watching sonic underground when I was a baby and now that I'm older seeing them on the big screen was amazing. Cause in my opinion, you know a season is bad when you think that the twist villain, who despite having ulterior motives is the person thats talking the most common sense when it came to trusting and forgiving the queen.

Imo, WOW is a lot better than the original Winx Club honestly. I like the art style way more (S8 should take notes), the characters feel like characters and not like mindless zombies led on by the writers. I think those excessive personality traits the girls have are for ‘entertaining the audience’ in the WOW show, but when they on a mission my girlies be dead serious. Also, THANK GOD to the person/people who decided not to add the specialists and try to focus on other stuff like the plot, characters, transformation sequences…and not basic never ending love drama that engulfs the whole purpose of the show’s plot (personally, I would’ve added Riven to the show as a non canon character that doesn’t have anything to do with Musa, and have him fight and argue with Aisha because of her short temper💀). Dreamix and Onyrix are GORGEOUS OML- ! Onyrix is by far my favorite transformation with Tecna and Bloom have the best look in my opinion (the others and fine too ig). Overall, we need more seasons…

Ironiclly, I prefer s2, it feels funnier for me, and the Nemesis are iconic. Respect to the OG season, I think it's perfetcly okay bring more mature themes, tha way that It was executed was decent in the major part. Definitivelly better then s7 at least. Respect to animation in season 5-7, the characters don't look good at all, but I honestlly prefer the effects used in that seasons. I mean, Stormy's tornados look so good with the new animation, Bloom's fire, Icy's snow. Meanwhile, in the OG season looks like... trash

I like that you are talking about WOW since as a kid and as I get older and rewatched , it was pretty entertaining, I will say I enjoyed the first season more than the second, I’m gonna be honest if we combine the two seasons into one whole season, I say it’s on par with season 5 , where the first half decently well written and enjoyable, while the second half was lacking but had some positives to it

Ive been saying World of Winx is not as bad as people say it is and will always be my hot take. Yes the Whitewashing sucks, yes the fairy cotour artstyle did made the base designs of the Winx too identical and of course lack of explanation of what kind of plot/show are we watching. But honestly I think it's the best of recent Winx media post Seasons 1-4. I rather watch WOW than Seasons 5-8 since they decided to age the girls and live an adult life plus remember Roxy exists in Season 1 of WOW. And don't get me started on Fate. Overall WOW at least deserves another season or two to see if there are improvements. I look at World of Winx the same way as MLP Equestria Girls. Controversial in some areas yes but still has good things that still makes it enjoyable.

World of Winx came out at a not so great time for the Winx franchise.After the mess that were seasons 6 and 7 I didn't know what to except from it. But I've got to say that it was miles better than seasons 6-8 and maybe even 5(the second half).There are still some things I wish WOW could've done better such as more individualised fashions and transformations,giving Roxy a more major role and of course the whitewashing! The fact that Netflix cancelled it and left us in a cliffhanger is sad because I would've rather had the 3rd season than the 8th season. I found this video quite enjoyable and I'm looking forward to more Winx content from you 😄

World of Winx came during Rainbow S.R.L's financial troubles following the massive failures that were Mystery of the abyss and gladiators of Rome Winx club had it's budget substantially dropped which is why we never got actual full transformations for Butterflix, Tynix, Dreamix, and Onyrix compared to the nick era seasons world of Winx most likely had a much bigger budget but because it was on Netflix many countries either didn't get the accompanied merchandise Witty released it was ultimately a financial failure in rainbows eyes.
