GSX 1300R Hayabusa Starter Problem????
See I adjusted the chain on my gen 2 the other day for the first time and only have an ABBA stand so did mine old school on the side stand with wheel in the floor obviously utilising the compression associated with the bike .. My axel nut is on the right side btw ... Adjustment I like to get absolutely spot on but used the markers on the swing arm this time and for a change they are pretty much on the nail... Tightened to spec torque settings of 100nm which to the hand felt spot on also ... New bike to me and the chain and sprockets in top condition so no need to go and empty my beer money jar yet...
@@WEGGYZZR 👍now go out and have fun wearing it loose again👌
Racing grease, must get that for my bike 😎nicely done mate.
Well it is a K5 GSXR 1000 at its heart👌
A little tip in the future if you have something that doesn't move and has been there for years and something that does move, it's normally the thing that does move.🤦♂️ That's the problem 🤣
@@blackdotkiller1 sooooooo are you saying I shouldn’t move or that I’m the problem 🤔 🤣
Nice easy fix 👌
Definitely. . . thankfully 😅
@@bikerantics5001 I do like an easy fix myself lol
@BMCMOTOUK they should be the only fixes ever needed 🙏
@@bikerantics5001 absolutely agree 👍

Thanks for reminding me to clean up and re-grease my gear lever! I have some moly grease that I've heard is used on Rossi's bog seat hinges. If it's good enough for him.....🤣🤣
No problem 🫡 ‘Bog Seat Rossi moly’ sounds perfect 🤣
mechanic, no, probably more manic 🤭 don't go denting things 🤣 Nurse nurse, he's out of bed again
It’s okay I’m back in bed now . . . Covid strikes again 🙄
Keep taking the pills mate 😷🥴@bikerantics5001
Aye they couldn't shake you off on their sports bikes lol some near misses too
The mighty V-Strom 650👌😂
Half a horse
@@michaeltaylor8835 probably. . . might have been half a large pony🤷♂️
I checked my bible and couldn't find anything regarding the chain on a Hayabusa. 🤣
@@MRTPR was it the Old Testament or the New testament ?
You are not the first to be suspicious of the manual's assertion that the left side should be adjusted 540 degrees after the right. Perhaps the manual is in error?
Been out on the bike well when it's not raining. WHAT me, well 58 I'm 68 so if you look at it you have at least 10 more years of riding!
Some days it doesn’t feel like it, hopefully you’re right . . . with a minimum of ten years not a maximum 🙏
Old and boring join the club he said riding the mighty bus’a
Mighty old and mighty boring and definitely riding a mighty Busa🫡
Belated Happy birthday
Thanks very much 🫡
58 is that all you young lad soon you will catch me up 😊
I’m okay, cheers, I’ve absolutely no desire to catch you up, I’ll just stay tucked into your slip-stream👌.
They got your number plate
@@michaeltaylor8835 You little wind-up merchant. . . I just checked and the plate is still on the bike 😮💨
The police are just after a picture of your bike to hang on their wall they've heard how beautiful it is 🤣
It is the most gorgeous looking machine ever created 🤷♂️
Would anyone be willing to post a quick video of where the hoses actually go that split off of the “Y” adapter. I’m kind of confused on if they go from the air box to the adapter and connect to the petcock vacuum or what. Any and all help would be appreciated. My 1997 gsxr 600 was actually capped off on both sides of the air box and doesn’t seem to run right. From 3rd gear on up into the higher gears you just cant gain speed and it has super low rpms even after revving it up high its next to impossible to gain speed. It will run fine 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd gear for the most but any gear higher than that is trouble.
@@DaevianNeal Hi, sorry can’t help with a video as I sold this bike a few years ago. Just goggle gsxr 600 vacuum pipes and you’ll find plenty of images to help👌

Hello B.A. , I notice your lock nut is on the wrong side, according to the workshop manual, mines is on the otherside. I lift my bike on my Abbastand at the swing arm and adjust the chain, 20mm to 30mm I am going to double check my workshop manual but sure it didn't make any fuss of the bike being supported with its weight on a paddock stand. Bike down on the ground it's absolutely fine. Use your torque wrench Sir 100nm, always best. 👍
Hi, I’m gonna do a video about this comment soon 👍
I would think they’ recommend the paddock stand for safety reasons I can’t see any difference in swing arm travel ether 👍
It weird that it’s the same bike just different generations 🤷♂️.
I said black before you said it so obvs yes.
Obviously 🤣
For the tightness on my rear spindle, I usually tighten it VFT if that helps and it’s never come loose 🤘
I used to but couldn’t afford to replace all the wheel bearings more often🙄🤣
I did this with my bandit 1250, overtightened without torque wrench, gubbed the thread realised 100nm is less than I thought. And yes I also had chain tightness carry on too
@@bizman185 isn’t the chain tightening itself fun🤬 😂
You can get carbon fibre cover for fount hangers it sticks on, paint will wear of with your boots.
I don’t really like the carbon fibre look and I was thinking of getting them powder coated, not a quick rattle can job by me😂
Nurse nurse he's out of bed again, and now he's been reading books 📚 🤦♂️🤣
. . . and still he knows nothing🤷♂️
All's well that ends well!

Good job, yuu made that look really simple actually 😀..so when the balls said EBC recommended copper slip, he may have been telling porkies?!..shock horror lol..good luck on the MOT mate, if she passes, you can treat the missus to a new toothbrush 😆 atb mate, Mark 👍

I have pliers to turn the pistons around for cleaning and I was told to use the cement floor on the pads in a figure 8 to take the sheen off Biker.

So if I’m right the solenoids won’t work if this whose isn’t connected I’ve mimicked the set up until the new part arrives I guess I’m just hoping this is the solution and not the solenoids itself ? Any thoughts I’m happy to learn fam
I’d See how your temporary fix works, if it’s not that I’d check the rest of the vacuum pipes and the intake manifold boots. Then I’d check for possible dodgy electrical connections and broken wires🤷♂️. Good luck🤞
