I love the part where you equate overconsumption to the feeling of lack or not having enough … I had never thought of it that way and yet I immediately understood it. I have always been surrounded by people who constantly craved things and from childhood I shrunk away from it as a result. It is only now that I am considerably older I recognize that my fewer possessions still bring me so much more happiness and joy because they make me feel satisfied - filled rather than empty. I always have enough! … I love that you are still sharing your perspective because I appreciate it!

Hi Hanna, I really enjoy your videos! I am a RUclipsr myself and it seems like we have very similar approaches! One thing I noticed is that you sometimes mention that you have to bring two chargers. There is 2 in 1 chargers that are very small yet have enough power to charge your laptop and your phone! It sound like a detail but it really helps me out while packing. Sending love 🧡

Fun video! Definitely look at stain remover in the future and a de-pillar which are relatively inexpensive. It will keep the life longer. Also, maybe you're not into mending, but that also helps. I'd also suggest before throwing them into the garbage, see if there's a way to toss fabric to then be reused into new garments, I know this exists online, but sometimes locally. It will just allow companies to purchase garments than keep it in the landfill.

I’ve been getting into the underconsumption trend lately and started getting rid of my expired products and those that I don’t use. I don’t have much makeup that isn’t used daily, except eyeshadows! (I use eyeshadow for outings, causal and fancy).

Sunglasses give me a headache too, you are not alone!! I wish they worked for me, but I just hate wearing them SO MUCH. They also mess up my makeup, which is a minor reason, but combine that with always getting a headache after wearing them, there's no point.

Thank you for including the “change of taste or aesthetic” category. I have learned the hard way that I have a tendency to buy clothing for the wrong reasons: “I saw it on Instagram,” “it was cheap,” or even buying for my “fantasy self.” (Like buying cowboy boots on a trip to Texas). I have ended up throwing out so many items for this reason when in hindsight, I could have avoided all of the decluttering if I was more intentional in my purchases. I have gotten much better, but still have room for improvement.😮

I have 10 jackets but mostly wear 5 . I’ve had my main jacket for 15 yearsssss. It’s super comfortable. You have really nice jackets. It only gets cold here 2.5-3 months a year I prob can down size my jackets now that I think about it.

I got into minimalist living several years ago when my kids were adolescents. Then I had two more babies, and the level of attention my systems require is too high. I declutter, but a lot has crept back in. I feel frustrated sometimes, but I am glad not to be swamped by the things I have minimized..

I keep a picture of my parents in my wallet. Every time I want to waste money, I think about them…and how I want to save and buy a house for them to retire in. Their bodies are wearing out. Will I choose them? Or some junk?

This is gonna sound psycho but when I read magazines I cut out all the stuff I like , make a collage out of it, and I SOMEHOW feel like I possess the item without actually buying/possessing it… it’s actually fun! Lol

My problem is that I still need those specific items that fill the purpose (for example an outfit for an event that's dressed up or the perfect jeans) and I am ordering clothes every 3 months (I was at a point where it was every month multiple packages lol) tho try and find those perfect items to fill my gaps (also like really warm winter boots, fall boots, event shoes etc.) but I'm never really happy with what I've ordered so I always end up sending everything back and have the feeling of stress to finally fill those gaps and be done with constantly searching for them😮‍💨 I'm even considering getting a personal stylist so she can go find those items for me because it takes up so much of my time and stress. Any tips for me, anyone?

I can see how this rule can be so helpful, I have been implementing a bit of a system in my kitchen, because I notice things pile up very easily in this area, so I am making an effort to have things that serve multiple purposes and try to not bring new things unless I really have to. My husband and I also love to host, so we decided to create the party box where we can keep some special plates or decorations to host people over, but we want to keep it within the limit of the party box 📦 by the way you look so gorgeous on this video Hanna 🤩🤩🤩 I am catching up on this last 4 videos you have upload, really your content is the best 🩷 my husband and I are back in the PNW and it are so happy to be back here.
