      I’ll give you a response even though you don’t deserve it as a nasty ignorant troll. “Everyone wants to believe”. Incorrect, I don’t have official statistics but I’d guess most people would be sceptical. “Ad revenue tit”. I get no ad revenue. “What makes you think it’s ok to talk about something like this?” Free speech. Will you write to the hundreds of newspapers and TV channels that produces articles and programmes too? Ridiculous comment. “You probably didn’t even believe in the first place” Given it happened in 1979 and I wasn’t born yet, funnily enough no. “Why now”. Why not? “STFU”. Don’t think so. “Dick” I think that’s you. An online troll who’s brave behind their keyboard. You don’t have to like the video but seriously, get a life. Sending out insults online. • @martinsodyssey

      I must admit, I didn’t spent too much time in the village beyond driving through trying to find a suitable parking space and get some quick footage but at the time the Goblin Ha’ Hotel appeared out of business giving slight ghost town vibes. I think it would be a perfect setting for a rural Scottish “Shaun of Dead” come “Hot Fuzz” script. The thing that threw me the most was the only signage for the Castle itself was negative signage, “no access to castle from here”, or “no parking for castle here”, but never a sign for where to park or which direction to go. It felt very uninviting, given I failed to actually find the castle on my first attempt, circling the woods semi-lost, I did feel like someone didn’t want me there! And despite not actually meeting many locals, I got an unwanted vibe from the locals! But it’s a truly atmospheric place, I felt like I was being watched the whole time. Probably the folklore surrounding it plays on your mind. Absolutely agree beautiful and eerie! Thanks for the comment ✌️

    Hi Martin not trying to be obtuse however not everyone was clinically insane in Bangour hospital. It facilitated support for many different mental health issues and in the 80's was there to support people with agoraphobia, panic attacks etc. I have seen quite a few spiritual entities who looked just like you or me until they vanished. I have also see a UFO in Calderglen Country park just a couple of years ago. Life is full of magic 🙂

    • @martinsodyssey
      @martinsodyssey 24 дня назад

      Thanks for the comment! Not at all, valid point, although not sure I specifically said everyone in Bangour was clinically insane, but my intent was just to allude to the possibility of those being considered dangerous and insane would/could/should be in Bangour and therefore could be a stones throw away from the incident. In another video on Hartwood Hospital, I do touch on that even in institutes labelled “insane asylums” that many people weren’t insane and that the criteria in the past is almost “laughable” by todays standards. I’m a cynic but an open minded one. I’ve certainly seen and felt my fair share of unexplained moments but my logical mind always does its best to try and explain it… but I certainly don’t always have the answers! Many mysteries in life. Great comment, thanks for entertaining my video 😃✌️

    • @brendamacdonald2928
      @brendamacdonald2928 24 дня назад

      I trained as an archaeologist so "everything in context" is vital. The evidence is in the ground. We have the expertise nowadays to examine that ground and have the answers. So why does nobody have the answers. I believe he was telling the truth. It's interesting; the post war theory. I would argue that his experience of seeing machinery like tanks and mines gave him a way of describing what he saw in a way maybe you or I would describe differently depending on our experiences. It makes sense that UFO's could have some similar features to our military planes or ships or tanks. Anyway it's all about the facts. The unidentified object I saw: there was no logic, it appeared above me then in a flash it had travelled a great distance away from me like no aircraft I know of. It was a tiny little circle in secs in the horizon. It was spherical, silver, hovered, no sound. Looked a bit like a motorbike headlamp at first, however I realised the sun was reflecting off it's silver body. People with scientific minds quite often cannot find the logic in the unexplained. There is an explanation for everything. Like your artwork I saw. As an artist myself I appreciate recording moments in time. That little piece of art will take you right back. It's good to think about things like what happened here; sometimes things are just as they seem. Thanks for getting the old brain working 🙂

    • @martinsodyssey
      @martinsodyssey 24 дня назад

      Absolutely, got to keep testing the old brain to keep the lights on! Did you use the archeological training much in life? That’s something I’d have loved to have thought of training for when I was younger, something I didn’t know I was interested in - imagine travelling the world digging up history when you were young and free. What a life that could’ve been. I love that you’ve tried to explain that UFO moment, a bit like motorbike lights, maybe the lack of noise simply meant it was a bicycle on route? Amazing how light can deceive you with the way it “dances.” I often walk the dog in the pitch dark through the woodland behind me and I remember watching a very unnatural light coming towards me it looked like it was moving incredibly fast due to its awkward side to side motion, almost like a sparkler being waved through the air but it never seemed to actually move towards me, my brain just couldn’t translate what it was. Eventually after what felt like too long to reach it, as it never looked quite so far away, I did, and it was simply a very very slow and tall runner with a head torch and a very odd running gait. Startled me when he suddenly appeared beside me. I’ve seen a thousand runners in the dark, never one that moved like that. Had he moved away from me rather than towards I’d have forever thought it was strange activity but it was the simplest answer that was the right one. But before it was explained the moment felt “strange”, visually it was weird, it was eerily quiet and the air felt cold, the same sort of sensation I typically get when i don’t get an explanation for something. In my experience you can feel a presence even when there is good rationale to explain it. So a feeling alone and no explanation, in my opinion, isn’t enough. I like facts and logic but like I say I have an open mind. One of my favourite moments caught on camera, is on my Blackness Castle video, they have a room set up for a game of hoopla and as I threw my only successful hoop an orb led it into place perfectly. I love the idea that it was a playful spirit but it probably could be explained with light reflecting into the camera or similar… but that’s boring, some moments are best left unexplained. I agree with your point on the post war trauma theory, explaining/comparing something to something familiar is something we all do. 😃

    • @brendamacdonald2928
      @brendamacdonald2928 23 дня назад

      @@martinsodyssey you almost wrote a book there 😂. Very poetical too. Ahhh now then there is no doubt in my mind what I saw. It was a beautiful sunny evening. The object that appeared looked like a plastic bag being carried upwards and onwards on the breeze. I noticed several other people taking notice of it as it was unusually high and there wasn't really a breeze strong enough to expel a force to lift it in that way. Plus, it was just too high. Seconds later it appeared above me to the left. It hovered then moved slightly to the right but was still to my left. I could have cupped my hands round it's shape just like you would do with the sun in the sky; it felt much closer than anything I have seen in the sky. It wasn't a drone. It had changed shape from a flexible plastic bag type shape to a complete 3d sphere. It tilted as if an eye looking at me. I called to my friend to look and in that moment it shot off only to disappear about a mile away. I could see it moving at a speed not known to me. It eventually was a tiny dot in seconds or even a split second. I have no doubt that I saw an object not recognisable to me. There is no trick of the eye or logical explanation other than there was an unidentified object that noticed me as much as I noticed it. I hope one day you actually see something which you have no doubt in your mind. When you do it will be engrained in your mind. I actually have seen many different unusual things through my life. That was the most significant though. You may find that these moments are intertwined with other events about to happen, maybe like a warning. So nothing is random. It's all synchronised. I tell folk and they think I'm nuts but I think their nuts for not believing in the unknown or perhaps they are just too scared. I trained as an archaeologist in 2012 so I only did a short stint with a company for a few weeks since that training as I got my dog and don't separate from him often. Amazing. Wished I had done it when a youth. It's hard labour as you can imagine but tremendously exciting. It's never too late to do it.

    • @martinsodyssey
      @martinsodyssey 22 дня назад

      @@brendamacdonald2928 ah yeah, I like to write and am no doubt on the spectrum, even if just a little, so tend to write till I’m finished 🤪and your/our chat interested me! Interestingly one other theory for Robert Taylor that I felt was one too many was military testing of drones and planes. I do believe there is lots of man made things that the public aren’t aware of and could answer many UFO sightings. But sure, there could be other worldly things, the universe is vast enough for it to be at least possible! But a UFO is exactly that, something you can’t identify - whether man or other made. Maybe I’ve already seen something, but for better or worse, I think my mindset will always look for a “viable” answer no matter how weird or unusual. ✌️

    I thought this was a very open minded and interesting video which puts forward a few more plausible explanations of a down to earth nature. However my favourite explanation is that of mistaken identity whereby Robert Taylor experienced a mini stroke whilst in the vicinity of a nearby dome shaped building that up until a couple of years ago existed in Dechmont woods and was used to store fresh water. I made a short video abut it here:- ruclips.net/video/hgtWwLiUTSc/видео.htmlsi=gbsCAcsRVaqN26cP

    • @phillfenton
      @phillfenton Месяц назад

      It's only a hundred yards or so away, but the biggest problem is its on the otgerside of the motorway. I believe the location was incorrectly identified when Robert Taylor was sent to bsngour hospital for a check up while his boss went to investigate. The mini stroke I believe he suffered affected his recollection of the location. The mini stroke hypotheseis also explains his symptoms such as inability to walk or speak

      Hahaha I’d love to tell you it’s intended but it’s probably more because I haven’t quite found my style yet and experimenting with technique! My secret is out 🫣 Thanks for always finding the time to comment, I appreciate it a lot! Have a great day! ✌️

    Allora, Italy what a place! Here’s a little painting I did of Rome. I’m still a relative beginner of watercolour painting, so I’m trying to paint a very quick one (almost) every day. This one took about 30mins in my lunch break… what do you think?

    that man gained nothing from this,the opposite his life became a living hell as a result and he stuck to his story right to the end think about cases like Travis Walton,Billy Meirs,Whitly Strieber for example who are celebrities in ufo land

      Very true, he never changed his story, I wonder what his wife’s opinion was after the initial interview. I never saw another interview or any follow up. I guess there’s a thin line from wanting to speak to the press and wanting privacy for most civilians.

      It’s a small world and a rather large universe. Who knows for sure what’s out there but Im happy to admit I’m a sceptic, an open minded one but being stood on that site gave me shivers, only Bob knows and we’ll never know for sure. Enjoy your visit, It’s an intriguing place and story and goes down in Scottish history.

    Like your stuff man But anton was my mates son I don't see the relevance to mention the wee guy In this tbh

      The relevance of Anton, for me is his sad story is ingrained in the local woodland, and from what I read his family want to spread his story, not have it forgotten and him have died in vain, and the message of “it’s okay to not be okay”, for me, any mention or reminder to men to talk and not keep it bottled up inside is an opportunity, something that Bob himself potentially may have felt. I personally find it very relevant. That’s why it’s in. Cheers for the comment ✌️
