    • @89G

      The EGR should come from the solenoids on the passenger strut tower. It should be green if it's original. The FPR is originally red, and I can't recall where I put mine, but any regular port on the intake will suffice for that. Does that answer your question? I want to be sure I'm understanding.

    I got a police Crown Vic aluminum driveshaft in mine. I still have the AOD until I put in the T5. The AOD has the damper ring like the one you used to plug your tail shaft. I had to buy a Spicer yoke because that ring interferes. Gear wrench is love for those driveshaft bolts. I was wondering why you were putting an aluminum driveshaft in since you had aluminum already. There is a rheostat dimmer switch (rotary) on the dash, just below the drivers cupholder in the dash. Make sure that is turned up. Please let me know if that answers your question.

    The little key looking thing is most likely a diagnostic jumper tool for older GM cars. It looks like something I used working for a Cadillac dealership back in the late 1980s. It’s a jumper tool that you plug into the diagnostic port under the dash to retrieve trouble codes. You jumper it across the A and B pins which will cause the check engine light to flash the code.

    Interesting test, thanks for sharing! Now that you mention it, it'd be great to see a PF style comparison of some of the electric fan kits. I accidentally bought one on clearance from LMR which I'm sure is not as good as the contours I originally wanted. I'd love to know the actual difference. Maybe also which one's CFM drops the least when against a radiator.

      @@89G I did the same to my 2010 Yaris yesterday. The manifold side was all gone along with the two nuts due to the corrosion and the two bolts smaller in two sizes. I had to temporarily use a self-made flange to put the joints together. Your video reminds me of first uninstalling the two hangers to loosen the middle part so as to put the gasket in place.

    I'm reaching out good, sir. Because I need to do the same on my 2011. I'm asking do you need anything to hold the motor up with a Jack? As long as you do it to 2 a time or use a Jack to hold the motor up if trying to do all 4 or do them in pairs cause i figured the other mounts hold it in place while changing them

    • @89G
      @89G Месяц назад

      @jsb2cute I've done it both ways. A jack with a 2X4 across the entire oil pan definitely makes it easier. Just remember you are supporting it, no need to lift it unless your jack bleeds off, of course. Thank you... great question!
