The vibes are legit!
Definitely not imported steel😂
Hahaha... this is definitely not Chinesium.
I would have drilled a hole thru it ~1/2" and put my heavy-duty screwdriver thru and knock backwards on the screwdriver or the clamp provided it is against the screwdriver. That gives a somewhat even pull. That indentation is hard to overcome. When I get too aggravated and the angle grind gets started-its over I'll cut it a new @ss and start over. My patience is not what it used to be.
LOL, I hear that on the patience. I really like that idea with the screwdriver. I have another exhaust job coming up on my F150. I'll need to remember that one! When I recorded this, I was doing all of this work to sell this Explorer for my parents. My 15 year old daughter has since decided that she wants it, so it's sticking around.
This was the coolest song you could have picked. nicely done
@cheezyridr thank you very much! I thought it was very fitting. Glad you liked it!
Other youtube channels are also saying these are bad,the glue is terrible.
@@tardeliesmagic I keep wondering if I should go buy another one just to see if they've cleaned up the process... maybe they haven't then. It's too bad. They're losing business.
I switched exclusively to Wix for the very same reasons. Also FYI NGKRAP is making plugs now for Motorcraft. Not using them any longer either.
I knew NGK was making them for the Ecoboost... are they making them all now? I've had bad luck with their plugs on my Toyota. Never ran them on any of my Ford's.
@89G as far as I know they are making them all. I have switch to Champ or Autolite
@anthonylatronica5108 I've got a small stash of old school Motorcraft plugs. I guess I better cherish those! I've been using Denso's in my Toyota and my 89 Mustang has them as well. Thank you for the info
Better you than us! This process looks miserable - but you got it done!
@autofluencer Thank you Autofluencer Team!
Why can’t people make easy videos like this! Thank you!
Thank you!! I appreciate it.
That's not true! Even if its just adding a key locksmith still program the keys remotes into the system. No cloning here jobs are done right.
@ALLPROLOCKSMITH not the people I've called. That's good if you do it correctly.
The 910S for my 2009 CVPI I noticed got crappy and I now use WIX myself 👍
Do you recall the time frame? I had so many that I had purchased ahead of time, that I'm unsure of the timeline that they actually went to crap on us. Thank you!
That took a great deal of patience in your part! The good thing is that the angrier you got the more effective the hammering becomes 😅😎 nice equation! Glad you won in the end
@MrBlitzkrieg1987 lol... weird how that works. The madder you get, the harder you swing! Thanks for stopping by, my friend. Ill be having some questions for you soon, lol.
So I'm similar to you when it comes to these oil filters. One of them I like is Luber Finer. they have the e core design, but I've started using metal end caps on them. Occasionally I find some inconsistent pleat spacing, but overall, it's decent for a standard filter. I like the Wix XP, Purolator boss, and Fram ultra, but.. some use louvers instead of drilled holes in the center tube, and I'm not a fan of louvered cores.
@toneyfamily1398 great info! Is the inconsistency in pleats the pleat count? Or uneven spacing?
Thats some pretty impressive deformation from the clamp! I wouldve reciprocating sawed it off in rage right after the first heat. I dont have a lot of experience in this area to make any suggestions though.
It definitely was stuck on there good! The old reciprocating saw was ready to roll if needed, lol. If I weren't needing that pipe to stay in tact, the DeWalt would have been activated!
Hi, if i know im taking the muffler or exhaust pipe right off the car for good, i usually zip cut the pipe in 2 or 3 places around the pipe. It usually comes off fairly easy. Not really ideal if you want to use ut again though...
I like that idea.... basically relieving it in more than one area. I hope to have access to a lift soon, I also feel that would have helped. Thank you for the suggestion, my friend!!
If there are any other suggestions that you may have to make this an easier task, comment below and help your fellow shade tree mechanics. I do wish that I had acetylene, and a lift. I do know those two things would have helped. Thank you!!
Great video. Exactly what i wanted to see since I'll be doing this on my Grand Marquis driver. 🙌🏻
@waynestinyworld thank you my friend! I appreciate your feedback
@@89GAny time you want to do a simple rebuild video on this transmission I'll be ready to watch it. 😊
@@waynestinyworld I am hoping to make that a reality soon!
@@89GIn that case, don't skip any details. I can build an engine but i know nothing about transmission...lol
Does it works on free extended license?
I've never officially tried it myself, but I have been told that it does indeed work on the free trial extended license.
@@89G Thanks bro I will try again
@johnkimtv25 what adapter are you using? My Elm 327 couldn't do PATS. I had to get the VGate V-linker. The exact one I bought is in the video description. Thank you, and good luck!
do you think this will work on my 2014 mustang ? i only received 1 working key when i bought it. i also plan to do a cluster swap/upgrade and 2 programmed keys is required in able to do that.
It definitely will work for you. Thank you for stopping by!!!
thank you Sir this was a great relief. Bought the car at auction and only got one key! For anyone who doesn't have Forscan yet, get it!
Glad it helped you out! And yes... Forscan is a must!
I used motocraft filters for 40 years. Until last year I sent my filter into whipcity wrencher and he found all that glue in my filter.that was the last time. Unbelievable in thos day and age.
It's definitely unbelievable. Ford never did get back with me after I contacted them about it (surprise). Disappointing, to say the least!
Why replace the whole pump and not just the gasket?
Great question. The pump can also leak in other areas. There is a backing plate that will often leak as well. I think a lot of us would rather just be done with it and no it's all new. You can indeed just replace the gasket, however. I do not recommend using an o-ring though. That's why this one leaked so bad.
This is the gasket, if you wish to replace it only: amzn.to/40SK2gY
its is made by Flash Logic FLRSFO1 I found it for 79.99 same one
I just bought the Mazda Tribute for my 2010 Ford Escape. It should work all electronics are the same and the Mazda Tribute is made by Ford so it should work. that kit was cheaper 139.99 I will let you know if it works
I think you'll be fine. It's such an awesome upgrade!
But yes... please let me know!!
hi I didn't see you program the key or this is all you have to do❓
I am assuming that you mean for the buttons? If so, go to 11:03 in this video. Otherwise, the PATS procedure in FORScan does program the key to your vehicle. Thanks!
thank you
I went to the link that you provided but it doesn't take me to the Ford Escape I have the exact same one they do have a 2008 to 2012 Mazda Tribute and I think it's the same thing cuz it's the same car it has FO1 at the end like your kit can you copy the link that you got because I can't find it on their website at all the one that you provided
they have a 2008 to 2012 Mazda Tribute 1 for sale and that's the exact same car
That should work for you.
they don't even sell that on their website I looked everywhere what did you pay for it and what's the link cuz what you said there's nothing
Try their Ebay store. When I sent an inquiry, that is where they directed me. www.ebay.com/str/jsalarmsandcaraudio
Nice work Shane! Having that drain plug is a miracle, Ive never seen an automatic with it before 😎🤘.
Thank you, Luis! It makes it much easier to have that plug now!
Just for ho-hos, are you running a stone stock 302 with the addition of the explorer intake???
It has GT40P heads, and an E303 cam currently. Thanks!
Awesome vid.. exactly the review I was looking for, I just upgraded to bbk long tubes bbk xpipe and I bought these mufflers all on budget can’t wait to install and cruise..
I love these mufflers very much. I have MAC Flowpath's on my 89. It's very difficult to carry on a conversation in that car.... but Frankie's Flowmonster's are very reasonable. I really think you'll love them. I plan on putting a more rowdy cam in Frankie too, so I can't wait to hear that change.
Really useful video for changing any automatic transmission fluid, great job as always! I remember welding a bung into the pan on my old 91 4-cylinder mustang and I warped it so bad I couldn't get it to seal to the transmission and hold fluid anymore.🤣I should've gone with a screw-in style one, I think I even used flux-core wire.
Oh man... got 'er a little too hot? I did successfully patch a hole in a 4R70W pan with my Titanium MIG. By successful, I mean it didn't leak, lol. I was thinking of brazing one of these plug kits in on my spare pan... just as a little experiment.
@@89G yep, I had no idea what I was doing, still don't though tbf. Brazing is an interesting idea...
That's part of my motto... "I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'll give it hell"
This makes me miss my '87. Just realized, though, that I've had my' 95 for almost 20 years, now.
The time goes by fast! What are the details on the 95? I almost traded this one for a yellow 95 GT in 96. The dealer was trying to get the previous model year out the door.
@89G - Lots 'o mods: Vortech V2/SQ @10 psi and supporting mods, 400 RWHP. Stock bottom end, TFS U/L intake, Steeda #19 cam, Cobra brakes, Eibach suspension, Tokico shocks.... Like I said... Lots 'o mods. 😁 ruclips.net/video/0T6jxJhzRI8/видео.html
@@ashemoski LOL... I responded to that without realizing it was you, my friend! My bad. Yeah, you have an animal. Lot's of goodies. In fact, this 89 has bolts that were formerly on your car, doesn't it? (Valve covers)
@89G Ha! I believe so! And a couple of bumper cover rivets. (Or is that Frankie?)
@@ashemoski Ahhhh, yes! Those rivets are holding Frankie's front bumper cover on :)
It works best to let silicon set after finger tightening bolts for 1 hour then torque and don't crank up for 24hours.
That's a great tip.
Still holding up? I tried using my torque wrench and it fit but I thought it was feeling like to much torque so I just hand tightened hope I didn't under or over do it 😅
@sagegalley4350 yes it is. I'm sure doing it by feel was fine. 99% of what I do is by feel, lol.
@89G i am a heavy diesel tech so I do a lot of by hand as well just not when it's such a low torque spec I'd rather not strip it 😅
@sagegalley4350 I understand that! Head bolts, main bolts, bearings, etc.... I make those to spec. Most things I just go until it feels good.
Hi does the ventilation stands button. Middle button also has a bulb? Ac led gives light, but the ventilation stands do night light up at night. Hopefully someone knows this? Thank you!
@aswin6686 yes... I actually did a video on that one just a couple of weeks ago, let me know if you can't find it on my channel.
thinking about doing the same, but I already have a A/C delete pulley that would work great for the belt and replace the idler pulley you used
That's a nice idea... I may put AC back in it. It was brutal driving it in the summer, lol.
Oh wow, crazy!
How long does the silicone need to cure before oeprating? About to tackle this problem. Thanks
Sorry sir, I've been doing a water pump and timing job.... I use the Optimum, and I started it in 20 minutes. I appreciate you watching, and apologize for the late reply.
Just wanted to add... it's not under and pressure there, so I wasn't concerned about it setting up for long.
Yes - I love these restoration videos. Yes - color match it, keep it, and put it right up beside your other tool cabinets. @3:05 - is that a piece of soap stone, maybe? for marking metal? Hard to see from the angle and lighting. Just found your channel and digging the old school 5.0 in the intro 😎. My blood runs Ford Blue - just sayin' 👍👍.
Awesome! I have 2 Fox Body's, 2 Escapes, and an F150. I'm a Ford Blue blood guy as well. I might be bringing another one into the fold as well... I'm still deciding. Thank you for watching, glad to have you stop by! 🤜🤛
Yep. I've seen trailer wheels come up and over the conc median wall. No doubt about it that major highways are a danger. I had to brake hard years ago to avoid a 2x4 that was fliping end over end and would have speared my windshield had i not slowed enough. Scarry out there.
@leethomas9198 I'm lucky it didn't hit that barrier in the middle and bounce into my lane. That's about the time that I saw it, so there was no time to react.
I picked up an 820s from my dealer, one from Walmart, and one from Amazon, and I had issues with all 3. Couldn’t get a good seal and they leaked under higher pressure. The mobile one and Purolator boss have more threads and I’ve used both now with no leaking. Sadly I’ll have to stay away from motorcraft. The FoMoCo filter my truck came with from the factory was fantastic. Can’t find those
That's great info to add! Thank you for sharing your experience. I've only found the MC filters through dealers as well. Even Tasca only has MC.
I’m right there with you… I have had mine since April of 1996…28 years. It looks a lot like my car except it was always white. Was never two tone, just looks better all white I think
Right on! What year is yours? I can only see the pic in your avatar, but it looks good from that!
@ 1990, but back when parts were plentiful and cheap… I changed it to a non Airbag car by swapping the dash, dash frame, steering column, gauge cluster, havac controls, and front seats to a 1989. The car was repainted in 1999 when I added the cowl hood and original ford cobra bumper that I bought from ford dealership for $300 that was on the shelf that someone ordered and never picked it up
@ I seen that they were tearing you up about the taillights on Frankie…lol
@ it was just that one cat fixated on why I wanted the factory LX trim color, but painted it non-factory colors. He's the only dude that wasn't helpful. LOL.
@@89G that was me that asked if that was Frankie… lol. You replied sure is😂 I knew it was… I was like I know that car from somewhere
Nice, mine is making the same sound

how to order the numbers for a toyota camry 2001? 2.2L 4 cylinder?
From the front (where the pulleys are passenger side) it goes 1, 2, 3, 4. Thanks!
@ THANK YOU!
@sarah-w3k1l you are very welcome!
what order of numbers did you start from right to left?
It goes 1, 2, 3, 4 from L to R
Now I watched your video and I noticed you did this with a certain type of Scan tool one thing I didn't catch do I need the exact scan tool that You used an order to program my key or Will a regular Bluetooth ODB tool like I have already work the same?. For instance, I'm using veepeak. I am under the impression based on what you're saying is you need a device that is capable of doing ms/hs can function Or it will not work or you will not see the option for pats. From what I can tell the Bluetooth device I have does not have hs/ms can functionality
If you can see the PATS function with your adapter, it will work. If not, I put a link to the VGate Vlinker adapter in the video description. There is a short list of "verified" adapters, and the VGate is on that list of FORScan friendly adapters. It's also the most cost effective option that will auto switch MS/HS. Thanks for your question! Hopefully that answered it.... if not, let me know.
@89G yep! Yep I appreciate it. I ordered it. The one I seen just to be safe Now if only the set of keys I bought aren't damaged. Went to a regular hardware store. They charged me $2. They cut whatever key I brang into them no problem
@jaygee6983 awesome! I love getting a deal like that!
