I also speak 6 languages. I just stumbled along your video finding recognition in interest in languages. I am Dutch, my family is Frysian, so I grew up bilingual in Dutch and Frysian. Picked up reading Frysian because of my dad's old comic books that I /had/ to read because I wanted to! Then English I mostly learned from the subtitles on TV and internet, later university as most of my lectures were in English or Japanese. Which leads me to the fourth language, which I learned last, as I've studied Japanese language and culture. In highschool I had German and French. I still speak German on a daily basis as I live on the border and my work demands I speak German a lot. My French used to be a lot better, but, interesting fact: it deteriorated because of my learning of Japanese. French and Japanese syntaxis is surprisingly very similar! I had a catastrophe speaking to a Frenchman in the Alps as I started my sentences in French and ended them in Japanese. In 2022 I wanted to teach myself Russian, the cyrillic alphabet at least, but because they started that war, I immediately dropped that. I was angry and frustrated at Russia and did not want to 'honor' them by learning their alphabet. I still am, but I'm thinking of picking it back up. It's probably childish of me to drop such a thing because of that.. but hey.. there are more languages to be learnt! :3 - Hope you have a nice day!
Wow, that is quite impressive! What an achievement to speak so many diverse languages!!
Welcome back Kat!
Its a crappy situation. In the US , its so easy.
Hello, so 1000 euro for daycare, it s what you really pay after refunds from guvernment or, before? Thank you

Aqui no Brasil, 70% das bicicletas são Mountain Bike. Mas a minha bicicleta é semelhante às holandesas, muito mais confortável.
Now just make this an E-Bike!
There are bikes like these that are e-bikes!
@@katthinks would like to see you review one on your channel!

Het is echt slecht weer hier in nederland
Nice, programming! I'm an electronics student, we have to program often nowadays, but it always gives me the chills.
We have these as wel, also dutch
Fun to see, i dont have any of that stuff in house (well, except the windows that opens in the bathroom. But it is an older house. You forgot the HR++ glass and the (big) supply of toilet paper that should be present ;)
Hahaha true true
if i wanna stay in the netherlands for a certain amount of time, would i be able to exchange my drivers license once i go back to my home country ?
I believe that depends on your home country so I would suggest checking with local authorities there. For me as Canadian, it is possible to exchange back the Dutch driver's license.
Kibbeling for 2 euros? That will get you 2 bites
In my city, it is for 150 grams which I find is enough for my lunch! I live in a small city so the price might be cheaper 🤷♀️
Guess it depends where you are. For 2 euros I get lunch!
@@katthinks You forgot to count the price of the plastic bags :P. You have done well for under 10 euros. In the regulair supermarket it would cost more, all that stuff. Do you live in the northern or southern part of the Netherlands? I live in the northern, but kibbeling isn't that cheap here. But maybe very local.
I live in the South Holland! We have a couple of kibbeling stands so maybe that’s why the price is lower - because there is more competition!
Really helpful, Thanks
Sure you can have all of these things, when you have a house worth a milion. I live in the netherlands and I'm already really happy with all my philips hue lights.
My house does not cost a million 🙃 I find that most of these things are present in many Dutch houses (for example, I did not install any of these and they were done by the previous owner) especially more recent my built ones.
Bruh my dutch apartment has windows that might as well be curtains by how much air they let through. Also the curtains might as well not exist. Where in the Netherlands do you live for that good housing conditions?
Haha I used to have the same in the house where I lived before, it felt like it was made of cheese. But once I moved, my new place got these things!
Lol I have all of these things as well I’m also dutch
I think these things are really not common in the North America so that's why people find them surprising :)
My favorite country ❤
In my region in Ontario, Canada we just started installing these deep underground bins in our parks and one new development near me has these large cylinder bins for residents. However, I would love to see garbage day disappear. The poor breaks on waste trucks as they jerk as the truck pulls up 5-10 metres in front of each house. Also, that must horrible fuel efficiency! This system the Netherlands is much better.
So true! I loved the villages and towns outside of Woerden.
Small towns are the best!
I have a Thule front seat for my Gazelle bike in Ontario, Canada. Good to know about the weight limit. My daughter is about 12-13kg already. Unfortunately our foot straps are starting to break.
Where do you get at plastic shield for the front of your bike?
I got mine on Amazon but you can get them in any bike store in the Netherlands! They are very common as the Netherlands tend to get very windy!
@katthinksandcodes Dank je wel! I would love this for the chilly winters in Ontario, Canada. I will have to go to Amazon since I don't live in the Netherlands. However, my family and did enjoy our two-week stay there around Doetinchem and Woerden for work and visiting a friend. 😊 We of course explored Utrecht and Amsterdam too. And we couldn't forget the Gouda cheese market either.
We have a seat like that for our daughter that we have on our used Gazelle bike from the Netherlands 😊
Where are you originally from, Kat? And if it's not too personal, how old are you? You look so young and fresh, but alreafy have a baby and 5 years of working experiense, I truely admire you!!
I suppose towns like Hague and Amsterdam and that area are great for bikers/pedestrian commuters but pretty much everywhere else you need a car. If I need to get from Heerlen to Maastricht airport it's over an hour to commute, 20 minutes on a car, sometimes it's not even comparable! For me it's faster to use a regular bicycle and ride for an hour than commuting by public transport, yeah, it's that awful in Limburg.
I love you cuteee...
