Little Red Fishing

I am an aspiring bass angler with big dreams. My goal is to one day make the Bassmaster elite series. I currently live in southwest Ohio and fish the Ohio River and Brookville Lake most frequently. My goal this year is to fish as many bass tournaments as possible, gaining valuable experience. Making RUclips videos is not my end goal, but I understand in today's world social media is something future sponsors will likely require. Still, I try to put out the most entertaining videos possible and not click bait garbage. I film and edit everything on my own. Follow my journey as I learn how to become a professional angler.

BIG FINISH! Bass Fishing Tournament MLF BFL Ohio River, Rocky Point.
At stop #2 of the Hoosier division MLF BFL out of Rocky Point Ohio River, I had a great finish. I finished 3rd place in the boater division out of 103 boats. I had a decent pre-fish, spending 1 full day in deer creek and 1 full day in Millstone creek. This is the only time I have ever spent on this pool of the Ohio River. A few days prior to the tournament multiple days of rain lead to rising water and I was concerned the tournament would be postponed. It was not, but higher than normal water paired with my Xpress X21 bass boat allowed me to get further back into Millstone creek than is typical. On the day of the tournament my spinnerbait bite went away, and I had to make an adjustment an...

2ND PLACE! MLF BFL Hoosier Division Bass Fishing Tournament, Plus Recap!
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.4 месяца назад
The first stop of the MLF BFL Hoosier division tournaments was on Patoka Lake in Indiana. I had a big 2nd place finish to start the year. I weighed in 5 bass for 17 pounds 9 ounces on the only five keeper bites I had all day. My first and last bass came on a 3/8oz Chatterbait Jackhammer in green pumpkin gizzard color with a Rapala freeloader as a trailer. Bass 2-4 came on an Ike's flipping jig ...
First Bass Fishing Tournament of the YEAR! Caught Bass, Still LOST!?

Bass fishing tournament season is finally here. As promised, I'm filming all of it I can for anyone who wants to watch! The first tournament was on Brookville Lake in Indiana. My partner and I caught them really well on a few different baits. Moving baits were a Chatterbait(the new Chatterbait Evo is legit) and some flat sided crankbaits. When it came time to flip, we kept it simple with a brus...

Bass tournament fishing season is finally here! Here I go out pre-fishing for my first derby of the year. I challenge myself to catch the best 5 bass bag I can in preparation. I'm also exploring new areas, trying to locate where the bass are feeding, and what baits they are willing to eat. I would consider it a successful practice day and I am hopeful I can do well on tournament day. The water ...

Ohio river, Tanner's creek. 50-53-degree water temperatures in early March. The river was almost ten feet above normal pool, and the ramp was flooded with debris. Searching to find the cleanest/warmest water and methodically picking it apart. The bass eventually showed themselves and what they would be willing to eat. All bass were caught on the new chatter bait Evo in black and blue color with...
3rd Place! Tough Tournament on COLD Ohio River in December.

I fished an open tournament on, what I consider my home body of water, the Ohio River. 16 boats ran out of an off limits for fishing tanner's creek. The bass were actually biting pretty good for me to start the day despite the 44-degree main river water temperatures. After I got my fourth keeper the bite slowed to a stop. I kept covering water around the mouths of creeks and finally found my fi...

Fishing on the Flambeau lake chain in northern Wisconsin for Smallmouth Bass. The start to my day was quick, picking up Smallmouth on my keitech Swimbait using MegaLive to target them. The Smallmouth were below average size though so I went searching for a bigger one. Later in the day the Smallmouth quit eating a Swimbait and I used a Berkley Max cent 7 inch magnum hit worm on a 3/16 oz shaky h...
Best 5 Hour Fishing Trip of My LIFE?! North Wisconsin Smallmouth Smackdown!

I had an epic short fishing trip in Northern Wisconsin on Rainbow Flowage. I really didn't go into this trip planning to make a video, I just wanted to get on the water for the little time that I had and catch what I could. I thought I would catch some walleye, crappie, and smallmouth bass if they wanted to play. The smallmouth bass in these flowages in northern Wisconsin get extremely shallow ...

Winter A-Rig Bass! LET's Talk About IT (Tennessee River).
Been fishing on the rainbow a long time. Caught many big small mouths. Cool to see you fishing all my favorite spots
Patience is a virtue my friend!
Staying at yarberry campground on fort loudon and i cant catch anything. Help??
The way I see it you have 2 options, tuck back up in some backwaters and cover water or fish main river ledges, brush piles, and rock piles. Those bass are a sucker for a shaky head. 3/16 oz with a 7 inch maxcent magnum hit worm.
That spinnerbait bite can be nasty that time of year in those conditions.
Spinnerbait or chatterbait, they always seem to go one way or the other in that flooded, muddy, shallow water.
Nice video. Great job
Thank you!
Awesome day of fishing! Great job
Thank you! I miss conroe!
What part of thr ohio river ya in
Cincinnati, tanners creek pool mainly.
Huge Congrats! I fished with the 2nd place guy. Runs a Skeeter, not a flat bottom. Tight lines 🎣
Thank you! And yeah, I wasn't completely sure about the 2nd place guy.
@@littleredfishing You fishing any Toyota Series events?
@@briansenter4023 not this year. Its on my mind but ultimate goal is to fish with BASS.
Matt cash lives in your area, he repaired a wee bait for me. Highly recommend
Thank you!
6.08... what lake and what was you exact location? 🤨👀😬
Lol plum lake Wisconsin. There's plenty bigger smallmouth in there, good luck.
@littleredfishing haha I was teasing! I'm up here now. Headed back home in the morning though. Now delete this thread so nobody else knows!
Years and years ago that place was loaded with grass...its a shame the corp of engineers screwed it up and killed the grass...i still love the lake even though i dont get there too often anymore.
It's always unfortunate when grass is removed from a lake. Fortunately, this lake has the standing timber to support big bass populations.
Congratulations
Thank you!
Nice job Brad! Those crank baits must have been from my Dad CJ?? He would be happy they are getting you a paycheck!
Thank you, and that's exactly where they came from!
Nice bag for the river. Stayed at that camground last year for the BFL, nice cause no one else stays there
Thank you! And yeah it was nice to have it all to myself.
What do you use to power your Cameras? Just curious I’m tired of luggin big battery packs that don’t keep much charge
I just use a rechargeable power bank, and run it to the gopro all day. It'll last 8-10 hours but if it's really hot and sunny the gopro will overheat.
Can you smack your lips and slap that battery just one more time
My son caught a 4.89lb 20 incher last thursday.
That's awesome! The bite should be great through the spawn.
@@littleredfishinggood looking Xpress. I got an H20Bay w a 150 yamaha. I got it up to 52 before. So far so good. 102 hours. Tight lines brother
I caught a few trout before it. Pissed cause the boss called me into work early so i missed the bass bite during the eclipse.
I wanted to take the day off!
Hope you’re still tracking this video. I enjoyed it. I question how this single battery will perform on my 20’ Xpress in bay/near offshore, with a new Garmin Force kraken motor. My boat is light, so I figure moving to a single 36v60ah from a dual Dakota 24v54ah(112ah total life) will be overkill, but also save me battery life being too powerful for my lighter boat…what do you think?
I'm not super familiar with exactly how much current you're fighting or with the Garmin force trolling motor. Dakota lithium now makes a 36v 110 ah battery though. Having more Amp hours never hurts, in my opinion. However, I have run mine in light river current and still can't kill it in a single days use. Hope this helps.
I caught a bunch during the solar eclipse
That's awesome! What were you throwing? Need to know for the next one?
I did in my 2 acre pond. They were stacked up crazy. And the water clarity was insane. I guess cuz there was no glare from the direct sun. It was pretty cool
That's awesome! Wish I could have got out. It would have made for a fun video.
How is the battery doing for you?
Currently having some issues with it, or the charger. However, I am happy with how dakota lithium is handling it. They're doing everything in their power to get me a new battery and charger as soon as possible. I will update when the situation is resolved.
@@littleredfishingdid they ever send out replacements?
Slay 🐠
Ok
EPOCH Lithium Batteries answer their phone every time. And I’ve had Dakota lithium batteries. Go with EPOCH. You won’t be sorry. They are the best.
0:10 Me and my dad have resently been watching your videos...we also fish at brookville lake a lot. We were wondering what part of the lake you were fishing. If you dont want to share I understand. 0:05
It's pretty simple for me through the spawn. I stay north of the Fairfield causeway bridge. Any of those pockets will hold fish. Can't go wrong with Hanna creek, the wall, or really any bank in the top idle zone. If you're trying to get them on a crankbait, make sure you're running it as parallel to the bank as possible. Keep moving until you find the bass then slow down.
@@littleredfishing ok thank you very much
@@Landanbecker thank you for watching!
Nice job
Thank you!
Tube works wonders on brookville smallies
No doubt, it's a very overlooked bait for many anglers these days.
Got 8 years out of my interstate 12v batteries still going strong.
How many days a week do you fish? All batteries are only good for so many charge cycles.
Are you need RUclips Seo expert?
No. I don't think so.
all for the catfishing vids!
There's some big ones living down there!
Great job for this time of year!
Thank you!
Great video. It's super tough right now on the Ohio.
Thank you! This was just a couple of days ago, but the cold is definitely going to put them in a funk.
Can u fish more there please also I know the lake pretty well I can point out some spots
Unfortunately, I probably won't make it back up to Wisconsin this year, but it was a fun lake and place.
I fish this lake regularly, been a tough bite so far. Going to check it out again this weekend! 🔥🎣🔥
@@LarsonFishing good luck!
Coming to Tennessee this summer in April or may all the way from texas got any tips that would help us have rememberable experience
Should be able to find some good fish up shallow getting ready to spawn or spawning. Cover water quickly until you find them, and don't be scared to fish the "community holes." They are community holes because they are always holding fish.
Reel sounds like theres a Bearing going out
Yeah some of my gear is getting older, like me.
I work that landing that you are parked in. I work Fri. Sat. and Sundays. We check for invasive weeds and the like. Next year stop in and share stories on Bass hot spots.
That's awesome, I ran into a bunch of people checking for invasive species while up in Wisconsin. If I make it back up there, I'll be sure to stop and chat!
@@littleredfishing About 10 cribs have been put in. Early in the year 4 guys said they walked in waders in the spring and had 30 bass each. (Fri-Sun)
I fish this lake regularly, been a grind the last few weeks to catch’em going to give it another try this weekend! 🔥🎣🔥
Ever coming back to lake conroe?
Someday, I loved lake Conroe.
Good video and good job finishing 3rd. What circuit are you fishing?
Thank you! This was a Westsiders open tournament. I just moved back to Ohio, but I plan to fish the mlf/bfl Hoosier and buckeye, Dixie marine team trail, and Westsiders next year.
Really nice setup you got there. Nice fish too. I just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work
Thank you! Very much appreciated. I'll check out your channel as well.

Thank you! Much appreciated.
I've had 2 100ah Dakotas go bad on me in my 1st season with them...I own 3 in a 36v system..They came with my new boat and I didn't research they were made in CHINA...Never again...
Sorry to hear that, I've had nothing but good experiences with mine so far. Any lithium battery is going to be made in China.
Did they honor their warranty?
Nice job, thank you!
Thank you!
One word....YES !! Lithium is maybe one of the greatest developments in fishing in years. No longer do I need to "watch" my trolling motor usage. No more do I have to use "Spot Lock" carefully and only when needed. I run a 19' Lund with Ulterra (24v) and twin Solix 12's. I have two lithiums (100Ah) for the trolling motor, one for the graphs (100Ah), and one for my cranking (125Ah) . It frees you up to worry ZERO about energy on your boat. I LOVE these things !!!
Thank you!
Dude this is EXACTLY the intel I was looking for. Thank you, you’re doing God’s work 🙏
Thank you!
Nice vid hope you can post again soon
Thanks man
Awesome, how big?
5.11. Thanks for watching.
That is a tank!! I have only had the chance to fish over in northern Wisconsin once and I also caught my PB there. There is some big fish in that area.
@@tateblomquist668 oh yeah it was a good summer!
Buy real interstate batteries not the ones made for Costco or academe’s. I bought a new ranger in 2017 still have same interstate batteries
Mine came from a Marina selling boats so...
I fish that lake quite often. I mainly target the catfish but I've caught a few 5+ lb bass out of there on cut bait and caught one surprisingly on pork roast.
That's wild! How big are the catfish in there?
