2ND PLACE! MLF BFL Hoosier Division Bass Fishing Tournament, Plus Recap!

The first stop of the MLF BFL Hoosier division tournaments was on Patoka Lake in Indiana. I had a big 2nd place finish to start the year. I weighed in 5 bass for 17 pounds 9 ounces on the only five keeper bites I had all day. My first and last bass came on a 3/8oz Chatterbait Jackhammer in green pumpkin gizzard color with a Rapala freeloader as a trailer. Bass 2-4 came on an Ike's flipping jig with a Powerbait Maxscent 3-inch chigger craw as a trailer. Stay tuned for more bass fishing tournament content.

Years and years ago that place was loaded with grass...its a shame the corp of engineers screwed it up and killed the grass...i still love the lake even though i dont get there too often anymore.

It's always unfortunate when grass is removed from a lake. Fortunately, this lake has the standing timber to support big bass populations.
