How much emissions are released to make a bottle? (vs a gallon of gas)
Are reusable stainless steel bottles like YETIs and Stanleys actually good for the environment? It's obvious that reusable bottles are better than single-use ones, but given that water bottles are treated like collectibles by many people, overconsumption becomes more of a concern. In this video, we'll estimate how much greenhouse gas emissions are created from manufacturing and shipping a bottle to your door. Then we'll look at other long-lasting concerns, including microplastics. So let's dive right in and find out how green your bottle really is.

      Most of them say that pots,glass ceramic types materials are best but the most dangerous metal lead may be there.The practical reason is they are cheap and enhance the look(specifically there is a type of glass called lead glass).The best I prefer is 18/8 stainless steel.I don't know if there is cast iron material bottles because it may give us iron ,specifically when using cast iron. cookware.

    Question from a Insulated Stainless Steel Cup/Bottle collector. seems like there is no listing for fully-stainless steel jugs, as all the caps seem to be plastic in some parts(excluding the copper one) is there no version of insulated water bottles with full metal caps? Been finding an answer to this question, as I have this wierd Murphy's Law where I put the bottle on the table, accidentally hit it, the bottle miraculously lands on the lid, and the lid just cracks open due to the water in it. been trying to find a full-metal lid to solve this issue

      I'm not sure. I'd guess it's just them updating the design of the print or maybe having a relationship with a couple factories for supply chain reasons that leads to small differences, but I don't know enough about the small details like that to know if it could indicate one of them is a fake.

    One thing not mentioned about the Yeti Rambler is that it's Dishwasher safe. For me, this was the deciding factor. I want ease of cleaning and the sanitization offered by the Dishwasher.

    • @bottlepro3252
      @bottlepro3252 10 дней назад

      True, and a lot of bottles nowadays are dishwasher safe. Hydro Flask updated their design a few years ago, and that was one of the big improvements. In general I still prefer handwashing to prevent scratches or other small cosmetic damage, but that's just me. Dishwashing certainly does make it easier.

  • @Slyrapture

    I am looking for a new bottle with a straw cap (around 24 oz). In your big comparison video, you mentioned the Yeti Rambler straw lid being a bit stiff and unenthusiastic compared to other options, especially Hydro Flask. However, on Reddit and other forums people seem to be just as unimpressed with Hydro Flask's newer straw lid. Would you mind to elaborate a bit further on the two mentioned straw lids? Thanks

    • @bottlepro3252
      @bottlepro3252 10 дней назад

      Which comparison video did you watch? The older one didn't have Owala, and that's honestly one of the better straw lids now. I'd recommend that for a straw lid over YETI or Hydro Flask. Easier to clean everywhere that water touches because it doesn't have a rotating spout. It also is easier to sip from because there's zero air constriction (most straw lids have that small air hole, but Owala's chug opening acts like a much bigger vent). If you're OK with the color choices and the not-as-good handle, Owala might be better than either HF or YETI.

  • @Kiwiiizzz
    @Kiwiiizzz 19 дней назад

    Bought this bottle because of you and came in next day. Somehow feels like a straw and also is very fun to drink water out of. Big reasons why i like plastic straws is to control how much water i get with each sip and with owala it feels the exact same so kudos to this brand and hopefully we get similar designs in every bottle. Only downside i can think of is that your front teeth will get stained if you anything else besides water since the contact point is directly on your front teeth but otherwise wonderful bottle to drink out of

    • @bottlepro3252
      @bottlepro3252 10 дней назад

      Glad to hear you're liking it so far! I was skeptical at first since there are so many "trendy" bottles that really aren't any better, but I personally do like Owala's lid design. Other than the handle!

  • @jjsmakeupobsession323
    @jjsmakeupobsession323 19 дней назад

    I really like these but the only drawback for me is when you have ice in it, the straw gets knocked out. Resulting in having to repeatedly removing the lid to put the straw back in the top.

    • @bottlepro3252
      @bottlepro3252 10 дней назад

      Yea, if it's crammed full of ice or that plastic wears out some over time, I could see that happening. That's something to consider with most straw lids though. Chug lids with a strainer like what Takeya has is another good option for ice.
