oil pressure sensor, my cupra does it down by filter housing

These are common to have air leaks under the intake manifold which can cause running issues / misfires

Been looking forward to the next episode! For reference, my 1.8 Celica holds about 400ml in the filter, which is the difference from full on the dipstick, to halfway between full and minimum, so I agree that it shouldn't have caused the oil light to come on.

Lovely video! I actually own one of the 260-ish Golf 4 Estate 1.8T wagons here in Bulgaria. Car was imported around 2018-ish and I've owned it for one year now and I absolutely love it to bits(even tho I am on the wrong side of the driving position, but I think that even makes so much more cooler here). For the axle stands issue, you should have a front jacking point which can raise the whole car at once, front subframe or engine crossmember eould work, then you can remove both axle stands and lower the car flat.

you cant compare it to a bmw other than the shape of an estate in my opinion, nevertheless love the content, keep it up!

I daily drove a Beetle for about 3~yrs back in the 90s.... in my case the car nearly burned down as the fuel pump let go and pour gas all over the engine manifold. Was driving w/ my friend and we both said do you smell gasoline? so we pulled over and there was a puddle of smoking (a bit) gas on top of the block. Fire extinguisher should definitely be in these cars, A lot of the fuel filter failures were people using hose clamps and over tightening and cracking the clear plastic fuel filter and then they would leak fuel onto the engine block. It was a fiddly car to own, but I did like driving it a fair bit.

I’d say a touch up pen and a class in blending paints it’d be perfect, a scrap power drill off marketplace and a couple of lambs wool buffer pads you’d have the lights looking like new.. looks better than the £95 one I saved from a scrap yard.. 😂

You're not an American so why call it a `Bug'? I've had two Beetles, a 1967 1500cc, 6-Volter and a 1969 1300cc, 12-Volter Both were reliable, comfortable by then-current standards but as the 1969 got older(but well-maintained)it became obvious that it wasn't powerful enough to cope with 1980s traffic speeds! EG joining an uphill Motorway junction like M1 Junction 11 northbound from Luton/Dunstable was truly buttock-clenching! I thought about fitting a performance engine but in the end I sold the car for three times what I'd paid for it. Still love that air-cooled, flat-four exhaust note! But it's rarely heard nowadays.

It's a good job you've got a fire extinguisher for when that fuel filter causes a fire. You might find if you get rid of the 009 for a good 034 VA it'll run a hell of a lot better. 009 was never ment to run on a car with varying rpm

Oil pickup. Oil pressure sensor. And oil level sensor can cause amber light had same issue. Oil pressure light took sump off and cleaned pick up fine ever since. You can buy oil pressure kits aswell.. but either way easy fixes diy

I had a 1.6 16v golf 4 (2000) estate and a 1.6fsi golf 4 (2003) estate, both had cruise control

As other have said, oil pick up feed will be blocked. The mesh gets clogged up. Simply take the sump off and replace the pick up feed. I use fully synthetic in my 1.8t to keep the sludge away. There’s also a bigger oil filter you can get for a4 b6’s like mine, not sure if the tt’s can also have the bigger filter.

Sorry but had to give you a down vote only because I watched you drive around for over 10 minutes and in the end you never actually say what the set-up is, just 17x9 rims, so what what are the tires? Even the "artistic" cut shots show Pirelli, but cut away before you get to tire size.
