My kids are also grown now and self sufficient and we get along great but i also disciplined them when it was called for. Follow thru is the most important. If youre going to threaten a consequence, do it, or dont say one. Good on you. Keep it up. As mentioned by someone else it is not our job to be their friends when theyre growing up. Save that until theyre grown and show that theyre loved each step of the way and make sure they understand the why of the punishment afterwards. Dont let em walk all over you and tell you no when theyre small as that will not go away as they get bigger and they will make life a lot more difficult than it needs to be.
Well Said!! I had alot of health issues when the kiddos were young & it made it so hard to follow through because i lacked so much energy. Trying to get better at this now!!!
@@bodywithbree best part is if you do get to put in the work now, it will pay off sooner rather than later. Once my kids hit middle and high school I didn't have to really do anything for them anymore. They went to school, did their homework, did their chores, and otherwise got to enjoy mostly free time doing what they wanted to at that point because I didn't even have to tell them anymore. I have heard nightmares of the terrible teens but I never had that issue. I had terrible toddler stage and that nonsense got corrected quick. I don't find gentle parenting to be effective in most cases whereas with strict processes and predictable patterns I ended up with functional young adults before teenage years even hit. Maybe I got lucky, who knows.
@@kristinhl364 we had a tough go with our first as a toddler but she had turned out to be such a wonderful Teen! I’m so grateful . We have quite the range of kiddos 16 15 10 8 7 ! So it’s been a roller coaster with so many different parenting styles lol . I officially don’t have a style 😝

You may get some negative feedback with your strategy, however, as a single mom of two very stubborn, defiant children with minds of their own (they are now in their 50's), sometimes tough behavior was needed to get them to get the basics done. I never struck them, but I sure had some ground rules that I had to follow through with. As teens they were very challenging, and took some hard line rules from me. Today they are amazing men, who are bringing up their own children well, with respect and solid ground rules. Will kids be kids..? Of course. But the ground rules and daily reminders that they were loved (and still are) no matter what, has paid off. I believe children need guidance, encouragement, respect and to know they are loved and not alone. I was not my boys friend, I was their Mom! Today we are the best of friends. For me, it paid off. All I can say to you is....Good on ya! Your determination, patience, and unending love of him will pay off <3

Great video! I find it so hard to figure out what’s for dinner! I always overthink and make recipes too complicated!! Love this consist approach aka taco Tuesday! I’m so doing this!! I agree vegan protein powder is sooooo nasty. Soo sweet and just not good for recipes in my opinion. When I was vegan I did a tofu scramble. It just makes sense. If vegan’s don’t use protein in pancakes, kind of out the window, considering how bad they taste, I agree with video. When I ate, pancakes as a vegan, I just ate pancakes. Trying to insert protein in my mornings. I always did the tofu scramble. It was such a good recipe, from the minimum minimalist baker “tofu scramble”. That’s one thing with being vegan, always have to watch your carb intake and protein. Somethings are just hard to justify. I guess that’s kind of part of being vegan everything changes, breakfast the most.
O man it would be a challenge for sure to find the same amounts of protein as a Vegan!! There is nothing like a real pancakes !! I would rather chug my protein on the side and just enjoy my meal 😂😝😂

Actually did this workout with you last week. I have much lighter weights, so first part didn’t feel challenging, but I struggled at the end, push up is not my thing 😂 the next morning I woke up, and boy, was I wrong about that first part… my arms were sore for 3 days straight! 😂😅 Thank you for this workout! I hope you’ll make one with dumbbells for lower body ❤

I'm a 35 yr old mom of 1 and I'm triple your size...
One thing I know is that the body is ever changing. I’ve been many sizes. I really try to accept that each day my body is new and different from the last . My expectations should be flexible enough to be able to pivot without quitting completely ❤️❤️❤️❤️

That's absolutely amazing to me. I actually hope to be like you one day because 5 kids and exercising at 35 is a big deal. You need to give yourself more credit and stop comparing yourself.
I really do try!! I think a lot of it stems from actually feeling better mentally as I get older ! It’s hard to feel younger In spirit yet accept the body is not the same :)

Is it normal to gain 4 lbs after starting a new exercise program treadmill for 1 hour and walking dogs for 30 minutes. I am still tracking my calories and in a deficit. If only been on this exercise program for 2 weeks
Absolutely! If you have not been active you are waking up new muscles and they will draw water in for repair. Likely, it will drop off again once your body gets through the “ alarm phase”. Our bodies let go of water when they feel “ safe” ❤

I have struggled for 8 years with my weight. I was prepping for a bikini comp when I got pregnant with my first kid. I gave up on that dream have been in survival ever since.
Survival Mode is a place I am very familiar with!! I don't think i would ever have the commitment to do a bikini prep, but fitting in those 3-4 weight lifting sessions at home has been ok for me!
I struggled with this. Then I made my focus tracking my protein with a rough idea on carbs and fats. I struggled to get out of my own head and get out of my own way. I love that you are sharing your story!

Balance is always good. 80/20 is what I try to stick to.
My only tip for the bulk food is buy it when it is on sale or when the store is doing a case lot sale. This has been a life saver for my family. 💕💕

It can be challenging. One of my stores does discounts but I never know when they are doing them.

Good tips, thank you!! My current fat loss phase is moving slower than usual and I'm getting frustrated. I usually get the woosh effect much sooner. Hearing that you had to wait a month is crazy!! I will persevere and trust the process but it is frustrating.
