I know this video is a year old but the acetone from the hardware store is the same thing as the stuff customizers normally use (the stuff for nails)

For anyone asking me to not refer to this style as “dreads” or “dreadlocks” please understand that I am part Jamaican and grew up with the term in a positive light. The word was often presented with pride. I understand that people have different views on the matter now and you’re entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. I do not use the term “Dreads” to insult. Words can either be used to unite or divide depending on what context you choose to use them. Please don’t spread division. People of color like myself have turned words used to describe us into words of empowerment. You may not agree with the origin of a specific word but please don’t try to take away what it may mean for others, especially from members of that community. We all have our beliefs and traditions and whatever they may be, we should all respect one another.

On hair length it should be medium because imagine if your hair was really long and you spent most of your time in water and imagine when you get out of the water your hair would end up strangling you so medium length with a French braid pony tail would look nice.

I'm planning on doing a rainbow high doll repaint soon.... so I'm SO GLAD I found this video. It'll help me make her horns as far as placement (so so sad I couldn't see the process for her and hope your're doing well now!) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE lowering her eyes a bit with epoxy sculpt- I never thought of that!! Thanks for struggling so the rest of us can learn from your mistakes haha She turned out GORGEOUS. THAT FACE. Her LIPS are my absolute favorite!
