Can this be used on a gasoline powered AWD Ford Transit? I'm getting conflicting information.
I don't know enough about the transits to give you a definitive answer. If you contant VanLand, they could help you out! They are the people I bought my system through and I believe they are the only ones who sell this product right now.
The foot stools look great but ur link isn’t correct.
Thanks for letting me know! I fixed it. amzn.to/3ZKXxNX
I got one of these on Black Friday on Amazon. Love it! Cheaper than Cliq but just as easy to set up/put away. Plus the higher back on this is something I wanted. I liked it so much I got a 2nd one while the sale was still on. They are great chairs and now I have 2 for my van. 🙂
That's awesome! Yeah the higher back makes this chair way more comfortable and levels it up in my opinion. I'll probably pick a second one up the next time I'm wife comes out with me. I've liked it a lot
Hi Riley, any reason why you installed it on that side of the door? could I potentially install on the other side?
You can absolutely install on the other door! In fact, mine would have been better suited on the driver side since my electrical system is on that side. I had the tire/ladder on that side already though so found a way to make it work on the passenger side. I have an install video that goes over everything :)
Love this product! Initially was asked to use on the job (I’m a floor product cook at a chain warehouse store). I cooked 4 - 1.5” steaks at a time & all came out perfect. I am NOT a fan of alot of countertop appliances but I 😂as so impressed I purchased one! I love it & use it regularly. ( many countertop appliances sit unused after the initial newness wears off). Agree that pre-heat & cool down is lengthy but totally impressed at the ease of cleaning. One thing you did not mention is that not only does it grill but you are able to flip the grill to make it a flat top griddle. Great for pancakes, eggs, grilled cheese , etc. I’ve used many indoor grills and this is THE ONLY one that delivers as advertised! LOVE THIS PRODUCT! ( plus it’s affordability makes it great a gift).

Its not a "spare" battery, its just the battery, if you bought a second battery the second would be a spare.
Dec 14 2024 The wave 2 can be had for $500.
Gotta give the wave 2 another point because it's a heater. I understand a lot of people don't cold weather camp but for those who do not you don't have to buy and take up space with a Chinese diesel heater.
if you need this, pretty much fk
Smokeless means it grills without an open flame. The "smoke" coming off of the burgers is water vapor, not smoke. So, it is smokeless as in it doesn't use a combustible material to grill the food.
Yep great explanation. I did mention steam in the video, but it was worth talking about and showing it really wasn't a problem. I saw a lot of reviews hate on the product because of the "smoke"
Great review! I have been thinking about something like this for a while. It's nice that it comes with both cooking surfaces if you want to make pancakes or eggs. It was surprising that the power dropped off once it got to temperature as an induction cook top would continue to consume power the whole time that it is on. Thanks for reviewing! It takes my glass cook top about the same amount of time before the pan is ready to cook. At least if it's cold outside, the long cool off period doesn't go to waste in the van:)
Thanks! Yeah I wish I had the two tops with mine. I'll definitely be picking up the flat top now! I've enjoyed the grilling experience you're able to get especially when fire restrictions are in place and campfire cooking is limited.
Great review.....also agree with you about propane cooking vs induction!!!!
Thank you! I've really enjoyed this cooktop for my setup. I honestly never used induction with cast iron before and it actually works great! I'm happy some others shared their experience with me on it. I still prefer gas, but my favorite will always be open fire cooking.
Came here from your awesome nomadic s1 install. Will def subscribe and check out your other videos. Will look for a follow up video on the AC. 👍
Thank you for the support! Glad you enjoyed the install video. I will definitely be releasing more content about it in the spring and summer. It's been a great addition to the van!
you talk too much!!!!!!

Interesting! Thanks for sharing
I’ve read about a Mercedes bulletin where they tell that you need to swap some wires since they are not well connected. Search on RUclips to find it
Wonder if you can mount the outside part under carriage of the van?
No, it has to be mounted vertical. I asked the same question when dong my initial research. I thought about mounting it on my roof at an angle, and Nomadic said it could technically be done, but a lot of modifications would have to be made since it relies on gravity. The cruise in comfort system does have an undercarriage mounted system, and Velit AC also has a similar system. Cruise in comfort system is pretty expensive, but I've heard great things about it. I was worried about dust and grime causing issues which is why I went with this system.
@@rileyclarkfineart I wonder if you could do an undercarriage with the S1 but pop the shroud off and flip the compressor around so its not upside down.
I turn on the ac during the winter for the noise, I don't want it to be quite lol
Great review. Question.... What about drainage on the EcoFlow 2 when you used it inside the tent? Did you need to drain that out or into a container of some sort?
Honestly in the desert climate, I very rarely found myself needing to drain it at all. It does have a drain tube it comes with and the app/device will warn you when it's time to drain it. It needs gravity to drain tho, so either you need to pick it up and drain it, or have it sitting up so it has somewhere to flow.
Being black is NOT synonymous with being heat-absorbing. Heat is specific to "infra-red" spectrum. Both black and white surfaces can be IR absorbing or reflective. What we "see", is totally irrelevant to the unseen IR bandwidth of light, where ALL heat is present. In all honesty, glass is where the most heat is absorbed, unless it has IR reflective film on it. That is why most sun reflective shields are useless. Light has to pass through the glass, heating the glass. The solar reflector would have to be outside the car to truly be functional. The metal on the car actually acts like foil on a potato in the oven, trapping heat inside. The only "white paint" that is IR reflective, is reflective ONLY when it contains aluminum oxide as the pigment. Any other pigment. The worst paint is black, but ONLY when it contains carbon as the pigment. Most car primer is now made with aluminum oxide, under the paint, to help reflect heat and there are few car paints that use carbon as the ultra-black, as the pigment. However, all glass is still IR absorbing and translucent, as they focus on UV reflective surfaces to stop interiors from getting destroyed from the damaging rays. IR reflection would be foil-reflective, one-way mirror, which is illegal to use on a vehicle for may reasons. The only other option would be the use of argon gasses within a double-layer glass, like in homes, which is impossible to do in a vehicle, safely. Any insulated window shields, which has an IR reflective (mylar foil), facing outside with insulation inside, is perfect. The better it can seal against a hot window, without letting heat into the cabin, the better. Black, white, red, green, blue is honestly not going to matter. You can check for IR reflection with any thermal camera or simply by placing your hand against it. An IR camera will see the surface reflecting your body heat off of it like a mirror. Placing your hand against it, or wrapping your hand with the material, you will feel super hot as your body heat is reflected back at you. An IR thermometer will also have trouble reading the temperature of the surface, and will read the temperature of whatever is reflecting off the surface, instead. (You can see the temps of a candle reflecting off the surface as a test, as well as the temps of a glass of ice, as the surface temps of the material, in the reflection.) All those compact items are awesome, but being compact and lightweight would be the best setup. Luckily, the items are not large and heavy, even though they are individually heavy. The only item that seems like a luxury is the electric griddle cooker. Cast iron cooking stuff is really a luxury to tote around. The best cook-wares would be aluminum and ceramic, for reduced weight, easy cleaning and fast heating with the least fuel or power.
Racist
I have the Van Essentials window shades also. I have the ones that are black on one side and have the white reflectix on the other side and I absolutely love them!!! Yes, they are pricey but they were well worth it. I originally just bought one for the window on my sliding door (I have a Promaster 2500), but after having that for about 5 months I bought the ones for my front windows.
That's awesome! I've enjoyed the build quality on the van essentials products. The only issue I have had is that we trimmed our driver side window in too tight so the magnets don't work. A little Velcro fixed the problem though.
@rileyclarkfineart i don't think mine even have magnets (they might, I just don't know hahaha). They just got in so perfectly tight that they stay in perfectly. I have a 2021 Ram Promaster 2500.
Amater 🥺
Lord of the Flames 😂❤
I have had the ecoflow Wave 2 for over a year now. I've been very disappointed with its performance. It can't even cool down my tiny home office (which is just big enough to fit a single bed in, with my desk) and the battery barely you 2 hours, so that's useless as it takes 2 hour to bring the temp down by 1-2 degrees (c). I recently bought a cheap, small free-standing portable A/C unit from Costco and its *significantly* better.
Some great ideas! I am going to buy the backup camera for a gift and probably one of the small espresso makers as well. Thanks! And hope you and your wife have a nice Thanksgiving!
The espresso maker is one of my favorite gadgets! And the backup camera has been one of those things I never new I needed until I needed it. I hope you have a great thanksgiving as well
What are some of your favorite gadgets you use?
Hi Riley, I have property in the very north east of Vermont (Known as the "North East Kingdom" or "NEK") and cell service is less than great. HiBoost is running a big RUclips campaign right now and so I watched a bunch of comparison videos between them and WeBoost. The thing that I found interesting with this unit is actually the small external antenna. While the bigger RV or overlanding antennas may work somewhat better there is no way they'd survive my day to day use, including everything from parking garages to VERY overgrown trails near the property. So I decided to check HiBoost out. Followed your link, which didn't work correctly (404 error), but still took me to their home page. From there I could see that they had a great price on the 2.0 system. Put it in my cart and added their Black Friday code and got $40 off. Then I decided to try your code. And it worked! Same discount, so I used yours instead. Hope you get some kind of credit for that. :) As an aside - I'm intrigued by your "fine art" reference above and will be checking that out. I also appreciate the links to all of your equipment. I'm hoping to actually start posting content in the near future, and all information like what you provided is very useful. So I'm glad this serendipitous route brought me to your channel! I'll let you know how it all works out. Doug C. Quick update, 12/17/24 - HiBoost customer service contacted me with news that the Car 2 system is not in stock and they are uncertain when it will be available. They were very apologetic and helpful and with their assistance I've arranged to cancel that order and have switched to the Car 3, which is in stock. And the best part? Your code worked for that as well. :) With their Christmas sale and your code I saved quite a lot. I'll post an update in early 2025 after I've had a chance to use the unit up north. Thanks again for your very helpful video!
Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to share your journey and thoughts! It always is nice to hear how people find my channel and comments like this really help motivate me to keep going. Thanks for letting me know about the link, I know WeBoost recently changed a lot of their back end linking so I've been working on updating those as I receive new information. I appreciate your efforts to support the channel and I do look forward to sharing more outdoor gear with you in the future! If you have any questions about my art, don't hesitate to reach out through my website 😊
So you have to.buy your own hose for the unit or does it come with it?
It comes with 1 intake and 1 exhaust hose. And also comes with a drain hose. The window adapter i used i bought seperate
Is this a photograph?
Yes it is
Pop filter :)
The Sprinter van just seems to be the best platform for this purpose and you have added some really innovative products such as the exhaust hot water heater. I have been using some Dakota batteries (in the same league as Battle Born and has been around almost as long) for over 10 years and not had a single issue. Although over priced now, next year when the new tariffs start and all those less expensive batteries made in China go up 100% or more, the two brands made in the US will probably find some new customers. Thanks for the tour of your excellent van and no worries, i made the bacon this morning:D
I've heard a lot of great things about Dakota batteries. Lion energy out of Utah makes some nice products too. The sprinter has its quirks and limitations but definitely a great platform for adventure vans. I've loved it for sure!
nice setup! Would love to do a similar buildout some day
Thanks! It has been a lot of hard work but well worth it.
Nice van Riley. I have a stand up fridge too, wanted a chest style but couldn’t get it to fit.
Yeah you definitely gotta be creative with where you put a chest one, but definitely will do one of those if I ever do a future build.
Thanks!
Beautiful! That little stream running through is lovely!
In any case, the outcome mentioned is wrong. 20V 13A is 260W. But PD Max is only 60W. There will be 1 too many printed everywhere. 20V 3A matches the 60W.
A nice size. It looks like there may be some compliance issues with the PD port as the Mavick seems to "think" it can get more than 60 watts from the port. Maybe think about providing some feedback to Egretech about this as most likely it just needs a firmware update. The price is really good for what you get though. Thanks for reviewing!
Yeah the size and portability of it is really nice! I was thinking something similar with the port. The drone was definitely wanting to pull more from that port which was causing the bank to power down to protect itself.
I have an RV with two roof tops but am thinking of adding this 12V split system that you added instead of adding a 120V that I would need to add to generator. My question is if this 12V system will run off the house batteries that are being charged by the alternator while I’m driving, as my RV only needs the help during driving hours because of the huge windows that let in heat. I won’t need to run the 12V split system when parked
Yeah I don't see an issue with that at all as long as the proper charge controller is inline for charging your batteries from the alternator. The S1 comes with battery terminal rings and in line fuses and is designed to go right in line with any 12v system. You might have to build your own harness like I did though depending on how long of a run the s1 is to your battery bank. Depending on the size of your battery bank, I would just be cautious you don't drain them. But if you are only using it driving, it should be more than ok! I know Jonathan from Nomadic installed this in their Expedition Rig to use to cook the cab while driving. I use mine while driving all the time too.
Great work, love to you from Libya 🇱🇾 ❤
Thank you! Grateful for a platform where I can share with others from across the world 🙏
Great video, loved every part of it 👍🏼
Thank you! I appreciate the support 🙏
Stupidly beautiful and immersive, it felt as if I were one step behind you guys on your trip. You've really inspired me with your work man, how do you colour-grade your shots to make them feel so alive? I would love for some tips! Hoping to see more videos like this !!
Thank you! I was hoping to create this type of feeling so it means a lot to hear this! I'm still a stubborn premier pro user, so nothing overly fancy with the color grading. I took some screen grabs from films and documentary I liked the colors from, and used the wave forms to match as best as I could. Glad you liked it! And I hope to make more content like this in the future too 🙏
Criminally underrated video. Great image and edit. Keep up the fantastic work my dude
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate your support!
Wow, glad to see your wife joining you for this one! This video is a different level for your channel. A very cohesive story, very nice music selection and over all videography and family inclusiveness is over the top! Nice!! The only thing missing, was, well, you know:)
Haha unfortunately I was out of bacon for this one. I appreciate the support as always 🙏
really awesome cinematography Riley! I'm over here taking notes haha. Glad you had an awesome trip to the SJ's - no better place to spend fall!
Thanks Brian! It's always rewarding to produce a video like this that's well recieved. I appreciate the support! Good light to you, my friend 🙏
I will not speak about the fact that is way underpowered for what is marketed for, but in 4 hours it stopped with the error number x( i cannot recall the number). short circuit battery something. i did not have the battery pack. returned it. it is nothing else but a spotchiller over marketed
Nice one
Thank you!
The S1 is awesome. Best AC on the market by far.... our will not be disappointed...
I've loved mine so far! It's been a game changer
I can feel it. I miss being in nature so much, thank you
Love it!!!
Thank you 😀
