Tour of Red River Gorge Cavern
Просмотров 3714 дней назад
This is a floating tour of a mine that flooded in 1985 and was later purchased and turned into this tourist attraction. There's approximately 5 miles within this honey comb shaped cavern. They also have some pretty big rainbow trout that put in there. Interesting place for sure.

Просмотров 2775 месяцев назад
In conjunction with NY DEC Region 6 office and the Lake Ontario Unit the Henderson Harbor Fishing Guides Association conducted their fourth annual Net Pen Rearing Project for 90K Chinook Salmon and 10K Steelhead. I had the privilege of helping out this year and while I've been a member of the guides association for four years I hadn't helped out until now. Very worthwhile project and as a bass ...

Super fun day out jigging the Steelshad (color- Kentucky Shad) for some deep water Lake Ontario smallmouth. Water temp was 41- to 43-degrees, I fished from 10:45 until 4 PM and on my last fish of the trip I left them biting. It was just a crazy fun bite. In a separate clip I'll talk more about the presentation and why I work the bait the way I do. Here's where you can find the products used in ...

Or keep them and watch them fry😋
Yes Sir, that's always an option too

Great video. Was that over by the cut?
Nice! 👌
Can always count on those pickerel to BITE!
I see the title says September. We're you actually fishing in September?
Excellent video! What month is this?
Absolutely, September is traditionally my best month for casting to late summer walleye
Yeah buddy!
I love watching these videos. I have small collection zebco 33's. Just pick up a reel yesterday for 3 dollars. It's a older one. Made in the U.S.A.. Took it apart, cleaned it up. Ready for another 50 years. I'm sure your Dad would be proud knowing his Zebco 33 was still out there catching some big ones!
Nice video
Great video as always just found this. Looking forward to 2022 and the great fishing Yet to Come. Thanks for always posting and all the very helpful information in every video
Nice to hear you like em. It's a lot of fun when they bite & the cameras are rolling.
Wondering where you'd been. Glad to see another one to close out 2021. Merry Christmas and happy new year; your videos are well loved in CT by myself and the crew. Thank you for the great insight, gear rundown, footage... all of it!
I just took a break from video work on the Eastern Basin this summer, because most of my prime areas are easily identifiable. However. It good to hear what I do share helps out other anglers, because that's what it's all about. Happy Holidays to you too
Absolutely awesome. I know its a year old, but thank you for the information here. It has been immensely helpful this month. Thank you 10x!
Glad it helped most of the stuff I share remains applicable by season. Hope you lit em up.
Killin it Burn!
Just having fun
Fantastic video Burnie. You convinced me to make the drive for this coming weekend
Awesome job guys congratulations on your win
Awesome job guys congratulations on the win.
Man you guys get on those bronze bass! Great stuff. New sub to the channel.
I love throwing small jerkbaits like that. Sick fish, Burnie!
Man they wanted that little jerkbait! Great fish!
What a gorgeous day for November! Great fish, that smallie at 8:24 is a stud.
What body of water was this?
St Regis & Racquet River on the Akwesasne Reservation in upstate NY. Only accessible when fishing with a reservation native. I fished with William Clute owner/operator Mohawk Trails Guide Service. One of the few places in Region 6 that an angler can legally enjoy Catch & Release Bass fishing.
A lot of in da face action.
Burnie, I've been wondering about your medium light action Rod. Would you consider the speed on this plank to be on the faster side? I also like fishing lighter action rods overall, which I think gives a much better feel for the back but just like you mentioned that your faith doesn't tear out when you land a big fish or do you have a fish hit on a long cast. A few of the lighter rods that I have are very soft, with a slow-acting because they're predominately designed for trout. They're basically noodle rods. I'd love to find a medium or medium light Rod that has a good solid backbone to it for Hooksett but doesn't overpower the fish or finds itself overmatched from the strength of a bass
Based on what you describe the TFO Professional Series in the C703-1 (3 power baitcasting rod) or the S703-1 ( 3 power spinning rod) MSRP $100 are the rods you're looking for. Or for $149 you can buy the TFO Tactical Bass TAC MBR S 713-1 (Spinning) or the TAC MBR 733-1 (baitcaster) all four of these rods are rated for 4-10 lb. test. I use them for #2 & 3 Mepps Aglia spinners, 1/8 -1/4 oz swimbaits, top waters, tudes, Ned rigs, dropshots & jerkbaits, and I drag 3/8 - 1/2 oz football Jigs dressed with a Keitech swimbait. All of these rods are fast action blanks and they cast everything I mentioned real well.. I use Diawa reels spooled with Masterbraid and I can cast 40-47 yards depending on wind conditions. Check em out on line.
Wow, excellent quality smb. Great video as always.
How is Oneida looking for SMB this year? We always go up early May and it can be a struggle for us sometimes.
I usually get busy on Oneida Lake the last week of April, so I'll let you know
@@burniehaney4770 thanks man, any tips or spots would be great. You make it look so easy in your videos. Keep up the great content.
Leader can be longer than four feet. Any added weight. Can't be more than four feet above the hook or fly.
As I demonstrate in the video, when tying in a leader below the weight it can be no more than 4 ft. So I appreciate your comments to help clarify just in case anyone didn't hear exactly what I said. Go catch em up
should keep the fish in the water as much as possible when its that cold out, nice vid
I agree, hence the release within mere seconds, but thanks for the comment
Thanks for sharing see ya out there
heading back up anytime soon?
I live in Henderson Haror, so it's about a 25 minute run south for me. I mostly poke around on the week days Tues - Thurs, helps me avoid the weekend crowds
I'm sorry I watch the whole video
Bradly, a guy has to show the good with the bad, I won't always slam em, but I won't BS you either. Check out today's clip I provide some helpful info and it has one nice jumping steelhead catch. Thanks for stopping by. Tight Lines
What part of Lake Ontario is this ? Black river ? Thanks !
Stony Island Pond
Glad to see you can still get out on the 1st of the year. I'm assuming Oneida has ice and that's why Mike joined you on your home water.
You know it
Whenever I fish for pike and pickerel I try to use jigs. Stickbaits, swimbaits and crankbaits with three treble hooks are just terrible for catch and release fishing.
Chris I encourage you to try using single hook swimbaits like I do. Very good hook up ratio and easy to unhook and release after the catch. Agree on treble hook lures because they can certainly pose a challenge for the catch & release minded angler
Awesome fishing!
Just unreal! Burnie, what a day... great late season vids. I'm considering the run up there this weekend, how deep are you fishing? I might need to make the 4 hour drive...
10-16
Did u drop it down in front of the drop off in the 20 fr of water? Or were u on the flat?
Alex the video puts the viewer in the general area, from there you'll need to poke around to nail em down as they move throughout the day based on sunlight, wind and bait. Have fun
Busy lake in may?
Brian, The lake's not too bad in May during the weekdays, but weekends can be a bit hectic
Joe we should catch a few when you get up here, looking forward to it.
Cool video Burnie
One of my favorite jerks right there
Good video...love the technique. Will use :)
Awesome! I have some fishing gear and tools from passed family members and treasure them greatly. Using them makes me reflect on our times together.
Thanks boss. We are fishing Henderson bay first time. First day tomorrow. Any advice you can give? I would ask how the fishing is but based on your video being recent looks good
Just bounce around the shoals and flats looking in the 9-15 ft zone for any weeds coming off the bottom by about 2-3 ft and you should do just fine.
Burnie Haney that’s good advice. Much appreciated. Hopefully we have some success. Keep on posting the good stuff
I’ve looked at 3 Walmart’s looking for the walleye wonder and haven’t found it. Is it at the Watertown Walmart?
Yes the w Wal-Mart in Watertown still has a few of the 3/8 oz sizes, but if they run out you can also go hit up the Wal-Mart website order them and have them delivered to whichever Wal-Mart store you desire or they ship direct to your house usually takes 5-7 days to get em. Good luck
Hello mr burney. Trying to find more info on walleye fishing in Henderson. I fish eyes on Ontario through the ice and up around cape Vincent this time of year but I’m trying to learn a closer area. Any tips or pointers would be awesome. Are the bass and gull island areas good areas to try?
Send me your email and I'll give you some more info burniehaney@gmail.com
Nice video Burnie. I am out there on the Harbor a lot. I don't catch as many as you. But I catch my fair share.
Ever see musky ,jw ? Going since like 1989,never caught but it's right for them around the "pond" harbor and islands just never have the boat to go look myself ehh.. Smallie between Stony point and Robert Wh was ,IA Mt grounds...
