This is exactly the video I needed to see today 🙌. Being in your 20s can be such a confusing time because everyone is moving at different speeds, and you can feel lost if you start comparing too much or have self-doubt when you go through a situation you never experienced before.

Getting over rejection from a job or school is far more difficult for me than getting over rejection from a prospective partner. You have no control over if a person will choose you or not. Either they will or they won’t but those bills don’t care.

The is your first video I come across and it’s crazy how you came in at the right time. Sometimes we’re aware that we shouldn’t love with such a tight grip or desperation but it’s helpful to hear others remind us of that. Choose yourself people !! Always ! That’s the best thing you can do for yourself. Walking away and choosing yourself is like the biggest form of self love.

i really hope people are able to find this when they need it because i never find the right videos when i need them. i hope you all know that you are amazing, strong people who are amazing with or without another person. you don’t need anyone else to be whole.

This is a message I wish high school me had heard. I’m white, so my experiences look a little different in some areas of my life, but I idealized love and felt desperate to be loved. The messages I saw online at the time were either helping me to idealize love, or saying that no one should really desire it. I think it’s so important to say it’s ok to want love! But you have to have a healthy relationship with love, in the sense that you can’t be desperate for it to the point that you settle or lower your standards to get it. Thank you for this video!
